Chapter 5

1 month later….

“Alli wake up,” Macy yelled banging on my door like a maniac. “Today is your big day, get up already before your late to your own wedding.” She laughed pulling the blanket off of me.

“I’ve got to head to the airport and pick up our parents their flight will be here in an hour. Do not go back to sleep,” she growled at me.

“Fine, but I’m not happy about it, I need my sleep.” I whined, getting no sympathy from her. Pack members had been showing up a few at a time since yesterday. Our pack all wanted to witness the wedding of the alpha’s daughter to the beta’s son. Needless to say the house was currently past full capacity but thankfully not for long. As the guests arrived they all stopped by my house before heading to the hotel that my wedding was being held in. My dad being the genius that he is rented plenty of rooms for everyone.

“Look at you?” My mom said walking into my room. “You look beautiful Ali.” She said a tear rolling down her cheek. “I can’t believe my baby is getting married,” she said pulling me into a hug. “May your life with Nick be a happy loving one.” She said letting me go.

“Thank You mom,” I replied trying not to cry.

“You have you a good one Alli. Always cherish and value each other and your marriage will be long.” She said placing my veil on my head.

I was happy that she was here, I missed my parents. I missed the long talks with my dad and my mom’s great advice. I knew that she would always be honest even if I didn’t like what she had to say or agreed with her. She always stood her ground and to this day she had never steered me wrong.

My stomach was in knots and my hands were starting to feel damp I was so nervous when the wedding march started my heart was beating a million miles a minute. I felt like I was about to pass out.

“Are you ready sweetheart?” My dad said extending his arm to me.

“As ready as I’m going to be.” I said laughing nervously.

”I love you Ali and I just want you know how incredibly proud of you I am. I know these past months have not been easy with you being forced to be here. None the less you have handled it with grace. I’m thankful that you will be marrying such an honorable man. You choose well baby girl."He said proudly.

“Thank you daddy, you’re going to make me cry” I said desperately trying to not blink my tears out.” It’s time,” someone said behind us.

As I started down the aisle I looked up to see a smiling Nick. He looked so handsome. I will never be able to understand how his mate could have rejected him. Her loss would be my gain. He was my mate as far as I was concerned. The thought of him being with someone else caused a low growl to escape my lips.

“You okay honey?” My dad said looking worried.

“I’m fine”. I whispered. When we finally made it to the front of the church Nick extended his hand to me.

“Who gives this woman to this man?” The pastor asked.

“Her mother and I,” My dad said before sitting down.

Wolves don’t usually go through a whole wedding process once you mark a mate in the eyes of every wolf we are considered married. I had always dreamed of a human wedding.; in a church with our pack and closest friends. I wanted the beautiful dress with a long train and gorgeous veil. Nick made sure I had everything I wanted. I loved Nick and he had healed my shattered heart. We had healed each other.

“I promise to love you and cherish you all the days of my life. If you’re weak I will carry you. When you feel pain I will comfort you. I will hold your hand and walk beside you all the days of our life. You will never be alone even when we are apart. Know that you carry my heart with you always. You are a gift from God and I will make sure that you know every minute of every day how much I love you. You are my mate the other part of my soul. I choose you Alli, to be my wife, my mate, and the mother of my children” Nick said making me cry.

“I promise to love you and always encourage you in all you do. I will push you when I need too, and give you space when you need it. You have been the light in my darkness. The shoulder that I cry on. I will hold you when you’re hurt and stand beside you all the days of my life. I promise to kiss you every morning and tell you I love you every night. You are my heart the one I choose to be my husband, mate, and father of my children. You’re the keeper of my heart and the man I want to grow old with. I will love you always.” I said tears streaming down my face.

“With the power vested in me by the state of Florida I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.” The pastor said with a huge grin on his face.

Nick pulled me into his arms and kissed me passionately. All of our guests cheered and clapped happily.

The reception was decorated just how I had requested. All the table’s had vases filled with beautiful purple and white roses. A big portrait of Nick and I was at the front of the room with a guest book for well wishes. Our cake had 6 tiers one in chocolate, strawberry, carrot cake, vanilla, red velvet and Key lime. I of course wanted a piece of each one.

“How does it feel to be married?” Macy said coming to stand next to me.

“Amazing, I’m so happy Macy.” I said looking up at her teary eyed.

“No crying you’re going to mess up your face.” She said playfully. “I’m happy for you Alli, you deserve to be happy. “She said wiping a tear from her face.

Nick rented a beautiful honeymoon suite with a beautiful view of the ocean. We walked down to the beach and just enjoyed each other’s company.

“I can’t believe that your finally my wife,” Nick said pulling me close.

“Well believe it, you’re looking at Mrs. Nick Anderson.” I shot back with a grin.

We walked hand in hand back to the hotel and I had to admit that I was very nervous about our wedding night. I had made the choice early on that I would wait to gift my virginity to my mate. Nick had never pressured me to give more than I was ready to give. He respected my choice and I felt no pressure from him.

The hotel had thrown rose petals all over the bed and lit candles all over the room while we were out. I had to admit that it was very romantic. Coming out of the bathroom that night knowing what was about to happen had me smiling. I was ready and I knew that regardless of my inexperience Nick was going to make this night special.

My first time had been such a special moment for me. He made sure that he was gentle taking the time to really take care of me. I was glad that I had waited.
