Chapter Twenty-Six

Mature scene marked with *

Zander and I walk inside our home, his mom closely behind.

“Thanks for the ride mom.”

She smiles at Zander. “Of course honey. Do you need anything else?” She asks as Zander sits on the couch. I just stand off to the side feeling slightly awkward at all of this.

“No, Mom. Go home, check on your house.”

“Okay, you’ll call me if you need anything?” Her eyes look over to me and I just nod with a small smile on my face. “Okay.” She turns and walks away.

I look towards Zander as the door closes, “happy to be home?” I ask him curiously.

“I’d be happier if my girlfriend wasn’t on the other side of the room,” he gives me a pointed look but I’m struggling with everything when I shouldn’t be and I’m not sure how to tell him. I’m supposed to be happy and instead, I keep thinking he’s going to be taken away from me. That I got lucky this time and next time I won’t be.

“You should take shower. I’ll get a trash bag to cover your cast.” I walk into the kitchen and get a black trash bag from the lower cabinet and then tape from the junk drawer.

I open up the trash bag as I walk over to Zander and crouch in front of him, wrapping up his cast. “Freya, what’s wrong?”

“I’m not sure I know what you’re talking about.”

“You’ve been acting differently all day, what’s going on in that pretty head of yours, hm?”

I don’t say anything, just wrap the tape around the trash bag on his arm. I cut the tape off the roll and make sure everything is laid down properly on his arm before I try standing up. Zander’s hand wraps around my arm stopping me from moving, “Frey, talk to me. Come on, I thought we were past this.”

I can’t look at him so I keep my gaze anywhere but on his face. “You almost died,” the words are soft as they leave my mouth.

“But I didn’t Freya, I’m right here.”

“You weren’t waking up, and I thought...” I sigh. “I was happy, like really happy and I almost lost you.”

“Freya, this isn’t something you did, your happiness didn’t cause the accident, you can’t really believe that.” I can hear Zander sigh before his fingers are on my chin trying to get me to look up but I don’t let him, “Freya look at me.” I can hear the plea in his voice but I can’t. “Freya, come on baby, look at me.” I slowly raise my head up and my eyes meet his, “you didn’t cause this, nothing you did or said or thought or felt caused this. It just happened. Don’t blame yourself for something you had no control over.”

“I can’t lose you,” I whisper to him as my eyes fill with tears.

“You didn’t, you won’t.”

“You deserve someone better than me, someone who isn’t broken. I’m broken.” A few tears fall from my eyes at the last words.

“I don’t want anyone else. I only need you.” His thumb brushes a few tears away from my face, his eyes hold nothing but love and adoration as he looks at me. “You are far from broken.”

Our lips press together softly in a kiss before I pull away, “It’s time for a shower, come on.”

I don’t really feel much better, thoughts that he is hurt because of me still swarm my mind but they are quieter now.

After helping Zander shower, and then showering myself, I watch as Zander winces before sitting on the edge of his bed. The doctor said he might have some pain from the accident. “Do you need your pills, the doctor gave you pain medications, I can go get them from your hospital bag?” I say as I stand in front of him, wearing one of his shirts.

“I don’t have them, Freya, I left them.”

“What? Why? I don’t..” Zander’s eyes meet mine and I realize what he is saying and why he is saying it.

“Zander that was a long time ago, you shouldn’t have done that.” I am broken...

“It’s fine, we have Tylenol and Advil, they will work just fine for my pain and I don’t want anything, I’m fine.” He lays back on the bed as he pulls me forward. I catch myself with my hands next to him, hovering half my body over him. “I like you above me.

A blush creeps up my face at his words. “Are you sure you’re feeling okay?”

“Never felt better,” He whispers as his hand entangles in my hair pulling me towards him. His casted arm wrapping around my lower waist, my lips brushing his softly as I climb onto the bed and straddle him.

His hand leaves my hair and lightly moves down to grab my ass, his tongue brushing my bottom lip as he does so. I respond by opening my mouth and grinding my hips into him, feeling his erection against my center. I moan against his mouth as his tongue brushes against mine, I can already feel how wet my panties are from him. I pull away from him, “we shouldn’t.”

“Oh but we are, I need you, Freya.” I look into his blue eyes and every negative thought going through my mind leaves, I nod and press my lips back against his.

Using one arm to hold me up, I use my other to run down his chest and stomach before landing right above the waistband of his basketball shorts. Our tongues dance together as I pull his hardened erection out of his boxers and pants, use one of my fingers to pull my underwear to the side and then slowly lower my hips onto, moaning as he fills me.

The sounds of our moans and groans filled the air as I moved on top of him. Whispered, ‘I love you’, ‘you’re mine’, ‘I’m yours’, and ‘I need you’ fill the air.

I moan his name as my orgasm rises to the surface, he moves his hips meeting my thrust, “come for me, Freya.”

I come crashing down over waves of pleasure, tears falling from my eyes, as Zander keeps moving his hips into me a few more times before his own orgasm takes over.

I bury my head in Zander’s neck, trying to try the tears that are falling.

“Freya, what is it?” There’s a softness to his voice as he tries to get to me move my head so he can look at me, but I don’t move. “Why are you crying?”

“I love you,” I mumble against his neck.

“Is that why you are crying, Freya?” I nod in his neck and he wraps his good arm around me tightly, “I love you, Freya, I’m yours forever.” He presses a kiss to my temple where he can reach.

“I think we need another shower,” I mumble as a joke after I have calmed down.

Zander laughs at my statement, “Maybe a bath, I don’t think I can handle my arm in a trash bag again.”

I sniffle as I sit up, “yeah, okay.”
