At school

I was at lunch with my friends, sitting in the courtyard. We laughed as we shared hot Cheetos.
"Kay, are you coming to Rileys party?" Julia requested. I shake my head. "I don't think so."

I used to be constantly a third wheel at parties. Julia and Carly go upon their night with their boyfriends as I stood there with my water bottle I had grabbed from my string bag.

"Come on," Carly begs. She pouts and clings onto my arm. Are you serious?

I sigh and avoid all eye contact. "I'm just tried of the same parties." They can't convince me of anything. I'm stubborn.

"Just come to this one."

Fuck, I was wrong. I curse to myself and look into their puppy dog eyes. "What would I do there?"

"Dance with us,"Julia says, nudging into me. Yeah right.

I scoff and laugh to myself. "Julia, You guys have boyfriends."

"Well we can save a dance for later at the party," Carly says, pouting.

"I have nothing to do so I guess I'll go." My friends squeal wrapping their arms around me. I finally crack and open up to their hug. I guess I'll have to pack my emergency string bag for the night.

The party

(The outfit for the night.)

I watched my friends from the far corner. They both and play around, looking like they were having fun. I was alone like always. I went to grab a drink. I was about to leave but some guy ran up to me.

"Hi I'm Tyler," he says, putting out his hand.

I frown when I realize it was the one and only, Tyler Woodland. He is a total tool and deplorable boy. I mean yes he was very hot, but that didn't change the fact that he was a dick.

And why the fuck was he talking to me?

"And I'm leaving," I replied. He clings onto me before I walk even a inch away. "Hold on." Why is he touching me?

"I get it," I shout. What is it with some men grabbing women?

He frowns and tilts his head. "Get what?!"

"Call me your stupid nicknames." I roll my eyes and pull away. I cross my arms over my chest.

"Your friends walk around calling me names. Like fatty patty. Just becomes I'm big, doesn't mean it's right to call me names. I'm already insecure enough."

"I wasn't gonna say anything hurtful."

I walked to the door but was grabbed by my wrist. I grab my wrist from Tyler's grasp.

"I think your perfect just the way you are."
I nod before walking away. I look for a space on the couch. Tyler takes an empty spot.

"I don't know where to sit," I shout.

Tyler gestured to his leg. "Sit here." I shake my head in disapproval.

"Why not?!" He shouts.

I tug on my string bag. "I can sit outside." Before I can even move, he pulls me down on his lap. "It's fine," he chuckles.

I felt like I was crushing him.

"Your not crushing me," he replied. I grow confused. "How did y-" He interrupted me.

"How old are you?," he asked. I avoid all eye contact with him. "I'm 16."

"Me too," he says smiling. "I never got your name."

"I'm Katherine Lambert but call me Kay," I suggested.

"Well Kay, how do you know me?" He asks.

"Your the kid who got suspended on the first day of school and your dad thought the school was doing the wrong thing so he made you change schools." He looks down at his hand.

"I don't regret getting suspended."

"You should," I say, grabbing water from my string bag.

Someone pushes me, moving me closer to Tyler. His face was in my face. Any inch closer and I could collide to his pink lips. I quickly pull away. I feel water trickle into my lap. I curse whipping away it away.

"I'm sorry." He shakes his head and scratches the back of head."No, it's fine"

"It was someone," I mumbled.

It becomes quiet between us.
I am in the process of rewriting certain things. When I wrote this, I was highly depressed. I was very insecure about my body. Luckily, now I'm a lot better. I don't feel as I do before. I'm a lot more comfortable with my body now.

Whatever you're going through, you will heal!!!
It takes a long process, but damnit it's worth it. You will see the beautiful within you.
