Chapter 7

Rebecca stared at him wide-eyed for a long time before she giggled. “Felix, you don’t look anything like a vampire, and I’ve had my head on your chest, heard your heartbeat, and... Wait, you said a vampire’s heart does beat. Are you for real?” She asked, ending her question in a whisper.

Felix nodded before he softly begged, “Please, don’t be scared of me.”

Rebecca just shook her head, showing him, she wasn’t.

So, Felix closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Taking in Rebecca’s scent, he allowed his beast to move forward to see his Geliebte, Beloved. When he opened his eyes, he found she’d moved closer to him, her eyes wide as she stared at his now sharper vampiric features.

Felix knew his cheekbones had broadened slightly to allow for the extra teeth he now had. His forehead over his eyes was now bumped out, which created wrinkles over his nose. His eyes would now have an almost feline slant to them. Felix also knew his eyes were red and ringed in blue, a sure sign of arousal in a vampire. The sight of them was proof that the scent of his Geliebte aroused him. His fangs were now on full display.

“You are a vampire,” Rebecca breathlessly whispered.

It was a sound that went straight south, causing his cock to harden. This caused him to hiss out around his fangs, ”Ja, Geliebte. I am, and you are mine.”

Rebecca cocked her head. “Yours?”

"Ja. For every vampire, there is the perfect person who completes us in every way. Sadly, sometimes our beast never finds that person. For me, though, you are that perfect one. You are meine Geliebte.”

“Perfect person... completes you... beloved? I wondered why you called me Beloved when we first met,” Rebecca mumbled. “So, I’m like your soulmate? Is that what you’re saying, Felix?”

"Ja.”

“Is that why from the moment I saw you this morning, I wanted to ask you where you’ve been all my life? Is that why, when you gently cleaned my hands, you made me feel so cared for and wanted?” Rebecca continued her questions, and Felix nodded in agreement with each of them. “It was such a weird feeling to have since I’d just met you.”

"Ja, you felt a little of the bond pulling on your psyche; and I am so glad,” Felix said. Then he pulled her into his arms and ran his nose along her neck. “You smell so sweet, meine Geliebte. Will you let me have just a taste to see if you taste as good as you smell?”

Felix heard her heartbeat pick up at his question. He also noticed how her breathing became slightly erratic, yet she showed no fear.

“I-I’m not sure. Will it hurt?”

"Nein. It will give us both much pleasure and increase the strength of our bond.”

“Will you kill me by taking too much?”

"Nein, I only want a taste. If you were to put it in a measuring cup, it would be no more than a fourth of a cup, at the most,” Felix answered. “You are everything to me, and if I were to kill you, I would be killing myself. Now that I’ve found you, I don’t want to be without you ever again.”

“Will it turn me into a vampire-like you?”

"Nein. For you to become as I am, it takes much more than one small bite. Although, if you choose to become as I am later, you may, or I can begin to age as you do so we may die of old age,” Felix explained.

“Oh-okay then. I suppose it would be alright.”

Getting off the bed, Felix moved to stand between her thighs and cupped the back of her head with one hand. On the other hand, he used to move her hair from her neck. Felix couldn’t kiss very well with his fangs fully extended the way they were, so instead, Felix leaned in and gently licked his way down her neck. When Felix reached her pulse point, he swirled his tongue around it, numbing the skin there.

Rebecca began to moan a bit as her hands reached up and held on to the front of his shirt.

After numbing the area, Felix bit down, and her blood rushed over his tongue, making him moan at the sweetness of her flavor. It was like nothing he had ever tasted before. Felix had heard from his older Bruders how good blood was from the vein, and he’d never done it. What was even better was when it came from your Geliebte. This was his first bite ever, and her flavor was highly addicting.

Forcing himself to stop, Felix pulled back and gazed at her. Felix retracted his fangs so that his features were once more normal. “Did it hurt?”

Rebecca’s eyes fluttered open, and she smiled at Felix, answering, “No, in fact, it felt good.”

“It felt good for me also. This is the first time I’ve taken from the vein.”

Rebecca’s eyes widened at that. “But... isn’t that how you take nourishment?”

"Nein. I drink my blood from a glass or bottle. When my Bruders Leo and Bruno were young, and maybe even Tobias, it was acceptable to take from the vein, but not now. If we were to feed from the vein now and kill someone, the hunters would come after us.”

“Where does the blood come from then?”

Kicking off his shoes and taking hers off also, Felix moved her further up on the bed. Laying down and getting comfortable, he cuddled her into his side.

“There is a certain company run by vampires that get the blood for us. We buy it much like when you buy groceries from a store. I suppose they get their supply in the same way a hospital does, but I’m not sure. I know there are a few humans who know about us, so perhaps they are paid to donate,” Felix explained.

“Hm... so what would happen if you decided you like the vein better and began hunting humans for blood? Not killing them, just taking a bit?” Rebecca asked as she looked up at him.

“I’m not sure exactly. That is something you would need to ask Kendra. She’s Tobias’ Geliebte. She was a hunter before they got together. But I suppose if you didn’t harm them...” Felix sighed. “I wouldn’t want to take that chance, though, Kitten. Even though I have never done it before, it felt good. The taste of it was so much better than anything out of a bottle. Plus, it’s so warm; it would be so easy to go too far because of how good it was.”

“But you drank from me and stopped.”

Turning on his side, Felix turned her to face him, and they lay there gazing at each other for a moment. ”Ja, but you are meine Geliebte, and as such, I will need a bit of your blood daily anyway now that I have found you. It will keep our bond strong, and it will also keep my beast alive. It’s different with you, Kitten. As my beloved, you will give it willingly, and it is not taken from you by force. That is why I ask if I could, and I always will.”

“So, I could have said no?”

"Ja, you could have, and I would have respected that. Although, I would not have liked being denied,” Felix mumbled his admittance as he looked down and away from her eyes.

“Felix.”

Felix glanced back at her, unable to deny the sound of her voice.

“I wouldn’t do that to you. I wouldn’t deny you what you need, not on purpose,” Rebecca whispered. Her hand came up, and she ran it along his jaw, creating shivers of need just at her touch.

Felix leaned in, and she raised her lips to meet his. Felix moaned, longing for more, but he knew she wasn’t ready for that, so he pulled back.

“Felix, why did you stop?” Rebecca quietly asked as her eyes fluttered open.

“Because if I continue, I’m going to want more,” Felix explained with a soft sigh. “Kitten, I need to explain something to you, and I hope it will help you understand better.”

“Okay, I’m listening.”
