•Alexis' POV•

I gaped at the scene in front of me. I quickly covered my shock and put on a blank face. At the corner of my eye, I could see Blake stiffen.

"Do you like it?" He said hesitantly.

I shrugged.

"It's already...just a bit cliche..."

I look at him and saw that his eyes held disappointment while his face had a forced smiled.

"O-Oh ok. Next time I'll do better." He mumbled, smiling at me while his eyes were trying to hide the pain behind them.

I let out an 'aw' before squeezing his cheeks.

"You are too kind for your good. How are you even a Mafia King?"

He shrugged his shoulders as his face slowly light up. He picked me up, bridal style, and carried me to the hammock.

"Hey! What are you doing!"

"Nothing. Just carrying the girl I love."

Suddenly we both tensed. I stared at him with wide eyes, as he slowly put me down. Staring at the sky, instead of me.

"W-what did you just say?"

He shoved his hands in his pocket as he continues to stare at the silent night sky.

"Nothing. Unless you are talking about the noises coming from the living room. Because damn, I can hear it too. Ashley has a really big mouth, you know-" he continues to ramble on before I interrupted him.

"No. You said something about love..."

"Ok! Fine! I said I love you, ok! Jeez, woman! You always want to put me out in the spotlight like that."

I stand there staring at him blankly as he confesses to me. As he calms down he suddenly tenses, having the 'I forgot to do this first' look. He gave me a small nervous smiled before bending down on one knee. I gasped as he pulls out a ring box from the back of his pocket.

"Blakie Bear..."

"Shoo!"

I opened my mouth again, but the glare he gave me made me quickly shut up.

"Alexis Carter, my childhood best friend, and my lover. I love you since the moment I met you, which was 10 years, 14 days, and 5 hours ago."

My eyes widen. He has been keeping track of how long we have known each other?! I don't even remember what day we met!

"I know. That sounds creepy but I have loved you since then. Since I don't want to waste our time, and it's because I don't know what to say, will you do the honor of-"

I stick my hands out.

"Hold up! Are you proposing to me? We aren't even girlfriend and boyfriend yet!"

He let out a loud chuckle. I stared at him in confusion.

"Baby," I like that nickname.

"I'm not proposing. If you had let me finish my speech you would have to know what I was asking."

"Oh...." Awkward.

He shook his head in amusement.

"As I was saying. Alexis Carter, would you do the honor of being my girlfriend?"

My mind went blank as he stares at me with hopeful eyes.

"OF COURSE!"

I spread my arms out as I jump on him. He stumbled back a little but regained his balance. He hugged me tightly as I screamed in joy.

The door that we enter suddenly slammed open. Both our heads snapped in the door's direction. Reviewing a wild Ashley with bunny slippers and a broom in her hand.

"Who's ther-"

Her eyes widen as she stares at us. We both stare at her while she stares back at us. She was slowly back away as she closed the door.

"I-I'm...I'm just going to leave."

She slammed the door shut before screaming, "I'm too young to be an aunt!"

I blushed as I turned my attention back to Blake. I stick my hand out as he stared at it.

"What?"

"The ring."

"Oh. Ooooh! Right, here."

He slides the ring on my ring finger on my right hand. I stared at our matching rings. Mine had a closed heart and the inside says 'forever love' while he had a heart key with the words 'open your heart' on the inside.

"I was actually about to get you a promise ring that had the word 'Taken' in bold words." He admitted.

I slapped the back of his head.

"Ow! What was that for!"

"For being an insecure, possessive boyfriend."

He gave me a big smile.

"I have ever right since you are my girlfriend now."

I let out a small giggle which made his grin grew even bigger. He kissed my forehead before talking again.

"Let's go night seeing! That was my plan for the date anyways."

He pulled me to the hammock and cuddled with me. He pulled the blanket closer to us as we silently stare at the sky.

It was getting so quiet that I was wondering if he was sleeping. I turn and look at him. He had his eyes close while mumbling a few words.

"What are you doing?"

He opens his eyes and looks at me.

"Making a wish."

"How do you know if it will come true or not?"

He stares at the star and points at one of them.

"Look at that one. Make a wish and I will tell you if it will come true."

I closed my eyes. I wish Blake and I will be a happy family one day. I opened my eyes and look at him.

"Ok. What now?"

"It will come true."

"How do you know?"

"If you look at the star and it makes a small spark then it will come true. Now, look at the star while I make a wish. Tell me if it comes true."

I nodded my head and stare at the star. It indeed did make a little spark.

"Will my wish come true?" I heard him asked.

"Yes."

His mouth turns into a huge grin. I wonder what he wished.

I snuggled closer to him as I felt a small breezed pass by. I felt so warm and safe in his arm. I felt Blake's cheek rest on the top of my head as we both look at the night sky.

"Blake..."

"Hm?" He hummed in reply.

"I love you."

His body quickly detached from me as he fell out of the hammock. If it wasn't for my tight grip on the hammock I would have fallen face-first on the grass.

He stands up and hovers over me. Cupping my cheeks with the palm of his hands.

"You l-love me?"

"Yes."

"I love you too."

I smiled as he stares into my soul. Without a warning, he pressed his lips to mine. And I happily accepted the kiss.
