Chapter 19. Swag

Ace grabbed me around the waist and pulled me back against his chest. I looked up at him and smiled.

“We’ll figure it out,” he said. “Whoever is doing this isn’t going to get away with it.”

“They almost did, Ace,” I said and sighed. I turned around and wrapped my arms around his waist. “I wish things would just go back to normal. Lately, it feels like the entire world is coming down on me.”

“I can see how you would feel like that, bebita, but I’m here now.” Ace rubbed my back gently. “I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”

A small smile spread across my lips. Ace lowered his lips to mine. The kiss was gentle at first, but it built. It built into the kind of kiss that made my stomach burst into flames.

“Do bad things to me,” I mumbled.

Ace sunk his teeth into my neck and groaned. He lifted me and carried me to the bed.

My fingers tangled into his hair. His lips trailed down my neck as he moved his hips against mine. I prayed we didn’t get interrupted this time. I couldn’t wait for this anymore.

“Ace,” I moaned. I arched my back.

His hand slid up my thigh. His gaze met mine. There was something in his eyes I hadn’t seen in so long. “I love you,” he breathed.

Ace’s words caught me off guard. I hadn’t heard him say those three words in ages. I didn’t expect to hear it anytime soon. My heart skipped a beat. “W-what?” I choked. I waited for him to say he’s kidding, but he didn’t. “Ace,” I started. Doubt colored my tone. A part of me thought maybe he just said it because he felt he had to.

“I mean it. I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t. Memory or not, I do love you. I don’t think I love you the same way I did before I lost my memory, but it doesn’t make it any less true. I fell back in love with you because of you. Everything you are, who you are. You amaze me,” he said softly.

Tears built in my eyes. “I love you,” I said breathlessly. It reminded me of the first time he said it. The first time he said it, it changed my life. Even now, after being with him for years, to hear him say that even though he didn’t remember our life together changed me all over again. This time, I knew I had him back. I won him over, the same way he had won me over when I had amnesia.

What I felt for him was even more intense than it was back then. Ace flipped us. I straddled him. He sat up, and his hand trailed up my spine. The sound of my lingerie tearing made me laugh.

In no time at all, there was nothing left on us because we had no more patience. The intensity that built in my stomach could only be put there by Ace. Our eyes met before I lowered myself down on his hard cock. A loud moan escaped both of us.

Ace dug his nails into my hips as he helped me move faster. “Fuck, you feel so good,” he hissed.

Our hips move in sync. Ace took one of my breasts into his mouth and massaged my nipple with his tongue.

“Harder,” I begged.

Once again, he flipped me. As he pounded in and out of me, I thrashed against him and dug my fingernails into his chest.

“Stay still,” he growled playfully.

A giggle started to escape me, but I stopped off in a moan. I reached over to the drawer and dangled a pair of handcuffs in his face.

He stopped, and his lips parted. “For real? You have handcuffs?” he asked breathlessly.

“You bought them,” I said and smirked.

“I understand why,” he said as he cuffed me to the bed.

Ace bought handcuffs a long time ago. He used to tell me I’m too squirmy, which he wasn’t wrong. It didn’t stop me from moving my lower half, though. I wasn’t going to argue, regardless. I liked the cuffs as much as he did. He slammed back into me and smashed his lips to mine. I bit down on his lip hard, and he groaned loudly.

“So fucking naughty,” he murmured.

“Punish me, papi,” I said and smiled playfully.

A devious expression formed on his face. Ace took off the cuffs, spun me around, so I was on my stomach. His hard cock filled me once again.

A loud moan escaped me.

He bit down on my neck as he continued to pound into me. He brought his lips to my ear. “You like it rough?”

“Yes!” I screamed.

Ace slapped me on the ass and groaned. It was all I could take. I couldn’t hold back. I loved how he was so naturally himself. I loved that he said he loved me. That he was still the same playful, merciless, and loving man in bed.

The orgasm rocked through me. I screamed into the pillow as I released. Ace groaned as he released with me. We stayed still for an immeasurable moment.

“Damn,” he huffed. “I shouldn’t have bit you so hard. I left teeth marks.”

“I like it rough,” I said and winked.

Ace laughed. “Me too, bebita.”

“Mm, yeah, I know,” I said.

“I didn’t. . .” he trailed off. “I don’t ever remember having sex.”

“Oh. Right,” I said and chuckled.

“But I like it,” he said and smirked.

I threw my head back and laughed.

We laid silent for a long time. It was too early for bed, but I was too tired to want to do any work. The kids were already in bed.

Ace threw the blanket off him.

“Where are you going?” I asked.

“The study. I’ll be back up later.” Ace kissed me on the head before he left the room. I buried my face into the pillow and sighed contently. My eyes got heavy, and I soon drifted off to sleep.

“Can I have a few friends over?” Angel asked. Angel’s voice came out with such innocence that Ace and I turned to stare at him simultaneously with disbelief in our eyes.

“Boy, aren’t you a bit young to have parties?” Ace accused, and I laughed.

“Damn, for real? Why do you got to ruin my swag, Dad?” Angel huffed. Angel’s reaction had me laughing even harder.

“What the fuck is a swag?” Ace threw his head back and laughed.

“It’s a new slang term, babe. You’re getting old,” I said and giggled. “Angel, no parties. One weekend I finally decide you’re old enough to stay home, and you are already fucking it up.”

“Okay, first of all, if I were going to have a party, I’d just do it. I would not ask if I could have friends over,” Angel said and rolled his eyes.

“We’ll keep that in mind,” Ace said.

“So?” Angel pressed.

“Yes, a few friends, that is it,” I hissed.

“Sweet, thanks,” Angel said. He smiled and dashed toward the stairs.

“And you stay the fuck out of my study, or I’m going to open a can of whoop-ass!” I yelled after Angel.

Angel’s laughter echoed in the foyer before he disappeared upstairs.

“Swag? What the fuck?” Ace repeated and laughed under his breath. He shook his head.

I giggled. “You’ll get used to it, babe.”

“I doubt that,” Ace said and rolled his eyes. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”

“Angel will be fine. The other kids will be with your mom. We might even be back as early as Sunday morning. This hotel has got to get done,” I muttered.

Ace and I had to go to San Diego to put up a hotel. It wasn’t that long of a drive.

Angel didn’t want to stay with Ace’s mom. He said he was tired of leaving home every time we left, and Rosa wasn’t around. Rosa usually was around, but we gave her and Andersen the weekend off.

The hotel we were going to just got finished. However, I had to be there for the grand opening like I did most of them. It helped with the image and paperwork. It was one of the largest ones I had built. It had twenty-four floors and about two thousand and six hundred rooms. It had a massive pool in the back. The patio was really something.

The hotel had three apartments available on the top floor. Ace and I were staying in one of them. I was pretty excited to see how it turned out. It had two restaurants and two clubs on the lower level. It also had a clothing store, which was our own clothing line.

“You’re quiet,” Ace said.

“I’m just really stoked about this hotel. I think it’s going to be amazing. I haven’t seen it since they finished it,” I explained.

“How big is it again?” he asked.

“Twenty-four floors over two thousand rooms and three apartments,” I explained.

“Fancy,” he said and chuckled.

I smiled at that and nodded. “I can’t wait to see the one in Vegas too. That one is going to be done next month,” I said. “I hate having to be gone so often, though. I always miss the kids. Aiden is so little, yet. I feel like I’m not around him enough,” I confided.

Ace grabbed my hand. He kissed the back of it and intertwined our fingers. His gaze met mine. “You try hard, bebita. That is all that matters. The kids all adore you,” he said. I gave him a small smile and looked out the window.

We finally reached the hotel. There was nobody here but the staff. The opening wasn’t until tomorrow.

Once inside the hotel, the manager I hired approached us. “Aria,” Theresa said and smiled warmly. “What do you think?”

We stood in the lobby with a large fountain in the center. “Hey, Theresa. It is absolutely stunning,” I said.

“I’d fucking say,” Ace said in awe as he stared around. “No wonder you were so excited, bebita. This place is fucking massive. How much did this shit cost anyway?”

The woman stared at Ace in confusion. Usually, when I came into the businesses, I was ladylike and didn’t use bad or improper language.

Theresa’s lips parted in shock at his offensive language. If Ace had his memory, he wouldn’t talk that way in front of the lady. We were usually just as good at being rich business people as we were Latin Kings.

Ace gave me a questioning look when I cleared my throat. “Language, babe,” I murmured.

“Oh, fuck. I’m sorry,” Ace said and shrugged. He gave me an innocent expression.

“You’ll have to excuse my husband. He hasn’t been to one of these in a long time,” I told Theresa.

“No problem,” she said and chuckled. “Anyway, here is the key to the apartment. Everything is open for you guys. We’ll be here all night. You’re welcome to go anywhere in the hotel. Let us know if you need anything. The night manager tonight is Kinsley.”

“Thanks so much,” I said and smiled. I pulled on Ace’s arm harder than necessary.

Ace laughed at my impatience.

We walked around for hours and checked everything out. I wanted to make sure nothing was out of place for tomorrow. The entire hotel was booked twelve months in advance. It would be completely full as of tomorrow.

We finally decided to go see our own room. We opened the door.

I gasped in shock. “It’s gorgeous.”

“Holy shit, it’s got a balcony,” Ace said and chuckled. The living room was wide open with a fireplace. There was also a dining room table that could seat eight people and a large kitchen with a kitchen island to sit four more people.

“Babe being poor was my thing. You shouldn’t be so amused,” I said and giggled.

“What do you mean?” he asked and arched a brow.

“You grew up in money. You always had money. I didn’t. My mom and Jim lived in a small four-bedroom house. AJ’s bedroom was practically a closet. I don’t think you could hardly consider it a room,” I said thoughtfully.

“You grew up poor?”

“Yep,” I said. I walked past him. That was another thing I hadn’t told Ace. He knew about the Jim and Carlos situation, though.

“That explains it,” Ace said and laughed.

“Explains what” I opened the fridge, which was fully stocked.

“Why you treat everyone with equality. You treat Andersen and Rosa as if you’re no better than they are,” he said. He stepped toward me with a strange look in his eyes.

“They’re family, and I’m not better than them. I’m no better than anyone else,” I said.

“I admire that about you,” he said. Admiration clouded his eyes. He leaned forward and kissed me.

We decided to leave our bags in the room and went down to the restaurant. I was starving.

The waiter approached us and asked us what we would like.

After we ordered our food, I let Ace know I needed to use the restroom. There was a small restroom not far from the kitchen. Once inside, I heard a strange noise. It wasn’t a sound I was unfamiliar with. Oh god, no!
