Chapter 1
It was 6 a.m in the morning on a Saturday, I got wake up from the banging across the room, I cover my ears and close my eyes, as the flashback coming of my parents fighting, tears flowing down to my cheeks as I quickly wipes away, as I heard the front door slamming as it’s close. Yes, it’s my roommate and her boyfriend going at it again, fights over fights that never resolve to anything.
I get off my bed and open my door, just seeing my roommate there sobbing her eyes out, she notice that I’ve been looking at her, she look back and wipes her tears as she smile uncomfortably, “hey, did we wake you up?” she ask as the tears keep flowing, I nod, “sorry, you could go back to sleep again, he wouldn’t come back unless he’s drunk” she said.
Her name is Shelly, Shelly Roosevelt, a cute name, she’s my roommate, she’s nice but we aren’t that close enough even tho we’re roommate. Every morning she and her boyfriend had a fight, fighting with the little things, I don’t know why she’s putting on a fight with her boyfriend, even tho it’s not that worth it, it’s clear to me but it doesn’t seem that clear to her.
I walk towards Shelly, I sit next to her and hug her tightly, “Shelly, why are you keeping a fight with that kind of guy? you know that he doesn’t deserve you, you can do better then her” I ask her the question that’s been bothering me over and over again. She chuckled as she wipes her tears, “I don’t really know why but all I know is that I don’t want to let him go even after what he’s done to me, do you ever get that feeling? even tho you’ve been hurt over and over again you keep on putting a fight to it”, I shake my head, “really? never? what about the guy yesterday, he’s cute and seems interested with you” she ask but she knows the answer to that, she shake her head, “you’ll find one sooner or later, Myranda” she said, “I doubt that tho” I said as I laid my head to her shoulder, she wrap around her arms, “you will, Anda, you will” she said but I chuckled.
I stand up and extend my arms, “come on, let’s go for some take outs” I said, she grabs my arm and smiling, “finally some warmth coming out of you, Anda” she chuckled and slap my back, “what can I say, you’re in a sad moment” I laugh along with her.
