❝Nice to meet ya. What's my name?❞

"Nar-" Hardin's voice died down looking at the couple blissfully sleeping, hugging each other as if both are afraid to lose each other.
He clutched the flowers breaking their stem in the process. The sudden feeling of jealously erupted within his core but he soon shook it down making his mind and heart to believe that it's just because they both are his best friends and was sad cause they didn't tell about their relationships.
But then a thought strike him Was she going to tell us that they are couple on my announcement day? He thought to himself and felt ashamed of not being the proper friend to them.
So he did what he did with his feelings towards Narine, like a coward he rushed out from the house not bothering with anyone's feelings.
"Hey don't do that." Narine whines at the cream Lucas whipped across her button nose. Claudia smiles at their cute interaction while Hardin fist his hand jealously soaring in his soul. He smiles forcefully when Claudia looks at him but soon stopped when Lucas placed an eskimo kiss freezing both Hardin and Narine.
"Ow." Lucas jolt back when Narine punches him but laughs when he makes those horrible faces.
"Ok so I have to go cause I have my piano class. Bye." Narine stands and kisses Lucas and Hardin and smiles bitterly at Claudia who innocently smiles back at the acid pouring stretch lines.
"Hey I am coming." Narine roll her eyes when Lucas calls her from back.
"I told you Lucas never to call me from behind."
"Oops sorry and yeah thanks Hardin for the party and congrats Claudia for appearing in his life." Narine's smile soon fade away when the harsh reality press upon her.
The cafe Hardin brought them was to celebrate his and his girlfriend's first month anniversary. Narine clutches the side bag scrowling at the smile and laugh Hardin releases whenever Claudia says something or the adoration which Hardin had for her is now replaced by Claudia.
Hardin never glanced at Narine nor the group was before. As if it was broken, the strong connection is now replaced with a thin string. They met each other properly after one month. Hardin spoke less to Narine nor he comes to her house like before. Tears pour down from her eyes at the new thought. He changed.
"Hardin come with us after all we all know how much you adore hearing the play she performs." Narine's breath hitches at his reply.
"No it's ok. By the way Claudia and I will visit her family, her parents invited us." Lucas was disappointed at how Hardin soon start to dodge off their friendship.
"B-" Narine's laugh cut Lucas sentence.
"Leave the couple and yeah Lucas I want to walk alone. Please, can you just like you know?" Her rambling made Lucas sad. He knows how much Narine feels happy whenever Hardin was present but these recent days Narine's smile dropped. She smile less and talk less.
Today she had the nightmare that only he and she knows, not even Hardin. So he reached to her house to console her and both of them slept peacefully. He still remembers how fragile and vulnerable she looked when he came.
"Yeah I will drop you to the school."
Narine feels content that she met him, at least there is someone who knows her but the way she used him, she still feels guilty.
Even though these recent days the eyes of crowd decreased and everything was back to normal. Marlene apologised in front of the hall but something snapped, as if someone was content at the broken friendship of them, but who?
Jordan, well the case is suspicious except to two people who knows what happened to him, Marlene and Narine. Jordan was shifted to ICU because he went to coma due to an accident that recently happened which was done none other than but Narine herself.
Narine took one last glance at Hardin who too glanced back. She smiles at him but paused her actions when she met the cold teal ones which soon turn soft when Claudia hugs him from behind kissing his cheek.
"And yeah do tell us when will you accept our appointment. After all we have to wait for someone who came later in our group. Break this friendship if you think it's weighing like shit tons." Her voice boomed in the entire cafe pausing everyone's actions and turn to look at the source of voice.
Hardin was astonished at her abrupt talk. "What?"
She fold her arms and says "We are tired of the constant excuse of yours to be with us. You even stopped coming with us in the cafeteria and stay with Claudia. If you have a slightest priority for your friends please take sometime cause to be honest we have other works to do rather than thinking what happen to someone who doesn't talk to us."
"Is that what you think about me?" Hardin says trembling.
"Is what you are. Lucas let's go we don't want them to break up for us." Lucas just followed behind her but stopped and turn back saying "Kindly stop what you think you were doing and if you don't I am sorry I will become the Lucas who first met you."
Hardin looks down ashamed that his actions let both of his closest friends to drift apart. "Hey it's ok, Hardin. Give them sometime and talk to them. I know it's overwhelming but I stand for them, you spend lots of time with me that you forgot they exist."
He smiles at her "Thanks for being with me." Claudia smiles at him and kiss his lips. "I am glad to be your side."
"Thanks Lucas." She smiles at him.
He kisses her cheek and winks "No problem."
She giggles and enters inside the building.
"Hey Narine." She was startled but put a smile on her face when she met with the beautiful lady Ms. Parker.
"Hello Ms. Parker."
She save a her hand dismissively "How any times did I ordered you to call me Emily."
"Oops I forgot." Emily giggles at the simple innocent girl.
"Oh I forgot to say but there is a guest who wants to meet you. Are you excited?" Narine nods her head excited about the unknown guest.
"Come let's meet the person."
She walks behind her and enters the hall where a lady stood in front of them with her back.
"Hello she came."
The lady turns back, her starry eyes clashing the blue ones. She is so pretty. Narine thinks. The way the jeans and the top hugs her curves makes her look like the Aphrodite she actually is.
She smiles at Narine, the smile that she was unknown of, the smile that holds curiosity and pain at the same time.
She whispers the name which she got to know when they were heading towards her. Even though her name is simple but the way she should pronounce it, should be with respect and dignity. Her aura screams power.
