It's happened to all of us, wrong numbers texting or calling. But what happens when you keep talking to them?--This is just a fun little mostly just dialogue story between two strangers--

Age Rating:

Opps, Wrong Number

Julia: hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'll b down in a few! Grabbing my ๐Ÿ‘  an ๐Ÿ‘›

Julia quickly searched around for her other shoe after sending the text. She had just met Tammy at her job today, they were going out for drinks, but of course Julia was running late because once again, Zeus decided to hide one of her shoes. Zeus is Julia's very spiteful golden retriever. She groaned as she heard the beep of a new text on her phone.

Tammy: Sorry, think u got the wrong number.

Julia: Soo this isn't Tammy ?

Tammy: No, sorry. Don't even know a Tammy...

Julia: I'm so sorry, thought u were this person I met @work. ๐Ÿ˜”

Tammy: No big deal. Have a goodnight out.

Julia: Zeus stole my other heel ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜’ so looks like I'm staying in.

Julia sighed and shook her head at herself. She had no idea why she sent that last message. She patted Zeus' head as she walked by and huffed as she flopped in her favorite chair. The person on the other end probably won't even message back. She sighed in frustration, why did she even care? Julia fixed the contact in her phone and almost jumped when her phone pinged with a new message.

Not Tammy: sounds like u have one spiteful God on ur hands.

Julia: ๐Ÿ˜† Guess u could say tht...Zeus is my ๐Ÿ•

Not Tammy: oh ur a dog person?

Julia: Uh, I dnt know about tht lol ๐Ÿ˜† I'm a Zeus person. He is the only dog I have ever owned, or liked. Lol

Not Tammy: I get tht. I have about 3 ๐Ÿ• 4 ๐Ÿˆ tht run around...uhm got 3 ๐Ÿ„ 1 ๐ŸŽ a couple of ๐Ÿ and ๐Ÿ– too.

Julia: haha very funny. No way u have tht many animals...

Julia was bolted out of the little text bubble she was in at the knock on her door. Zeus beat her to the door, barking eagerly at our visitor on the other side.

She checked the peep hole and saw a smiling Tammy.

Holding Zeus by the collar she swung the door open allowing Tammy entrance.

"Hey! When you didn't come down, thought I should just come up!" Tammy said as she waved a bottle of vodka in the air.

"I'm sorry. Zeus stole my shoe." Julia said as Zeus greeted Tammy with licks and tail wags. Tammy lovingly patted him.

"It's alright, it's safer for two beautiful single young ladies like us to drink at home anyway right?" Tammy giggled at she sat on Julia's couch and passed her the bottle.

"Zeus will protect us. I did try and text you, put in a wrong digit somehow somewhere though." Julia said taking the bottle to her freezer. She instantly remembered hearing her phone ping a reply from the stranger not too long ago.

Julia made them some drinks from the already chilled liquor she had before returning back to both Tammy and Zeus in the living room.

Trying to seem nonchalant Julia casually picked her phoned up and checked it. She tried not to frown since it wasn't a reply from the stranger, but instead an new email.

"Why do you look so down" Tammy asked her crinkling her brows before taking a sip of her drink. Julia was skeptical, she didn't know Tammy well at all. But if she wanted to make friends, had to start somewhere right?

"Nothing, just kind of was expecting a text." Julia admitted. She laughed a little at herself, she doesn't even know if this person is a girl or guy or young or old or her age or wat or their name. Suddenly a ping and she glances down and she heart thunders in her chest.

Not Tammy: actually I do...I own a ranch.

Julia: that sounds interesting, so ๐Ÿค” what's your name mr or ms ranch owner ?

"That them? Is it a boyfriend?" Tammy inquired.

Julia giggled and put her phone down since there was another pause in the messages.

"Actually it's pretty funny. I have no idea who they are. It's the number I accidentally texted instead of you." Julia admitted sheepishly. Her face was tinting a light red and she had no idea why maybe the alcohol.

"That's crazy and they are still talking too?" Tammy asked as she played with Zeus.

"Yeah, says they own a ranch and a shit ton of animals." Julia told her sipping on her drink. She fiddled with her phone.

"Oh, what of it's some sexy single rancher?" Tammy asked as she wiggled her brows at Julia who in turn laughed nervously.

"You're so crazy." Julia stood and made her way to the kitchen with Tammy in tow. Leaving her phone behind on purpose.

"I'm so serious though. You know how lucky you would be." Tammy made a swooning motion against the counter as the two giggled.

"I'm going to go get out of this dress, be out in a sec." Julia told her as Tammy made her way back to living room and Julia went to her room to change.

Returning she saw Tammy playing with Zeus.

"You're phone pinged a few minutes ago." Tammy said with a smirk.

Julia tried her best to contain herself but smiled when she saw it was from the stranger.

Not Tammy: I don't know your name either...saved under random right now. Lol ๐Ÿ˜†

Julia: I got tht topped. You are Not Tammy in my phone. Lol!

Not Tammy: well ur not wrong. I'm not Tammy.

Julia: so...who are you then?

Not Tammy: as of right now u know more about me than I do u...

Not Tammy: what if u try to stalk me...or worse steal my identity?

Julia: as if. My life is so glamorous, dnt need ur identity, have my own. Lol.

Not Tammy: well in tht case u go first...

Julia: ok, first names only then...

Not Tammy: first names...

Julia: I'm Julia.

Not Tammy: That is a beautiful name, Julia, I'm Connor.

Julia: Thank you Connor ๐Ÿ˜Š

Julia set her phone down with a new feeling of awkwardness inside her.

"What's the news?" Tammy asked, Zeus now on her lap. Julia shrugged as she programmed in Connor's name.

"His name is Connor." Julia said. After all that was all she knew about him.

"Is he single?" Tammy giggled as she finished her drink. Julia picked up her own and drank.

"I have no idea. He probably won't text anymore." Julia said tossing her phone on the table nonchalantly.

Tammy giggled and smirked mischievously before grabbing Julia's phone.

"Oh, honey he has to be single. Watch." Tammy smirked and Julia cringed, she knew her new friend was bold. She didn't want to know what she was asking Connor. Poor guy.

Julia(Tammy): so is there a Mrs Connor ? How old are u ?

Connor: lol. 29. And no. Hbu ?

Tammy giggled.

Julia got up and snatched her phone back before any real damage was done. She sighed and read over Connor's reply.

Julia: 25. And no, no mr Julia lol ๐Ÿ˜†

Connor: good ๐Ÿ‘ then it's ok if I text u in the morning then ?

Julia's heart thudded inside her chest. Can't be anything wrong with just texting right? Completely innocent. Julia took a deep breath. Not sure why she felt all these different conflicting emotions swirling inside her wildly.

Julia: of course ๐Ÿ˜€

Connor: sweet dreams then, I'm off to bed, ranchers gotta get up early.

Julia: sweet dreams.

Julia spent the rest of her night drinking and becoming fast best friends with Tammy before the two called it a night, Tammy passing out on the couch and Zeus following Julia to bed. Curling up in her knees as Julia fell asleep dreaming up Connor.
