Chapter 20: Back to hell
Here we go again! Another long and bring semester at school! The holidays were over and we were back home. I ran downstairs grimly, not really excited to meet the school bitches and to see Stacy running after Aiden.
“Morning!” Adam said as I walked in the kitchen. My mother hummed a good morning as she had food in her mouth. My father wasn’t in the kitchen yet.
“Morning” I mumbled as I sat down and leant my head on Adam’s shoulder.
“I still can’t believe that you manage to get good grades assuming you hate school” he said while chuckling. I rolled my eyes and pulled my bowl in front of me.
“I don’t hate school. I hate the bitches who go there” I cleared making my brother chuckled and my mother stopped chewing.
“Language!” My mother scolded. I grinned as she talked while having food in her mouth.
“Manners!” I exclaimed while pointing at her mouth. She rolled her eyes and swallowed her food.
“Dave! The kids will be leaving for school!” My mother shouted, a bit annoyed.
“Already?” I heard my father asked from his office.
“Yes” my mother answered sternly. Soon, my father ran in the kitchen and kissed my brother and I on our foreheads. As he was going to kiss my mom, she moved away and glared at him.
“You’re angry?” My father asked seriously.
“Yes” my mom said while crossing her arms.
“Because I’m late?” He asked again.
“Yes” she snapped and put her plate in her sink.
“I love you” my father tried. My brother and I snickered at how helpless my father looked. My mother ignored him, making my father groan. “You were suppose to say it back” my father said.
“You suck” my mother retorted grimly.
“Language!” I scolded playfully. A smile made its way on my mother’s face.
“Sweetheart, I love you!” My father tried again. My mother kept on ignoring him but my dad had something planned in his head as he grinned mischievously. “Don’t make me do this” my father said with a smirk. My mom rose her head cautiously. Adam and I knew that my father was going to tickle my mom till she said I love you back. He always does that.
“Dave, I swear to god if you come near me, i’ll-” my mother started while backing away from my father but my dad was too fast for her. Soon, her giggles were heard as my father tickled her. Adam and I laughed at this scene and internally, I swoon for this type of relationship. They started dating when they were both seventeen and even now, they’re still in love.
“Fine! I love you little bastard!” My mother screamed while laughing. My father let her go and stole a peck with a grin on his face.
“Language, Lily” my father said and gave us a wink.
“Well, even though it was quite entertaining to see you two doing... your thing, Tori and i need to go” Adam snickered and took an apple from the fruit basket as we made our way to our new cars. Yes. My parents bought each of us a new car. Mine was a black R8 and my brother’s was the same in silver.
“See you at school” I sang as I stepped in my awesome new car. I took a deep breath and tried not to squeal at the thought of having my own new car. The window glass were tinted and made the car looked so damn mysterious. I watched as my brother started driving and soon I followed behind him.
As we parked our cars, I noticed many students were staring at our cars and waiting for us to get out. They were probably curious about who were in the cars. I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath. I decided to let loose my red hair today and sincerely, I looked different with my hair down. I was wearing a mid thigh summer dress and a high heel boot. I waited for my brother to get out of his car and once he did, I followed. Slowly, I opened the door and got out of my black R8. I ignored the numerous pairs of eyes that were set on us.
“Ready for another hellish semester?” I turned my head to see Becca leaning against my car with a grim expression on her face.
“No, I’m not. And i assume you’re not either” I chuckled when she groaned and turned to look at me.
“I miss Sebastian!” She whined. Sebastian was back to France and he was coming back in two weeks. I smiled and walked to where my brother and Hannah were standing. As we walked to our locker, we saw Aiden walking down the hall with Stacy by his side. I gritted my teeth in irritation and opened my locker.
“You’re fine?” Adam asked worriedly. I turned and gave him a smile.
“Yeah, I am. It’s just that of all the sluts, he had to choose that one!” I exclaimed as they walked by us. Aiden stopped and huffed in annoyance.
“Stacy, seriously, leave me alone!” Aiden snapped. What? My brother and I stared stared at Aiden in confusion. What? He was pushing the walking STD away.
“We’ll talk about that tonight, babe” Stacy said with a wink while Aiden stared at her in disgust.
“Keep your hope up” Aiden mumbled, making us laugh. Stacy turned her attention to my brother and gave him a flirty smile.
“Hey, Adam” she greeted with a sweet fake smile. Hannah faked gagged and wrapped her arms around Adam’s hips to show that he was hers. Adam smiled at the action and hugged her back.
“Hey, Stacy” Adam greeted back. The bitch eyed Hannah up and down before scoffing.
“You’re dating that trash?” She squealed like a pig. I clenched my jaw at her words while Hannah simply rolled her eyes.
“No, I’m not dating you Stacy” Adam said with a smirk. Hannah giggled and I high five my brother. This seemed to infuriate Stacy as she turned to look at me.
“What are you laughing at, bitch? You think because you’ve changed, you’re going to be all popular and mighty? No, you won’t. You’re going to be the same plain nerd!” Stacy sneered. What the hell? I didn’t even say a word. I smirked and took a step forward. My brother instantly caught my arm, fearing that I would probably break her fake nose.
“I was laughing at you. You call people names that can only be used to describe yourself” I said with a humorless chuckle. “I prefer being called the nerd than being called the school bitch or even worst, the walking STD. Stay out of my way Stacy and don’t you dare say a word to my friends” I said casually but the threats were still serious. Her eyes hardened as she turned to stare at Aiden.
“Babe, you’re going to let her talk to me like that?” Stacy exclaimed in disbelief as she clutched on Aiden’s jacket.
“Well said, sweetheart” Aiden said. The problem was that he said those words to me. Stacy jumped away from Aiden and looked at him in shock.
“Did you just call the nerd sweetheart?” She questioned and over reacted, being the great drama queen she was. That was what I was avoiding. I face palmed myself, knowing what was coming after that. Rumors obviously.
“Yeah, I did” Aiden replied monotonously. My brother knew what I was thinking about as I heard him take a deep breath. Aiden turned to look at me and by the look on my face, he knew that he had to do something.
“Why did you call the nerd sweetheart, Aiden?” Stacy asked as if she was betrayed by my bad boy. Aiden took a deep breath and finally turned to look at the drama bitch.
“Because I don’t know her name?” Aiden lied and Stacy seemed to be satisfied with his answer.
“Of course you won’t. I mean she’s nobody” Stacy scoffed and I rolled my eyes. “So baby, meet you tonight” she said with a wink and walked away after kissing Aiden on his cheek. I clenched my jaw, trying to control that jealously that was eating me.
“Let’s get to class” Hannah said, breaking everyone’s thoughts. As i turned, I saw Aiden staring at me. I smiled at him and gave him a wink.
“Thank you” I whispered as our group walked to our classes. “And by the way, my name is Victoria” I joked and hand shake with him. He chuckled.
I swear that as I walked away, I heard him muttered something like ‘how can I ever forget you?’ But I ignored it and walked in the class to see David and John sitting side by side.
“Drama queen strike again” I told them as I took the seat just behind them. They both turned to look at me with wide eyes.
“What did she say?” Both of then questioned at the same time making me chuckle slightly.
“Call Hannah a trash, call me a nerd, asking Aiden to fuck him at night” I said with a shrug. John bit his lips and by this action, I knew that he wanted to tell me something. “What is it?” I asked as I rested my head on my table.
“How are things going between you and Aiden?” He asked. I sighed and switched my eyes back and forth from David to John. Both of then were waiting for my response impatiently.
“We’re pretending to be strangers” I told them and they rolled their eyes at the same time, making me roll mine too. “But we’re friends” I said.
“He hates to do that” David said.
“He wants to be able to talk and laugh with you without any restraints. He only accepted your decision because he cares about you” John said and I stared at him with wide eyes.
“How do you know that?” I asked curiously, making David scoff.
“He’s my best friend” he only said and I nodded in comprehension.
“The problem is that I’m not ready to face all the things that I had to go through two years ago” I mumbled. David stared at us in confusion while John nodded his head, understanding my dilemma.
“What if things don’t happen the same way? You won’t know until you give it a try” John said with a shrug. I knew he was right but there was a problem here.
“Should I remind you that Aiden is the one who doesn’t do relationships here?” I asked in exasperation.
“Yeah, and you’re the only one who can actually make him want a relation” David said. “If you heard how he talked about you, you’d know” he said and I closed my eyes, trying to register everything.
“I need time to think” I mumbled, trying to avoid this conversation at all cost.
“Take all your time sweetheart” John said with a smile.
“How’s thing going on between you two?” I asked with a smile. John finally told David that he was gay and the latter was so happy that five seconds later, he crashed his lips against John’s.
“Amazing” They both said at the same time again. I groaned.
“You should really stop talking in unison” I said.
“We don’t” they said together. I face palmed myself as they turned to the front with their backs facing me and I knew that they were finding it really amusing to annoy me.
“I will kill you if you do it again” I threatened.
“You wouldn’t” they said in unison. This is it! This time I stood up and walked to them with my copybooks in both of my hands, and before they saw it coming, I smacked the copybooks on their heads before making my way back to the table.
“I warned you” I said with pride as I settled in my seat.
“Oh no, she killed us with her copybook!” David cried with sarcasm, making me chuckle and John laughed.
