As soon as my mother left, offended and unsettled, Eros shut the door behind her and turned around to face me.
"Sienna, instead of waiting until saturday, would you maybe, want to leave now?, I can have everything arranged since it's on such short notice.
Leave today?, I will have to think about his words carefully, I need to consider the possible impact my moving in with him, before marriage, right after the news of what happened to me just spread will have on the both of us.
Eros is the heir of a don, he is ruining his reputation every day just because of me, surely father is in charge here, but the effects are washing off on Eros.
By the time we're married he will most likely have already lost all the respect from his people, advisors, underbosses.
"Don't you think its best if we wait until the wedding...I just, don't want to be a burden, to both you and your family" I answer hesitantly as I absentmindedly fidget with my hands.
He stares at me for a while, studying me, as if he wants to know what is going on in my head.
He removes his hands from his pockets, letting out a huge sigh before heading towards me.
"Sienna" he says my name with an exhale as he places his two hands on my shoulders, slightly lowering his head to meet my level.
I reluctantly look up into his stormy eyes, curious for what he has to say.
"Sienna, I have no family" he states casually, "The only person I care about in this world is you, I don't have anyone's expectations to live up to apart from yours, I don't have anyone to fear for apart from you, anyone to live for, apart from you...people will talk but that's as far as they can go, what they say shouldn't be the foundation of our relationship, I don't want you to stay here any longer because even your own family is not safe for you, sure your father is here to protect you, but he can't always be by your side, and when he's not there the rest of them will eat you alive, they will terminate every bit of your humanity, and you won't even realise it until its too late and no, I'm not saying that you're not capable of fending for yourself, I'm just saying I'd rather you avoid all of the conflict they purposely try to stir up because it is not even mentally good for you."
I take in his words, knowing he is right, knowing that there isnt any valid excuse I can give to that.
"Please think about it carefully, I want you to be safe and not just physically." he pulls me in for a hug.
I hug him back, burying my face in the warmth of his shirt.
His hugs are always the best.
"Before I make anymore crazy decisions, Eros, I would like to ask a favour of you and my father" I pull away to look at him.
"Sure, what is it?"
I stare into his stormy eyes, picking my next words carefully.
"I want to 𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙 him, please don't deny me my request, mother says I shouldn't interfere but-"
"You don't need to explain yourself to me, come-" he gently grabs my hand, flashing me a small smile before tugging me towards the door.
I let him lead me, cluelessly as I try to keep up with his long strides.
He leads me down the stairs of the dungeons.
One of the few areas women were forbidden to step foot in.
I hesitantly follow him as he pulls me closer to him when he sees how crowded the dungeon is.
A mass of mob men surround the scene of my father seated in front of a tied, bloody, bruised and broken Trevor.
"River" Eros calls out, catching the attention of my father who seems to be so out of it.
He would usually stare ahead, seeming so out of this world, whenever he was deep in thought or raging.
My father's gaze falls on him almost annoyed, questioning why he is being disturbed but as soon as his eyes land on me, he stands to his feet.
"Sienna, what are you doing here?, go back to your room, this isn't a place for you to be at the moment" he states, his eyes darting around the crowd as the whispering begins to spark behind us.
"I want to punish him, father, it's only right if I do it" I state, stepping out of the clutches of Eros' warmth and into the cold piercing stare of everybody else.
I hear a man clear his throat behind me and I try to ignore him, focusing on my father who is as equally distracted as his eyes fall on the man standing behind me, his jaw tightening, I suddenly roll my eyes at the man who has now cleared his throat three times, begging for unnecessary attention and as much as I would like to ignore him, I turn around giving him the opportunity to state why my sudden appearance has his throat itching.
"Why don't you go ahead and tell us what your fûcking problem is?" I raise an unimpressed brow.
"I just suggest that you don't be absurd, little girl, it isn't your place to seek vengeance, now be a good girl and go back upstairs, let your father and fiancée get back your honour for you" he speaks up, his words holding a tone as nauseating as the grin on his face.
I pull myself together, on the verge of throwing up and return my attention to him.
"Sir and what makes you think that you have some kind of right to give your opinion on the matter, this does not concern you?"
He opens his mouth to say something but I catch Eros shooting him a glare as cold as ice, the darkness within his dark metallic orbs, daring him to continue.
The snobby old man must have gotten really scared because his eyes nervously dart around and he moves to the back corner of the room.
"This is exactly why you shouldn't be here" my father points at the man who walks away to greet some other people as if this is not a dungeon where a free r*pist is being interrogated.
"Why are all of them here anyway?" I ask, noticing that there is more people than usual, his dungeons were always subjected to a minimum of 3 people, the interrogator, the interrogated and the assistant.
"They are all here to determine his fate and agree on a punishment for him" my father states, "I suggested we kill the bastard but they won't let me since they believe that um..." he suddenly trails off looking uncomfortable.
"believe what?" I ask, curiously.
His eyes move between the two of us uncertain as he nervously rubs the back of his neck.
"That we don't have valid proof for whether it actually happened or not."
I take a step back, surprised.
"They think I'm lying?" I can almost laugh.
"Sienna...well you see-" my fathe tries to calm me down.
"I don't care what any of them have to say, this is my battle and I fight alone" I raise my voice, catching the attention of everyone around me.
"I do not need any validation or permission from any of you, I don't need to prove anything to you because this does not even involve literally anybody in this room apart ftom me..." I turn to face Trevor, lifting my hand to point at his scared frame, "and him"
This is between the two of us and trust me when I say this, none of you are going to stop me from getting my dignity back, nobody is going to stop me from doing what I have in mind"
The room falls into an eerie silence and everybody is staring at me with a slight bit of shame in their features.
That's right, they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to belittle my hardships.
"She has spoken...anybody who dares to interfere will leave this room with their head between their hands, and I will personally assist you in making that happen" Eros yells at the crowd as they take a few steps back to clear some room.
Oh Trevor, you are going to regret the day you were brought into this world.
I am going to ruin you.
I am going to 𝑏𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑘 you.
