Chapter 1

"Cel wake up" I heard someone calling me.
"Cel wake up. It 11:37. You only got 23 minutes before Layla gets here." That had me up faster then I should have because now my head hurts from hangover.
"I'm up." I inform my mother as I got out of my bed. Last night was fun. Me and Layla had a crazy talk that I don't even remember now. We both got so drunk our friends had to drop us both at our house.
I did my morning routine and got dressed in my black denim shorts and red off shoulder crop top. I put my hair up in a high pony tail.
I would say I'm naturally beauty gifted with my light brown eyes and brown long hair that get to my lower back. I work out every so often so got the figure too but not the hour glass figure, don't wanna be Kya- lie Jenner here.
I applied a nude lipstick and eyeliner and stepped into my black boots took my phone and my purse, made sure I took some cash as well as my credit card and made my way downstairs.
As I went into the living room I saw my father sitting on a sofa working on his laptop.
"Hey dad." I said "Didn't you had a meeting today?"
He looked at me and hesitated before speaking "Yes I had a meeting but it got cancelled." He gave me a once over and asked "Where are you going all dressed up?"
I chuckled and replied "You forgot didn't you? I'm going out shopping with Layla."
"Oh yeah I forgot. I'm forgetting lots of things nowadays."
"Yeah like paying your debts off." Mom said coming from the kitchen.
"What debts?" I asked.
My father gave my mother a warning look before she answered "Your dad here took some huge amount of money from some guy and hasn't payed him back yet."
"What do you mean huge amount? How much is that? Is there anything I can help you with? I can always cancle going on shopping and give you the money." I replied with worry.
"Oh no sweety, you don't have to. Your dad and I have already planned on how to pay it off. You go have fun." Mom replied with a forced small smile.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes sweety you go Layla will be here by now." Dad replied hurriedly.
I gave them both a look and went for the front door.
"Celeste!"
"Yeah mom."
"We both love you so much. Always remember that no matter what happens."
"Mom dad are you both sure you are ok? You both don't look so good right now."
"Yeah we are just fine. Just remember what mom told, we love you. Ok?" dad replied.
"Yeah ok. Now bye. And I love you both too." I replied with a small smile and left.
As I walked out the door I saw Layla pull over.
"You're late." I said as get into the passenger seat of her car.
"Yeah I didn't wanted to get out of bed my head was killing me with the hangover." She replied while driving.
"Something is not right. My parents are acting really weird. They said I love you to me and we never say it like that." I said.
"Like what?"
"Like it's normal. I mean of course we love each other but we don't say it when we are going out." I said. "There is something going on that they are not telling me."
"Hey" Layla said taking my hand in one of hers "I don't know what's going but you don't need to worry. Just know that whatever happens I'm here with you." She said looking over it me and then back at the road.
"Yeah" I said "Well ok let's talk about what we are going to buy. I'm so excited I heard they upgraded the mall."
"Yeah. Let's just go and then decide."
As we went through shops of clothes to shoes to food court, we got really tired it's 2:47 now and we gotta go home now.
We made our way to the parking lot. Just when I was about to get in the car a black Range Rover pulled up. Four men got out of the car and made their way to me and stood in front of me.
What is happening?
Another man got out and came to me.
"Miss Celeste D'Amelio I respectfully ask you to get in the car and come with us."
"Who are you? And how do you know who I'm?"
"Your father hasn't payed his debts to our boss and he agreed to sell you off to him instead of the money he took." He said "Now get in the car or we will have to force you to."
"What is going on?" Layla said coming beside me.
The man showed a look of annoyance and took a paper out from his suit jacket and gave it to me.
I took and read what was written on it and I felt my heart stop.
They sold me off to a Mafia leader?
How could they do this to me?
Was I just an object they can use to pay their debts all along?
I looked up at the man in shock when he ordered the other men to get me in the car.
I didnt even realised what was happening until I heard Layla's voice screaming for the men to leave me.
One of the men bashed Layla's head to side of her car and she passed out. I couldn't even get a single word out of my mouth still processing what my parents did.
The men pushed me in the car and I fell in seat and bashed my head hard on the other side door. And I my vision started to go blurry but before passing out I had just one thought in my mind.
I hate my parents.
