Prologue
"Why didn't you chase him?" the interviewer asked in a furious tone. She must've realized it and immediately apologized.
"Why would I? He'll come back the next day anyway." I shrugged and her mouth was left hanging open. "Wait a minute I thought he would quit his job after that exchange of arguments with you and your cousin?" she was confused - it was written on her face.
"Well, I thought so too but still he did come back the next morning."
There was a deafening silence between the two of us. The ticking of the clock was the only noise you can hear. Moments later, I heard a heavy sigh coming from the lady interviewer. "Look Madam, I am sorry for intervening with your story. C-can we start over? Starting from the picnic, is that okay?"
Instead of scolding the young lady, I nodded my head. She reminds me of myself when I was her age - when I first met him.
