Chapter 7

Sienna's POV;

The next morning ~

I'm currently at work having my 5th cup of coffee. The only thing that is keeping me awake right now. Damn you Xander!

"Why are you so tired?!" She asks, smirking and wiggling her eyebrows. I glare at her, she obviously knows why I didn't get any sleep.

"Bye!" I walk away and I can hear her laughing.

Later in the evening ~

It's currently 5pm and about an hour until we finish our shift and all of us are just talking about anything and everything since we don't get as many customers at this time. We were all laughing and giggling until the air around us changed to fear. Walking in Xander with 2 other men,I thought I told him I never want to see him again and here he is. I am beyond angry right now. His eyes have eye bags under them showing he hasn't slept. He's wearing a casual t-shirt and jeans along with a leather jacket. He clears his throat so all of our attention is to him.

"Come with me." He gestures towards me.

"Why should I?!" I ask irritatedly. Who does he think he is to boss me around? Everyone just looks at me like I'm crazy, and then there is Cora who is just smirking at me.

"I need to talk to you." He says.

"And I don't. So kindly leave." I send a sarcastic smile and point towards the door. The two men who came with him look like they are about to burst into laughter.

"Don't make me come and drag you out of here like what I did at the club.” He says in a serious tone and I knew he wasn't kidding.

I started walking towards him and I could just see the smirk on his face like he'd won the lottery. Ugh I wish I could just wipe that smirk off of his face. We headed outside of the coffee shop and headed into a small alleyway next to the coffee shop. I was the first one to say something.

"So. Talk!" I demanded.

"What did you mean yesterday when you said you've been through worse?!" He asks.

"That's. None. Of. Your. Business!" I say angrily in a calm tone. How dare he question my past.

"Of course it's my business. I'm your boss, you're my employee, it's important I know everything.”

I scoff.

"Exactly I'm your employee that doesn't mean it should concern you about my personal life and what happened in my past.” I explained, annoyed.

Before he got to say anything, gunshots were heard and loud screams filled the streets. My first thought was Cora, when I was about to run back inside Xander grabbed my arm in a tight grip so I couldn't escape.

"Let go!!!" I scream.

"No! It's too dangerous." He says slowly.

"Stay here!" He says in a scowling manner. He lets go and and walks off, I'm assuming to see where it's coming from. Like hell I'm going to stay here. I start waking cautiously towards the coffee shop, which was a rather stupid idea. Next thing I know I feel a sharp, unbearable pain coming from my leg and arm. I just got shot. Twice!

"SIENNA!" That's the last thing I heard before everything went pitch black.

Xander's POV;

When I climbed out of bed I felt exhausted,
I didn't get a blink of sleep last night. I went to the bathroom and took a shower and got dressed into a plain black t-shirt, jeans and a leather jacket. I headed towards the kitchen and made some coffee to keep me awake for the day. I head into my office and see the file placed on my desk. I take a look and read it. Everything looks normal. But I didn't get it, when she tried to punch me her away was perfect. If I wasn't fast enough I would've gotten punched in the face. She was fighting as if she was trained to do it. Hm. I close the file and place it back on the desk and head towards the living room. Once I enter I see Scar and Aiden fighting like 5 year olds.

"It's my turn to go to the coffee shop with him. You went to the club with him yesterday. Plus I want to meet this girl who has been keeping Xander on edge." Aiden says.

"I am his right hand, I'm expected to go everywhere he goes." Scar talked back.

"Both of you stop acting like damn 5 year olds."

"Let's go." We start heading towards my car. We start driving to the coffee shop where Sienna works at. I never found an actual reason to go there since I handed the coffee shop to my old friend Mark who handles the coffee shop when I'm not there which is most of the time.

We walk into the coffee shop and see everyone laughing and giggling, until I see one of the guys arm around Sienna's shoulders. I don't know why this angers me so much. I clear my throat and everything stops. Everyone looks terrified which makes me smirk. I look over to Sienna who has a blank expression on her face, of course the little spitfire isn't scared.

"Come with me." I gesture towards Sienna, but of course she doesn't budge. God, why does she have to be so stubborn.

"Why should I?!" She asks obviously irritated.

"I need to talk to you." I honestly don't know why I said that, but I really wanted to talk to her even though I had nothing to talk to her about.

"Don't make me drag you out of here like what I did at the club." I say seriously hoping she would take the hint.

She starts walking towards me and I can't help the smirk that forms on my face. She's obeying for once without putting up a fight.

Once we got towards the alleyway beside the coffee shop, she demands,

"So. Talk!"

If someone else had spoken to me like that they would've been 6 feet under ground by now. She's lucky I kept her alive.

"What did you mean yesterday when you did you've been through worse?!" I just had to ask this has been bugging me all night.

"That's. None. Of. Your. Business!" She says emphasising each word.

" Of course it's my business. I'm your boss, you're my employee, it's important I know everything." Of course she's not like an employee to me if she was I wouldn't have dragged her out of the club to ask what she was wearing.

She scoffs and looks annoyed.

"Exactly I'm your employee that doesn't mean it should concern you about my personal life and what happened in my past." She yells.

Before I even get to reply to her remark, gunshots are heard. I could see the panic in her beautiful eyes as she started running towards the coffee shop. But before she even takes a step, I grab her arm and ignore the sparks. She tries to get out of my grip but I hold her with all my strength.

"Let go!!!" She screamed.

"Stay here!" I demand. I start walking where I can hear the gunshots being fired. I could see Scar and Aiden were already handling it. Just then I hear a loud, painful scream which sounded like Sienna. I run as fast as I can and see Sienna laying in her own pool of blood. I quickly pick her limp body in my arms and place her in my car. I have never been so scared in my life.
