I groaned, rolling over in bed. I yawned and fluttered my eyes open. I screwed my eyes shut and groaned... The light was too bright. I’m still so tired. I feel like I haven’t slept at all.
I felt Alarix stir beside me. I opened one eye and stared at him. He gave me a drowsy smile; that travelled straight to my core.
“Are you ok?” He whispered, chuckling.
I opened both my eyes fully and gave him a half-smile. “Are you ok?” I urged apprehensively.
He nodded, then rested his head on the pillow. “I’m sorry for how I acted last night,” he murmured. I smiled, reaching forward. I gave him a chaste kiss on his cheek before moving down the bed, resting my head against his chest.
“Did it help last night, or do you need more?” I questioned.
“Lila.” He stated as he scooted down the bed until he was lying face to face with me. “I’m good now, I promise. I will tell you next time.” He declared, moving my hair away from my face.
“Good,” I smiled and yawned again.
“You know, I don’t think I’ve ever tasted something so amazing.” He groaned. “I’ve also never been turned on whilst feeding, let alone nearly cum.” He muttered, hiding his face in my hair.
I grinned and pushed my fingers through his hair. I love that he felt exactly the same as me. “Don’t be embarrassed...” I reassured, circling my fingers in his hair.
"When you were feeding, it made me feel things I never have before. The feeling was so intense and pleasurable, I either did cum, or nearly."
I pulled back to watch his reaction. His eyes went wide, and his breath caught in his throat. “Is that the mindlink you were talking about?” He choked.
I nodded, smiling shyly at him. “Try it... Focus on me and my wolf side,” I instructed. I can’t wait to hear his voice in my head. I can’t wait to be consumed completely by him.
"When we make love, if you let me, I’ll feed on you. Apparently, it heightens all senses, and yours are pretty impressive as is, so imagine how it will feel. I can..."
My breath seized in my throat. Thousands of thoughts were racing through my mind. All kinds of images; Alarix and I in comprising positions. My stomach bubbled with anticipation. My core was pulsating with need. We’re bonded together; it’s only a matter of time before we have to complete the bond between us... The bond will push for it.
A husky moan escaped before I could stop it. I coughed, attempting to cover it, but the way his eyes hooded with lust and his pupils dilated, he definitely heard it. I draped my arm over my face and closed my eyes.
“You’re still tired... I can feel it. It’s weird.” He chuckled huskily. “Get some more sleep. I’ll stay here with you.” He whispered, planting a small kiss on my arm.
I lifted my arm and smiled lazily at him. I leaned forward, placing an open mouth kiss against his chest just above his heart before laying in his arms.
“Sleep, beautiful.” He whispered, circling his fingers along my back.
I smiled to myself, struggling to keep my eyes open. I felt content being in his arms... You don’ realise what you’ve been missing when you don’t have your mate. I quickly felt sleep taking over as I listened to his breathing, harmonising my own to his.
I fluttered my eyes open and groaned as the sun blared down on me from the window. I stretched my arm out for Alarix but bolted upright and scanned my eyes around when I couldn’t feel him. The bed was cold beside me. He hadn’t been here for a while. I sighed and dropped backwards. I feel like a lovesick pup... All I want is to be near him all the time.
"I’m in the kitchen, Lila." I beamed to myself as Alarix’s voice appeared in my mind. Even his voice is godlike. Hearing his voice in my head is far more enjoyable than I expected... I could listen to him all the time and never get bored.
I hopped out of bed and hurried to the door. ”Getting the hang of using the mindlink, I see." I chuckled as I pulled open the door.
I made my way along the hallway as the smell of pancakes and coffee floated up the staircase. ”Stay in bed, Lila." He warned playfully. I snickered to myself as I continued downstairs.
"No can do... I smell coffee." I bubbled as I barrelled down the stairs.
I briskly shuffled to the kitchen door; I paused in the doorway. He set a mountain of piled pancakes on the table along with some freshly cut strawberries. I grinned and leaned against the door frame.
“What’s all this?” I asked, waving my hand in front of me.
He smirked at me before putting the pan down. “I was going to bring you breakfast in bed, but you obviously don’t do as you’re told.” He scolded playfully.
I shook my head, giggling. I moved further into the kitchen, rounding the table and stopping in front of him. I leaned up on my tiptoes and brushed my lips against his. “Thank you. This is amazing.” I breathed.
He smiled down at me lovingly. “I like your hair down,” he murmured, running his fingers through my hair. He planted a little kiss on the end of my nose before stepping back and grabbing a mug from the counter.
“Ahh, coffee!” I moaned, taking the mug from him.
He chuckled, pulling the chair out from the table. I took a seat as he went around to the other side.
“How long have you been awake?” I asked after taking a sip of coffee.
“Um, hours.” He chucked. “I didn’t go back to sleep.” He added as he took a few pancakes.
“You didn’t have to leave me to sleep. I’m usually up real early, but the last few days have been hectic.” I sighed. “You’re going to be with my brother for most of this day; I wanted to spend the morning together.” I groaned.
He chuckled, shaking his head. “We have forever,” he beamed at me. My heart sunk at his statement. Oh, how I wish that were true. I quickly pushed my emotions aside and shovelled a fork full of pancakes into my mouth.
“Plus, it’s currently eleven, and we were supposed to be the packhouse like hours ago...” He trailed off, winking at me. I choked, spluttering bits of pancake everywhere. I clapped my hand over my mouth while I coughed violently.
“Oh shit! Fuck, my dad is going to kill me.” I shrieked.
“Language, Lila.” He scoffed.
I raised my brow and snickered. “You have such a filthy mouth.” He shook his head, chuckling.
“Well, I and my filthy mouth are going to get ready.” I beamed. “Leave this. I’ll clean later.” I mentioned, gesturing my hands over the table as I stood up.
“Go wash your mouth.” He sniggered.
“You might regret saying that... My mouth can do a lot of things.” I sassed before sauntering out of the kitchen.
I laughed as I heard a sharp intake of breath and something clatter on the floor.
“Are you ok?” I shouted as I paused at the bottom of the stairs.
“Yes.” He hissed.
“Good. I won’t be long,” I giggled before running up the stairs.
