Chapter 15

[Avery’s POV]

Since I didn’t have choice but to join my guy friends to the beach, I packed my bags. I obviously stuffed my bag with clothes, undergarments, cellphone, bathroom things and importantly, I brought my sunblock with me.

“Ready?” Emma asked me, she was already finished packing her bag. She was so excited that I thought that she would explode. Not really explode but yeah, you get the point.

“Yes,”

“What are you waiting for?” she remarked. “Let’s go!”

“You’re a little too excited for this, Emma,” I informed her whilst she just rolled her eyes at me.

“Why wouldn’t I be excited?” she asked. “This is the first time I’m going to the beach with my boyfriend!”

“Yeah, whatever makes you happy,”

We went outside the room and walked the hallways of the academy. I spotted many people waiting in the lobby and saw my guy friends since they’re the only ones who can go with me. “Hey,” I approached.

“Hey,” they greeted back.

“I can’t wait to see you in a bikini once we get th—“ Leo was about to finish his sentence when his twin, Leon, elbowed him on the stomach.

“Don’t mind him,” Leon said whilst smiling at him. “He’s just a pervert,”

“We’re living in a school for sex addicts, Leon,” Ace pointed out. “It’s okay to be a pervert,”

“He’s right,” I chuckled.

“Oh!” Emma yelled behind me. “There goes my hot boyfriend! See you later, everyone!” and with that, she disappeared from our sight. I sometimes wonder if Emma’s too obsessed about her boyfriend. But who cares? I want my friend to be happy. The headmaster called us out and we each made our way inside the bus. Leon and I sat together whilst Leo and Ace sat right beside us.

It was a good thing that Leon was the one beside me and not Ace. I mean, I still don’t know of what I’m going to feel for Ace starting from the part where Emma said that he might be becoming a guy again because he’s falling for me. Judging from my point of view, our relationship is very unbelievable right now. I really don’t know how to deal with this kind of situation. I mean a gay turning back into a guy because he’s falling in love with you? It’s really that hard of a situation to deal with, right?

“Why do I have the feeling that something’s bugging you right now?” Leon asked from beside me as Colton and his friend sat a little too close from our seats.

“Something really is bugging me right now,” I sighed.

“Am I allowed to know?”

“No, you’re not,”

[Colton’s POV]

I didn’t know how it was possible for my blood to boil when I saw Leon sitting beside Avery. I know that I didn’t have the right to be angry, but hey, that’s my girl he’s flirting with. We sat a couple of chairs away from them, but the chair distance was still enough for me to take note of what Leon and Avery were doing.

“It looks like you’re not the only one falling for Avery’s charms, Colt,” Tucker, my best mate who knows almost everything that’s happening around the campus, said to me. “Even if you don’t want to admit it, it’s obvious that you’re falling for her,”

“I’m not falling for her,” I defensed myself.

“You’re falling really hard, man,” he told me. “If she wasn’t the one who caught your eye, I would have fallen hard for her too. But since you’re my best friend, I’ll let this girl go,”

“I’m not…” I said, not sure of what I’m talking about. “I’m still up for the bet. Until the bet’s finished, she’s still my girl,”

“Whatever you say, man,” he raised both of his hands in defense. “Whatever you say,” and with that, the bus started to move as me and Tucker drifted into a very nice sleep.

“We’re here!” Avery’s voice was the one who woke me up from my sleep. I felt Tucker stirring beside me too, meaning that he also has woken up. At that exact moment, I caught Ace, my twin brother, glaring at me whilst I just shrugged in return.

The thing that angered me the most was Leon’s move of placing his arm around Avery’s shoulder. Who does this guy think he is? Are the two of them that close to be that…intimate? If you’re in my place, you can really say that they’re very comfortable around each other. Do Avery and I look like that? Do we look like we’re comfortable with each other? Maybe. Maybe not. It’s a question that I really can’t answer.

One by one, we hopped out of the bus. It was obvious that everyone’s so excited to go for a swim. “I’m so excited to see girls getting naked right in front of us,” Tucker murmured.

“Me too,”

“Yeah, right,” he rolled his eyes at me. “It’s obvious that you just want to see Avery getting naked just for you,”

Now it was my turn to repeat his remark, “Yeah, right. She needs to beg for me to look at her,”

“How about a bet?” he suggested whilst grinning. “For twenty dollars?”

“Sure,” I nodded. “Why not?”

“How about this one…” he paused then leaned in to whisper something to me.

[Avery’s POV]

I was psyched up to know that Emma and I are going to be roommates again. We first went to our room and out of almost immediately, Emma changed into her two pieces bathing suit then ran out of the room whilst I’m left inside with my mouth hanging open because of how fast she is.

After I changed into my swimming outfit, I heard a faint knock on the door. I wasn’t surprised when I saw Ace, Leo and Leon standing there. “What the hell are you wearing?” Leo asked me.

“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” I raised an eyebrow at him.

“That’s not what you call a bathing suit!”

“I like this outfit, go wear a bathing suit of your own,”

“You look great in my opinion,” Leon chimed in.

“Yeah, great,” Ace nodded as we all turned our heads just to look at him. I believed that Leo and Leon’s eyes were in a minute of bulging out of their sockets.

“What the hell are you talking about?” Leo asked both of the guys. “She’s just in a pair of black shorts and white t-shirt. What’s to be happy about that?”

“Everything,” Leon answered. “You ready?”

“Yes,” I told him and we walked our way to the beach. As I walked, it was pretty obvious that everyone’s staring at me. I mean, do they expect me to wear a bikini too? Is it that impossible to believe? But hey, I think I can’t blame them, I’m studying in a school of sex addicts after all.

“Avery!” Emma waved at me from the volleyball court. “Do you want to join us?”

“Do you know how to play volleyball?” Ace whispered.

“A little,” I smiled at him then yelled back to Emma. “Sure, I’ll join you!” And with that, I ran to Emma and the other girls. There are also a few guys sitting on the sand watching them. I guess they’re just fantasizing of having sex with them. It’s none of my business, so well, whatever.

“Service,” Emma passed me the ball and I caught it. I went to the corner of the court and was waiting for the signal. “Go!” the guy coach yelled. I threw the ball high above the air and used half of my wrist and hand to hit it. As it went to the other side of the court, all the guys cheered. It’s their first time seeing a girl having that kind of power, maybe? Hell, who am I kidding? They just want to get into my pants by flattering me.

Since our opponents didn’t manage to hit the ball, it’s my turn of service again. I threw and hit again but this time, a girl in the same year as me, managed to hit it. I jumped then spiked it really, really hard. Why’d I say really hard? It’s because the ball landed on the girl’s face. The game ended and I ran to the other side of the court, kneeling beside the girl.

“Shit,” I murmured. “I’m really, really sorry,”

“Fuck you,” she replied. Right after her cussing, some guy carried her and brought her to some place that I didn’t want to find out.

“You’re very violent today, aren’t you?” Emma chuckled beside me.

“I didn’t mean to hit her on the face!”

“Really?”

“Yes!” I yelled. “What’s my other excuse then?”

“You’re angry with her because wait a minute…” she tapped her chin with the use of her finger. “Maybe because Colton likes her?”

“Colton?”

“Yeah, Colton,”

“Why would he like her?” I asked Emma. “I thought Colton’s the superior sex addict among all the sex addicts? Why would he care for someone then?”

“That girl is Andrea,” she explained. “The one Colton has a huge crush on in middle school, the one who’s in love with Ace and most importantly, the reason why Colton and Ace hate each other.”
