Chapter 15

We had a dinner party with a few colleagues the next day. It was in a local restaurant, and I decided to avoid Eugene entirely by staying with Sarah, Hannah, and Iris. We had a good time in there, but after a while, because I had a lot of cocktails, I went to the restroom to relieve myself. The Restaurant had a gender neutral restroom, which I had never been in before.

Eugene was standing in front of me as I exited the restroom. I was stunned as he quickly pushed me back in while covering my mouth with his hand.

“Shhhhh.” he whispered.

“Good work today, Eleanor.” he spoke into my ear. ’Am i drunk? for a second there, I saw a starving beast.′

“Uh, thanks? I guess” I whispered back. He then slipped his hand under my skirt.

“Uh uh, not right now.” “Don’t be reckless,” I said quietly. And his hands landed on my wet opening. He kissed my neck while rubbing me down there.

“No, no. We have to go back there. What if someone hears us?”

“They won’t. Just keep it down okay?” he slid his middle inside me, increasing the pace of his thrust. Again and again. He then removed his finger. And then slid in 2 while circling my clitoris. The combination of the two was too much for me to handle all at once.

“They will be suspicious of us, Gene.” Instead he started placing kisses on my neck slowly making his way to my lips. But then,

“Eleanor?” Iris called out. And I looked at Eugene to stop. But he didn’t.

“Yes?... Iris?” I called out to her.

“Are you okay? You’ve been here for quite some time.” she inquired, and he began kissing my neck at the same time.

“Oh nothing, uh, I’ll be out there in 2 minutes?”

“You sure?” she asked again.

“Ye... yess.” I muttered as he increased his pace even more,

“Okay.” she said as she walked away. That’s it, I can’t help myself, I’m going to come. Eugene could read me like an open book, so when I looked at him, he drew me in for a kiss, and I moaned into his mouth.

I rested my head on his shoulder, as he removed his hand from underneath.

I pushed him away. He tried to reach out to me, but I was done. “Do not touch me.” I said sternly, straightening my dress and walking away.

I walked out, and Hannah approached me, saying, “Where were you? We were just discussing about you and Eugene.” and she laughed. And I returned the smile.

“Are you all right?” She inquired, concerned.

“Uh, yeah.”

“Did anything happen?”

“I’m not feeling well. I was feeling kinda dizzy. I think I’ll go home now.” I informed her.

“Oh no. Are you still feeling that way? Want me to take you home?” Hannah asked with concern, but I declined and reassured that I’m doing fine now-

“Are you really okay?” Axel pulled me to the side and asked me, diverting us from the group.

“Yes.. I just wanna go home.” My voice cracked like I was gonna cry,

“Should I give you a ride or call Eugene back?” Axel asked, “He said he’ll leave after you get back from the restroom.” Yeah, but he came in and did that to me. What if any one of our coworkers saw us together?

“I’ll take her home. Don’t worry.”

“What did you do?” Axel asked him as he stood between me and Eugene, and I just looked down at my feet.

“I’m taking her home.”

“Eleanor, do you want him to take you home?”

“I have no problem.”

“See?” Eugene swayed me from side to side with his hand on my shoulder. As we walked away, he picked up my handbag while I wore my overcoat and said goodnight to them. As we got away from the restaurant and into his car, I grabbed my handbag from his grasp and smacked him across the chest with it.

“How could you?”And tears flowing down. “You horny jerk. Why did you do it when I said I didn’t want to?”

“I’m so sorry, Nell. I uh.. got tempted.”

“We could have just gone home then.” “What if we were overheard? Or worse, someone sees us like that together?” and I buried my face into my hands. “I had no problem with you finger-fucking me in a bathroom stall if we were alone on a date, but not on a company dinner. And why are you there at the dinner, no CEO comes for gatherings like these.”

“Nell, I’m so sorry.”

“Let’s just go home,” I said, turning away from him and looking out the window. I’ll give him a piece of my mind when we get home.

When we entered my house, I clenched my fist and just kept hitting his chest. (it wouldn't hurt him, playful hits but filled with anger)

“Yes, hit me as much as you please,” and I continued to hit him harder and harder. “Sorry.”

“Don’t apologize you pervert. If you want to apologize wait until after I’m done expressing my anger towards you. You bastard!”

“I’m sorry, but when I thought the day was finally coming to an end, I couldn’t help but become overly greedy.”

“I’m going to bed, and you’re not going to sleep with me in the bedroom today.” “You’ve earned that couch. And don’t stay up all night watching Netflix.” I informed him as I walked away and closed the bedroom door behind me. But he said he’d go home and get some rest because he had to be in the office by 9 a.m.

I decided to take a half-day the next day and arrived at 11 a.m.
I planned to make some coffee and then return to my desk to finish my work. Hannah came over to ask how I was doing while I was making coffee. And I told her I’d just gotten worked up. When I saw Eugene entering the room, I walked away to the cooler to get a water bottle.

“Is she actually okay?” Hannah asked Eugene.

“She’s a lot better than she was last night.”

“Did you guys spend the night together?” She asked him, and I threw a bottle at him, which he perfectly caught.

“Huh? A water bottle just flew through the air.” he joked.

“We weren’t together together, he dropped me off near my apartment. Why don’t you use proper words, Mr. Langston?” When I asked him and they both laughed at me.

“Eleanor, You feeling better?” he asked smiling at me.

“I’m doing well. How are you doing today?” As Eugene approached me, I asked him to return the bottle I had thrown at him.

“Ahh yes, I’m doing quite alright.” he said casually. I grabbed the newspaper on the counter and rolled it.

“No, there’s something wrong with your head.” and I smacked him on the shoulder with the newspaper. “You insane jerk,” I mumbled under my breath. I walked away as I picked up my coffee and water bottle, “I’ll have today’s schedule ready in 15 minutes,” and he followed me out. I didn’t realize Hannah, Dorothy, and Evan (from the accounting department) were staring at us as we argued until we left the break room.

“They’re just getting closer and closer, aren’t they?” Evan added his two cents.

“Huh closer? No no, Eleanor is just having a rough time with him. She gets worked up and easily annoyed.” Dorothy also chimed in. “But I must thank her, she got me off the hook with Eugene.”
They just stood there staring at us while we were still arguing, even as we walked towards his office.

Sarah entered the office while we were now arguing about the arrangement of sticky notes on my desk.

“Eleanor, Eugene, sorry to interrupt your fun.” she smiled awkwardly.

“This. Is. Not fun. At all.” I made myself clear.

“Sarah, what is it?” Eugene immediately became professional changing the atmosphere in the room.

“Someone I know from Sunday magazine wants to interview and photoshoot of you, Mr. Langston. Regarding the youngest successful businessman, and how did you uphold your father’s legacy."

“Of course, yes. Request that they email Eleanor about the interview, photoshoot, venue, and timings.” he said to Sarah, and she thanked him.

“Interviews are essential, right?” and he agreed with a nod. “I’ll send you everything you need to know about it. Should I request a script of the questions they’ll ask?”

“No, I am capable of handling interview questions.”

“All right.” I said it with a single nod. “Anything else?”

“200 dollars for a kiss on my lips?” he asks unexpectedly, and I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Fuck off!”
