The sun blaring through the window wakes me up. I feel around for Noah, but I come up empty. I look around, bleary-eyed. He’s nowhere to be found. I get up and go to the bathroom. He’s not in here either. I grab a shirt of his that’s hanging off the bed and walk out of the room. I go to the kitchen and Noah isn’t in here either, but there’s a plate of cut up fruit and a glass of OJ waiting for me. I smile at the thoughtfulness. I pop a strawberry in my mouth and take a drink of the orange juice. I grab some cantaloupe and continue to look through the house.

Noah’s not in the living room or the dining room. I go back down the hall and peek into each room. He’s not in the music room. I check the next one and find him punching one of those bags that hang from the ceiling. He’s facing away from me and I can see the muscles on his naked back ripple with each hit.

I smile and lean against the door frame with my arms folded over my chest like he’s done several times. I just watch until he finally stops and turns around to drink some water. A smile spreads across his face as he takes a few sips from his water bottle.

“Enjoying the view?” he asks, moving towards me.

“Oh, yes,” I smirk.

Noah’s stalking closer and closer to me, an animalistic look in his eyes. It makes my legs feel weak. When he’s close enough to touch me, Noah grabs my hips and pulls me to him. The warm skin from his bare chest radiates through the cotton shirt I’m wearing, and I melt into his arms as they hold me flush against him.

Noah kisses me hard and my arms immediately go around his neck, pulling him closer to deepen the kiss. I hear him groan and it makes my heart speed. He pulls me up and I wrap my legs around his waist again as he carries me back to his room, then the bathroom. I pull back and give him a questioning look and he smirks at me.

“I just finished working out. I need a shower. Come with me?” Noah says in a gruff voice.

Warmth spreads in my nether regions at that double entendre. Without answering, I pull off his t-shirt in one fell swoop, leaving me unashamedly naked in front of him. A slow smile forms on Noah’s face as he steps into the large walk-in shower to get the water going.

The bathroom is filling up with steam quickly from the waterfall showerhead. It doesn’t take long for Noah to strip off his shorts and pull me into the shower with him. My hands rest against his chest and his hands are clasped around my lower back. We stand there staring at each other as the water cascades against Noah’s back.

A feeling of sadness and anxiety courses through me as I stare at this beautiful, beautiful man. Tonight the shelter in place order ends and I will be going home after this magical weekend. What will it mean for us? Will Noah want to see me again? Are we already past the dates and into the dating? I don’t know where we stand and I don’t want to assume anything. This was only supposed to be a first date, after all, and we’ve already slept together quite a few times.

I think Noah senses my mood shift because he quirks a questioning eyebrow. I want to tell him what I’m thinking, but I’m not sure naked in the shower is the best place for that. Instead, I smile at him and shift my hands to his neck so I can pull him down to me. Noah gives me no objection, and I can feel his smile against my mouth before he deepens the kiss.

Noah spins me around and pins me to the smooth tiled wall with his hips. I suck in a breath from the sudden contact with the cool tiles. I feel his hardness against my stomach and smile. He lifts me up until I wrap my legs around his waist and he’s pressing against me. One good thrust and he’ll be inside me. I wrap my arms around his shoulders to pull him into a kiss, and he rewards me with that thrust. I melt into him again as a moan escapes my mouth.

By the time Noah lets me back down, my legs feel like jelly from the intense rolling orgasms. I stand there with a dumb smile on my face. Noah returns it before pulling me into the water. He reaches behind him to grab some soap. I have my back to him and he moves my hair to the side, so he has access to my back. He washes it then my shoulders and arms slowly getting lower and lower.

I turn so he can finish washing me, then I return the favor. We’ve been in the shower for a while and the hot water never falters. I wish the hot water at my house had this kind of range. I wash my hair last and hope it won’t be too tangled since Noah does not have conditioner. He’s got that all-in-one crap. When I’m finished, Noah shuts off the water and grabs a few towels from the linen closet. He holds it out to me to step into. It’s another big fluffy white one that instantly provides me with warmth.

While Noah dresses, I make my way to the laundry room to grab my clothes from Friday night. I take my underwear out of the dryer and grab my bra. I put on the dress but I leave it unzipped. I find Noah in the kitchen eating some fruit he left for me earlier.

“Can you zip me up?” I ask, turning around to give him access.

“If I must,” he complains. Noah caresses my neck and places a light kiss on it before slowly zipping the dress. I turn, giving him a quick kiss before disappearing back into his bathroom.

I wrap my hair into a bun on the top of my head not bothering to do much of anything with it. Noah’s putting away the fruit and making some eggs and bacon when I come back out. I sit at the bar and watch him in silence. The thoughts I had in the bathroom come crashing back. Would now be a good time to bring them up? I open my mouth to start but nervousness makes me close it again and keep quiet. Not yet.

Noah places a plate in front of me and kisses my temple as he sits next to me. We eat in silence for a bit before he breaks it.

“We still have a few hours. What should we do?” he asks.

“We could watch another movie. If we want to finish the marathon, we’d have to get back together at some point. Is that something you’d want?” I ask, nervous to hear the answer.

“Is that your way of asking if I want to see you again once we’re free?” Noah asks side-eyeing me while sipping his juice. I shrug, feigning indifference, but really I’m dying to know his answer.

“I think dates one through five have gone pretty well, so yeah, I think I’d like to go on a sixth,” Noah replies with a small smile.

“I’d like that too,” I say, taking a sip of juice.

“Maybe next weekend we can watch a few more movies. We could also go out. Either way,” Noah suggests.

“My calendar is pretty open next weekend. I don’t have much of a social life anymore,” I reply. Noah smiles.

“We can change that. Holly and Rachel will be dying to have you back.”

“It’ll probably be a while before they go demanding my attention. They’ve probably had enough of me these last sixth months,” I say before shoving my last bit of bacon in my mouth.

I take my empty plate and glass and place them in the dishwasher before grabbing Noah’s. I follow him back into his bedroom where we cuddle in bed watching the next Marvel movie on the list.

Before long, it’s eight, and the news has confirmed the hurricane is over and the shelter in place order has been lifted. Noah is dressed in some faded jeans and a light blue t-shirt. He put a baseball cap on backward to cover his non-styled hair and he looks drop-dead sexy. I cannot believe I spent the weekend with this man.

Sadness creeps over me at the prospect of leaving. I feel good here, more myself than I have in so long. I’m not really ready to go back to the familiar din that my life has become. Sure, it’s bound to be different, especially if I keep seeing Noah, but still. Leaving this bubble we found ourselves in makes me almost have to gasp for air.

“Ready?” Noah asks once he’s grabbed his wallet and car keys. I smile, but it doesn’t reach my eyes.

“Sure,” I reply, grabbing the hand Noah holds out for me.

We venture outside for the first time since Friday night to see all the destruction this hurricane has left in its wake.
