Julian’s P.O.V

“How much did you pay for this place?” Aiden asks after whistling as we enter the hotel, his eyes trailing their way throughout the cream walls.

“Don’t worry about it.” I say heading for the front desk ignoring his curious stare. I get the room keys quickly before following the signs to the nearest elevators, once inside Aiden drops the bags I pre-packed this morning in secret. He slides his hand into my own, entangling our fingers before squeezing my hand tightly. I watch our hands as the connection brings the unique sense of satisfaction throughout my body.

“We don’t have to if you don’t like it.” He says loosening his grip.

“No! I don’t mind.” I say quickly making him chuckle slightly. “It’s nice.”
I comment as a smile tugs its way on the corner of my lips, we each take a bag when the elevator opens making sure to keep our fingers intertwined as we walk to our room.

“Holy shit..” Aiden mutters to himself as we walk into the hotel room.
It was much nicer than it appeared on the internet, the room was very spacious with a large tv in front the king sized bed along with a lounge area, large bathroom, closet and kitchen. The view was probably the best part, the hotel overlooked some beautiful mountains and we had a perfect view of the valley the hotel presided in.

“I take it you like it.” I say joining him at the large, glass wall that gave us such a nice view.

“Like?” He exclaims turning towards me. “I love it.” He says with a large childish smile that I’d come to love lately. I liked seeing him happy and I liked it even more when I was the cause, the joy in his eyes was enough to make the rest of the world fade away leaving only the two of us.

“I’m glad.” I say with a weak smile.

“Thank you.” He says genuinely before pressing a kiss to my cheek. The spot he kissed remained abuzz as he pulled away all too soon, I hold back the oncoming waves of pleasure, wanting to keep the moment the way it was.

“No problem.” I say once I regain control of my emotions and desires. He’s too caught up with the view to notice though. I knew Aiden had a thing for views, so I made sure to get a room that’ll let him see the sunset and sunrise behind the mountains everyday if he wanted.
I leave him quietly as I swiftly unpack our bags and call the front desk to make sure all my plans for tomorrow were in place. It was different for me to care so much, but I couldn’t help but want to make sure that he’d have a extraordinary week with me. I wanted us to have a good time, together.

“I saved us a table at one of their restaurants, so what do you say to Sushi for dinner.” I say pulling his attention away from the window.

“Sure, I’ve never had it before though.” He replied walking over to me.

“Me either.” I say before shoving him towards the bathroom. “Shower first.”

“Come with me.” He says grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him.

“Aiden...” I warn as he slides his hands around my waist.

“Please.”

“If I do we won’t leave.” I say pushing away from him, the action causing my heart to clench itself as Alex whines angrily. “Now hurry up.” I say pushing him in before shutting the door. I let out a breath of exhaustion before I pick out some clothes for myself as I wait for him to finish up.

“You can go ahead.” He says once he exits the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist. I watch his wet body as water trickles down his skin, his abs glistening a bit under the light as he runs his hand through his wet hair. I bit my lip at the mouth watering sight, my eyes trial up to find him watching me with amused eyes. I grab my things before rushing into the bathroom, desperate to escape the room that was now filled with laughter.

I don’t know why you get so embarrassed- Alex says once I step into the shower. There’s nothing wrong with admiring your mate, even if that mate is that deficient fool.

I know, thanks - I reply laughing at his description of Aiden. The only person who hated Aiden more than me was Alex, my wolf. Well I should say used to hate, I don’t think he felt that way anymore, I know I didn’t.

Stepping out the shower, I dress quickly in a white button up and a pair of knee length shorts before putting my hair into a slicked back ponytail. I leave the room to see Aiden sitting on one of the couches scrolling through his phone, I did a quick discreet look over of him. He was wearing his shades, as always, a blank button up with short sleeves and black jeans.

“Aren’t you looking very dapper.” He comments with a smirk as he walks over to me.

“Let’s go.” I say grabbing the room key and my wallet as he follows behind me. We stand in silence as the elevator takes us down to the food floor. “You look nice too.” I mumble making sure not to look his way, the happiness he felt spread throughout the small space as he took my hand in his once again without another word.

---

“What the hell is a Temaki?” Aiden asks looking at the large menu.

“I think that’s the cone shaped one we saw earlier.” I say flipping through the menu of pure gibberish.

“Oh, I want to try that.” He says excitedly.

“I think it’s best if we get a few different types of the Maki Rolls and some of the cone ones and share.” I suggest looking up from the menu to find him playing around with it.

“Sounds good.” He says putting the menu down when he sees me watching him. “I want this one and this one, oh and this one.” He says pointing them out from my menu. We order everything quickly before handing over our menus, I look around the crowded restaurant filled with couples eating and talking happily. My eyes return to Aiden who was already looking at me making me frown a little.

“What?” I snap, a lot harsher than I meant to sound.

“Nothing.” He says with a devious smile that begged to differ. “I know you said we’d be here for the rest of the week, but when are we heading back?”

“Sunday evening.” I say sipping my water.

“What about the packs?” He asks quickly.

“What about them?”

“Aren’t you worried about them?” He asks in surprise.

“Not really. They’re adults, we’re the kids to them. I think they can manage for a few days.” I reply with a shrug.

“That’s true.” He agrees as he leans back in his seat. “Hey Jewels.”

“What?”

“Are we on a date?”
The question takes me surprise as I look at him with wide eyes, were we? We were at a restaurant, dressed up and talking, it felt more like a date the more I thought about it.

“I think so.” I say too unsure to say yes.

“Okay, then let’s treat it like one.” He says leaning forward as he places his face in his hands.

“What do you mean?” I ask in confusion.

“I mean let’s act like we’re on a date. Get to know more about each other and all that stuff.” He reiterates with a growing smile.

“Okay...” I say still a little unsure of what he meant.

“You have to be nice.” He demands making me roll my eyes. “See that, no attitude. I’d like nice Julian please.”

“Fine. Then you have to take off your shades.” I reply with a smile.

“Why?”

“You ever tried talking to someone while staring into darkness?” I say with raised eyebrows, he sighs before taking them off revealing his beautiful brownish black eyes with that lovely golden tint to them.

Paramore - 26

“Okay, what’s your favor color?” He starts.

“Really?” I ask in disappointment at such a horrible conversation starter, he gives me that look that tells me to just go with it. “Fine, white.”

“What kind of favorite color is white?” He exclaims in shock.

“What kind of favorite color is black?” I reply making his eyes narrow.

“How do you know that?”

“You wear black more than people who work at funeral homes.” I say making him chuckle as a smile stretches across his lips. “Okay my turn, favorite band or singer.”

“Arctic Monkeys.” He says quickly. “You?”

“Singer, a guy called Lauv and band, Eden. Both not very popular though.” He nods in understanding before straining visibly to think of a question.

“Cats or dogs?”

“Wolves.” I say with a smirk that he quickly returns. The food arrives interrupting our little game, when the waiter leaves we quickly continue while eating. “DC or Marvel.”

“Oooo.” He says while eating one of the rolls. “Do I have to pick?”

“Yes.”

“Fine, DC.” He says making me gasp as he hides his face in his hands. “I’m sorry!” He cries making me laugh as he peeks through his fingers. “Okay, books or-”

“Books.” I say cutting him off.

“What about h-”

“Books Aiden, always books.” I reiterate as I continue to stuff my face. “You have to try this one, it has avocado.”

“I love avocado.” He says excitedly as I pick up the roll.

“I know.” I reply with a smile before leaning over the small table with the roll in my chopsticks. His eyes search mine as he leans forward a little taking the roll in his mouth. I linger there momentarily as I watch him chew slowly before I sink back in my seat.

“I like it.” He says after a moment of silence. “Continuing, grass or sand?”

“What kind of question is that?” I reply with a chuckle as he smiles at my reaction. “Both are annoying, but I guess grass is better.”

“Vegetarians.” He mutters making me laugh.

“What does that have to do with anything?” I ask watching him as he started one of the cones.

“Evhrythinf.”

“Whatever, my turn.” I ask still laughing. “Why don’t you paint anymore?”

“Because you burnt down my art room!” He exclaims making me laugh even more. “It’s not funny.”

“That’s not any reason to stop.” I say eating the last roll.

“I know but I didn’t want to after losing so many of my pieces.” He replies diverting his eyes for the first time. I curse myself mentally for picking a soar topic.

“I like your eyes.”

“What?” He asks looking my way again.

“I like your eyes. They’re like a brownish black, it isn’t really one or the other. Then there’s that gold streak over them.” I say resting my face in my hands as I studied him.

“Oh.” He says finishing his second cone.

“I wish I could see them more.” I say honestly making him fidget slightly.

“I’ll stop wearing shades home, if you want.” He offers awkwardly.

“I’d like that.” I say with a smile. “Ready to head out?”

“Yeah.” He says returning the smile. After paying the bill, we head out with wide smiles as we walk with Aiden’s arm around my shoulder and mine around his waist.

“Favourite movie.” I say suddenly as we walk through the hotels indoor aquarium space.

“Of all time, Die Hard.” I shove him away in disappointment.

“Living up to stereotypes are we?” I ask watching him as my fingers trace the glass that held the fish prisoners.

“I’ll take that, what about you?” He asks keeping his eyes on me.

“Easy, Treasure Planet.” I say with a wide smile at the mention of the movie.

“Come on.”

“Come on what? That movie is amazing.” I say firmly while watching a blow fish puff out suddenly. “Book?”

“I don’t read much, but A Midnight Summer’s Dream was good.” He says scratching the back of his head.

“First off that’s a play and secondly that’s a classic.” I say watching him with weary eyes. “I’m impressed.”

“Guilty pleasure?” He asks as we continue walking on opposite sides of the cave like empty halls.

“Promise not to laugh?” I ask turning away from him as I stop in my place, facing the aquarium.

“Of course not.” He replies the smirk completely audible.

“Gossip Girl.” I say with a sigh as his laughter echoes throughout the space. I keep my eyes on an approaching sting ray as he continues to bask in his never ending laughing fit. It slowly dies down as he approaches me, I keep my eyes forward as he gets closer. The hairs on the back of my neck stand straight when he’s right behind me, he slides his arms around my waist taking my hands in his at my stomach before resting his head on my shoulder. “What’s yours?” I ask keeping my eyes straight ahead.

“You.”

I turn my head quickly to find him looking at me with a small smile that sends my heart soaring to the mountain tops. I slowly smile back at him before facing forward as he does the same, our eyes stay trained to the fishes as our hearts soar away together.
