|cross my heart and hope to die|
“Ok... you’re done.” The doctor smiled as he pulled the needle from my arm. “I’ll have the results in ten minutes. Sit tight.” He smiled before walking out of the infirmary.
Once I had told Levi everything, I wanted to make sure there was no Matebane in our bodies. I know from the stories I’ve heard that it can stay in your system for a few weeks. I don’t know what it would do to our bodies if it’s flushed through us constantly.
“I can’t believe we’re doing this,” Levi grumbled beside me.
I pulled my jacket on before twisting my body to face him. He was glaring at the floor, taking deep breaths. “Levi, I need to know,” I whined.
He huffed, shaking his head. “If it still in our system... what do we do then?” He shuddered.
“Find something to counter it, get it flushed out of us... I don’t know.” I sighed. “I didn’t think that far.”
He dragged in a jittery breath as he pulled on the stitching on his jeans. I jumped off the bed we were sitting on and went closer to him. I nudged his legs apart with my knees so I could stand between them. I lifted his chin with my finger. When his eyes met mine, I sighed. He looked worried.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, darting my eyes between his. He was anxious; I could feel it through our bond.
He placed his hands on my chest and exhaled shakily. I tilted my head slightly, waiting for him to speak. A small whimper escaped as he looked away from me.
I set both hands on his face and turned him towards me as I captured his lips before he could say anything. I peppered little kisses on his mouth and jaw before giving him one last kiss before pulling away.
“I know something is wrong. You can tell me, baby.” I whispered.
“If we have Matebane... What if... What if our bond fades? What if you don’t want me anymore when the Matebane is gone?” He whimpered, looking away, avoiding eye contact.
I jerked his head back to me and shook my head. “You see this mark?” I questioned, pulling my shirt and jacket away from my neck. “Matebane didn’t do this... Matebane didn’t make me survive this... you did.” I blustered, pointing my finger at his chest.
He pulled his bottom lip between his teeth as he stared at my neck. “You wanted me before any bond made itself known,” I smirked. “If we do have Matebane in us... It isn’t going to make any difference to our bond.” I declared.
He reached his hand up, tracing his finger along my mark as he parted his lips with a little gasp. “That is true,” he whispered as I sucked in a sharp breath as pleasure bolted down my spine. I moaned quietly, thrusting my hips forward.
He curled his hand around the back of my neck and pulled my face to his as our lips collided in a feverish kiss. I moaned, tangling my fingers through his hair as he scooted to the edge of the bed, widening his legs, making him push up against my body.
“Elias, I...” He moaned, grinding his cock against mine. I could feel how hard he was against me, and I hated that we weren’t in our room. My cock twitched as he ran his hand down my back and cupped my ass, forcing me against him harder.
“I know, baby.” I moaned. “I love you, and I want you too, but not here.” I groaned, pulling away.
He let out a guttural growl as he crossed his legs behind me, caging me in. “It’s not exactly private here.” I raised my brow, smirking at him.
He snaked his hand between us. He started palming me over my jeans, rubbing himself and me at the same time. My breath caught in my throat as my cock hardened while he moaned sensually against my neck.
“We still have some time... walk with me.” He whispered in my ear.
“Outside, Levi? Really?” I chuckled breathlessly.
“You could bend me over... I could push you against a tree and fuck you that way...” He leaned up, wrapped both arms around me and sucked against my neck. “I could kneel in-”
I cut him off with a groan, grinding myself against him as he matched my movements, his cock rubbing against me, giving us the perfect friction.
“Outside isn’t safe. After the results, I promise, I’ll give you what you want.” I panted before staggering backwards, putting some distance between us so I could get control of my raging hormones.
“You promise?” He grinned.
I nodded, forming an invisible cross across my heart with my finger, “cross my heart and hope to die.”
He snickered, shaking his head. “Looking forward to it already. Come here.” He chuckled.
I shook my head, holding my hand up in front of me. He raised his brow at me, “if I come over there, I’m not going to be able to control myself, and neither are you. So I’ll stay right here.” I stated, folding my arms across my chest.
“Don’t be a baby. Stand in front of me, facing the other way... Come on, Elias.” He whined.
I rolled my eyes but moved closer. He grabbed my shoulder and turned me around before pulling my back against him, so I was standing between his legs, facing the door.
Been a little smaller than him works perfectly in these situations. His body is moulded for mine; he was made for me as I for him. I’m more determined than ever to make sure I do everything I can, so he never questions me being his mate. Or what life could have been like... without me.
I leaned my head back again on his shoulder, sighing in content at the closeness of us. “How are you feeling, Alpha?” I asked.
“Alpha?” He questioned with a chuckle.
“Well, you are going to be an alpha, aren’t you?” I smirked, peering at him from the corner of my eye.
He beamed at me, nodding. “I love you,” he expressed, burying his face into my neck and hugging me tightly.
“Always and forever, Alpha,” I whispered, lifting his hand to my face and brushing my lips against his knuckles.
There was a little tap on the door, my head snapped forward as it opened, and the doctor appeared in the doorway with a big smile on his face.
“Results are in.” He chirped.
The results are definitely what we were hoping for. There is absolutely no way he would have sauntered in here with a spring in his step if he had bad news.
“There isn’t a trace of any substance.” He mentioned as he read the results from the paper in his hand.
I breathed out in relief and sagged against Levi as he wrapped his arms around me. “Thank you, Doc.” Levi sighed.
“I assume you’re feeling better, Elias?” The doctor asked, looking at me.
I nodded, “I am, thank you.”
He nodded his head once before smiling and leaving the room again. I turned around to face Levi.
“Come on. I want a shower.” I tugged on his shirt, pulling him as I stepped backwards.
“Am I allowed to join?” He smirked.
“I hoped you would,” I winked as I turned, keeping hold of Levi’s hand and opened the door with my free hand.
“Boys, are you busy right now?” Ayla asked as we stepped into the hallway.
“Got to go, mum. It’s urgent.” Levi quipped as he pulled me along the hallway.
I cringed, shaking my head. I glanced back at her and smiled apologetically at her. Her eyebrows were furrowed together before realization lit her face, and her nose screwed up as she shook her head.
As soon as we were in our room, Levi was on me. Pulling at my clothes, leading me to the bathroom. He stumbled into the door, attempting to open it while his mouth was still on mine, and one hand fumbled with my jeans.
