Chapter 14

Three weeks later
Amanda’s POV

Being Asher’s girlfriend is seriously the best! He’s so kind and gentle and loving towards me. It’s a side of him I’ve never witnessed and I’m glad that I get to see it now. We’ve been together for three wonderful weeks together. Next week on Friday is our one month anniversary. I can’t wait! Thankfully, no one except Justin knows about our relationship.

Anyway, today after my evening training with Jake, Asher came to my room and told me that we were going for a date tonight. He didn’t ask if I wanted to go, he told me that I was going. I didn’t mind since I liked it when he was bossy, but I’d be sure to put him back in check if he ever crossed the line. Whenever I went shopping, I bought a lot of lingerie for Asher and believe me when I tell you he really likes it.

When the clock struck six o’clock, I took a shower and changed into a red lace bra and underwear and then on top, I put on a black off shoulder blouse and black jeans along with knee high boots. Asher had told me to dress casual, and I a glad he did since I didn’t really like formal dresses.

I combed my relaxed hair back and put on a black headband that kept all my hair behind my ears. I applied a bit of lip gloss and some blush as well as a mascara. Once I had worn some emerald earrings that Asher had surprised me with last week, I heard a knock on the door and I smiled, excited to see Asher.

I opened the door with a bright smile and there stood the golden Adonis that I called my boyfriend. Since we were in public, we didn’t kiss each other in greeting, but instead offered each other an affectionate smile and a hello.

“Are you ready?” He asked.

“Yes, but can you please tell me where we’re going?” I pleaded.

“No can do baby, you’ll have to wait,” he said kissing my cheek.

I let out a heavy sigh and followed him outside to his black motorcycle, whom he named Valerie. He stroked her gentle and if it wasn’t for my presence, I bet he would’ve kissed her.

“Isn’t she a beauty?” He asked me with a lovestruck sigh.

“Yeah, and I have to say, I’m jealous,” I said.

“You know that there’s no one else for me, but you,” he said with a smirk.

“Do I?” I asked, continuing my stubborn act.

“Yes, you do.”

I laughed and got onto Valerie and hugged his lower abdomen, leaning in closer to his black leather jacket, his body heat engulfing me. I let out a contented sigh and watched the city lights from a distance as we drove out of the pack and to the main road, through a highway and an hour later we were in front of a large Ferris wheel and other carnival rides.

I let out an awe-struck gasp as I got off Valerie and stumbled a bit closer to the sight before me. There were so many bright lights. There was no one on the rides, so I guessed Asher had asked the owner for a private night on the rides, or, we were trespassing.

“It’s beautiful,” I say to him.

“Yeah, when you told me that you’ve never been to an amusement park, I decided to ask a favour from the owner of the place and bring you here,” he said.

I turned around and kissed him passionately and when I pulled away, I dragged him to the first ride I saw. I was acting like a child in a candy store, but I didn’t care. This was absolutely incredible and I got to experience it with the guy I loved the most in the whole world.

I dragged Asher to each ride in the park and he laughed at my child-like behaviour. When the stars were now out, Asher took me somewhere else on his motorcycle. It was a field not far from the park. It was vast and under the night sky filled with twinkling stars, it looked so shimmery and beautiful. In front of us was a picnic basket and I couldn’t wait to figure out what was inside.

We got off and Asher followed behind me as I opened the picnic basket eager to find out what was inside. When I opened it, the scent of pizza hit my nose and I let out a small laugh.

“What is it?” Asher asked.

“Who brings pizza to a picnic?” I said.

“Me, that’s who.”

Shaking my head in amusement, I took out the box of pizza and spread the black blanket on the grass to place everything. There was a mini cooler with two Mountain Dews and Sprites. Obviously, I was taking the Mountain Dew because I found it tastier than Sprite. There was also a lunch box with PB&J sandwiches, my favourites and a whole lunchbox of candy.

Excitedly, I split everything equally, but kept the candy for myself. The pizza was absolutely mouthwatering, Pepperoni with pineapples, I know weird combination, but Asher likes it too. As we talked about all random things, the pizza finished really quickly and we moved on to sandwiches.

“Oh my god.....this is so good...” I moaned as I took another large bite.

“I’m getting jealous of that sandwich,” Asher pouted.

“Now you know how I feel about Valerie,” I said pecking his lips.

“Well, you’re supposed to be jealous, Valerie is hot as hell, but that sandwich isn’t,” he said.

I pretended to be offended, “Wow, I can’t even believe you right now.”

We ended up bursting out in laughter and I placed down the sandwich and lay down on the blanket just looking up at the stars. I’d always had a weird fascination with stars. I find each an every one of them beautifully unique.

“Stars are beautiful,” I voiced.

“That, they are,” Asher said laying beside me, but he was staring at me.

When we got home, I was so tired and I was surprised I didn’t have a stomach ache from devouring that candy earlier. I unlocked my room door and sat on the bed whilst Asher closed it.

“Um...I got you something,” he says to me and I Cock my head to the side.

“You did?”

“Yeah, it was in the basket and I’m glad you didn’t see it because I wanted to give it to you now.”

“Oh, what is it?” I asked, eager to know, as the anticipation was starting to kill me.

He handed me a small black box and when I opened it, I saw a beautiful gold necklace with a circled emerald in the middle. I gasped at how beautiful it was then looked back at Asher.

“Asher, t-this is too much. I-I can’t,” I did giving it ha k to him.

“Yes you can. I love you, Amanda, and I would spoil you every day if I could,” he said.

“How can I ever repay you for this?”

“Well, you don’t repay anyone for a gift, but I know one thing you can do,” he said kissing my neck and I rolled my eyes.

“Maybe another time, right now I’ve got to sleep.”

He grumbled playfully, then pecked my lips saying goodbye to me.
