Chapter 2. One day and done

I actually couldnโ€™t believe this women. I know I slept the whole time getting here, but I seriously need another rest. Could she be anymore clueless.

โ€œARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND MOM!โ€ฆagh Itโ€™s literally about to be dark, itโ€™s better if I just unpack myself.โ€ I said sighing.

โ€œDeal or not, I still want you to head over to the dock. the sky is still somewhat blue, and plus, maybe if you meet them, it would leave us with a great reputation.โ€ My mother said with a straight face.

โ€œreputation? Mom this isnโ€™t school and I donโ€™t care about-โ€œ I stated before my mother cut me off.

โ€œnope nope nope, now. Just down to the neighborhood gate, then head onto the towns bus before it stops itโ€™s rides. the lighthouse is big, you should see it from a mile away!โ€ My mother said.

โ€œI donโ€™t even want to argue with you. your just so-โ€œ I exclaimed until I got cut off..again.

โ€œGREAT! You should definitely start walking..like right now. Bye bye, love you, have fun! MEET NEW PEOPLEโ€ my mom said with a bright smile.

My mother then turned my shoulders and then there I was, trying to catch a bus, in a new town, at 5:49 on a sunday. Imma be honest, even though I honestly didnโ€™t want to go, I was running towards the gated neighborhood entrance. I could see the neighbors stare at me, then look at the back of me to see what I could possibly be running from. It was pretty funny to see them look so clueless, but letโ€™s be honest, they look like hobos that just sleep in all day in their perfect home.

*BANG*

Fuck! Ouch, bro I just ran into the fucking gate. I was in a rush, so I ignored the big red bump on my head. Then I continued to run down the hill, I felt the wind hit my face..it was unpleasing. My hair was all over my face, and I saw myself try not to roll off the steep hill. I could feel my feet starting to become uncontrolled, and then there I was..trying not by to get hit the cars going up the hill. how embarrassing wth.

โ€œWATCH OUT WACKOโ€

โ€œMOVEE THE OTHER WAYโ€

*HONK HONK*

Niceee, all the inspirational words coming from the drivers going up the hill, trying not to hit the 5โ€™3 Thai girl that was just trying to catch a bus. AHUM โ€œsarcasmmโ€. I wonโ€™t lie, as I was slowing down, I saw two buses right there, door open and everything. And as a 14 year old, I DIDNโ€™T EVEN KNOW HOW BUSES WORKED! So I basically hopped into one as quick as I can, and just sat down. I could then see the bus start going. I looked around to see moms with their kids, dads with brief cases, and grandmas with grocery bags. typically bus trip. It was the same concept, my life was slowly starting to become a book. I hate books. No but really, theyโ€™re just an item that old people suggest to read when you say โ€œIโ€™m boredโ€. I would never want to lay my hand on a book, not even if itโ€™s about something Iโ€™m interested in.

Then it hit me. No literally, the lighthouse bright ass light, hit me right in the face. I realized the bus wasnโ€™t stopping here. What was I gonna do? sit here? NO. I got up quickly and shook off the bus driver.

โ€œSTOP THE BUS! STOP THE BUS! I GOTTA GET TO ASTERINโ€™S SHOREโ€ I yelled while shaking the bus driverโ€

I could see all the passengers look and me, and gave me..you know..that look.

โ€œOKAY OKAY!! ASTERINโ€™S SHORE IS OVER THEREโ€ the bus driver exclaimed while pointing to out the door to the right.

I ran out the bus, as quick as I can. Now why did I just act like a psychopath, even thought I didnโ€™t even want to come to this beach? Well because, I felt like it. I then began acting like a normal person and just walked across the boardwalk. It was getting dark to be honest, sundown was going slower than usual. I looked around the beach.

โ€œNow where could a group of kids be, that my mother dragged me to meet.โ€ I mumbled.

*TAP TAP*

I was shocked actually. I turned around to see a guy and a girl holding sticks. Weโ€™re they trying to kill me or somethingโ€ฆ

โ€œHey! Hello! Are you looking for someone? No one comes to the beach at this time.โ€ Asked the unknown boy in a unknown accent

โ€œThen why are you here..?โ€ I asked questionably.

โ€œHeh..well me and my friends come to asterinโ€™s shore usually at this time, just us though. Oh, Iโ€™m Gene, and this is Vivi.โ€ Gene said whiling point towards the girl.

โ€œHellooโ€ vivi said with a smile.

โ€œOh, well in the that case, Iโ€™m Mallory. Me and my mom just moved here and my neighbor, Mrs.Kay told me-โ€œ I said whiling getting cut off.

โ€œAhh, Mrs.Kayy. You must be looking for William then.โ€ Vivi said

How did she know? Wait was she there stalking me? How did she get here so fast?

โ€œMrs.Kay thinks William is like crazy lonely. She made me and a few others hang out with him when we first got here, but that was a while back. Crazy how she still does that hehโ€ Vivi chuckled.

โ€œHeh I guess?โ€ I said unquestionably

โ€œOver there, Iโ€™ll introduce you to the friendgroup, oh but some people arenโ€™t here today, youโ€™ll see them eventually.โ€ Gene said whiling walking me towards the group of people.

โ€œHey, so which school are you attending?โ€ Asked Vivi.

Vivi then placed her hand across my shoulder as she held sticks in the other.

โ€œMy mother never told me. But as we were driving to my new house, she did point to a school downtown. It was on the hill and it looked like there was..vines growing on the side..-โ€œ I then got cut off.

โ€œOH! Youโ€™re attending our school! North Victorian Academy, good time to then join though. Spring break ends today, youโ€™ll love the school.โ€ Gene chuckled

I then smiled and looked up to see 3-4 people looking at Geneโ€™s sticks then at me. I could tell they were extremely confused.

โ€œ whoโ€™s the new kidโ€ a random girl asked.

โ€œWoah, this yo girl Gene?โ€ Asked another random boy.

โ€œAlright, everyone! This is Mallory, she just moved in the house near Williamโ€™s house, sheโ€™ll be attending our school!โ€ Vivi said with a somewhat loud voice.

The group of people then began to said โ€œhelloโ€ and โ€œwelcomeโ€. You know how the story goes, they had to introduce themselves now.

โ€œOh and Mallory, this is William, Evelina, Leo..and where is Diane?โ€ Gene pointed out then asked.

โ€œOh well she left early, family emergency I guess?โ€ Evelina said.

โ€œIโ€™m guessing my mother played the meet William at asterinโ€™s shore act?โ€ William mocked and chuckled.

โ€œWell yeah aha, itโ€™s fine though. My mother insisted on coming to meet you guys here anyway.โ€ I chuckled.

I then looked at every single one of them, I didnโ€™t realize it before but they all seem different..even their accent sounds off.

โ€œOH! You must be confused by some of our accents. Vivi is Japanese, Me and William are just normal Canadians, Gene is French, and Leo is Russian. We all met at a North Victorian Academy, most international students attend there. And you?โ€ Evelina cleared up then asked.

โ€œOhhh, well in that case, Iโ€™m actually Thai, my mother on the other hand is plain canadian thought.โ€ I said.

I could see everyone trying to get every info about me into their heads. Then the one boy Leo began to start a fire with the sticks and then music started to play from a far distance, on the other side of the beach. They began to sit down as I slowly reached to the floor to sit on.

โ€œ you know, even though spring break is about to end, I had the best time with you guys for real. It seems like whatever we do, I seem to enjoy. Itโ€™s nice being out of the house.โ€ Leo said in his accent.

โ€œYeah.. well I mean we did enjoy the break. But we gotta finish freshman year off with better memories.โ€ Vivi stated.

โ€œHow about you kiddo, you hopping into freshman year too?โ€ Asked Leo.

โ€œOh well yeah, Iโ€™m glad to spend it with you guys..even if it may just be on a small island.โ€ I chuckled.

โ€œyeah..I wasnโ€™t too happy when I moved here too. I honestly thought I was just gonna keep being that sad lonely teenager, with moody mornings everyday..but honestlyโ€ฆthatโ€™s exactly what happened.โ€ Vivi laughed.

*everyone laughed*

โ€œBUTTTT..ahem, i never would have guessed I met stupid shits like you guys. Thank you for the long nights!โ€ Vivi finished off.

*WOOAAHH*

*everyone smiled and laughed*

The night continued. Dancing and laughing. At 9:30, all the busses had closed, but me and the group walked back to the neighborhood, some went to other neighborhoods. One day..done.
