Chapter 1
Bree sat in her apartment staring at her phone. She got a call from her dad asking her to come home because something happened. She packed a bag. There was a knock at the door. She opened it and saw her best friend, Rachel and her husband James.
“Hey guys,” Bree said.
“Hey sweetie,” James said.
“What happened,” Rachel said.
“I got a call from my dad asking me to come home because something happened and he wouldn’t tell me what it was,” Bree said.
“Baby,” James said.
“We are going with you, get your stuff and we will stop and get ours on the way, you are not going alone,” Rachel said.
“Thanks guys,” Bree said.
“What are friends for,” Rachel said. They got her stuff and she locked up and they went and got theirs and they headed out of the city. They lived in Denver, Colorado. Her family lived in Texas. They took turns driving. They arrived in Amarillo, Texas and went to her family home.
“Sweetheart, you are home!” her dad said.
“Daddy,” Bree said. She hugged him. She saw her stepmother.
“Hi sweetie,” Sally said.
“Hey Sally,” Bree said. They hugged.
“James, Rachel, good to see you both,” Thomas said.
“You too, sir, I hope you don’t mind me and Rachel tagging along,” James said.
“You two are family,” Thomas said.
“Thanks Dad,” Rachel said.
“Thanks Dad,” James said.
“Dad what is going on?” Bree asked.
“Sweetheart, let’s go inside,” Thomas said. They all went in and she saw her twin brother. She ran and hugged him.
“My beautiful twin sis, I missed you so much,” Brad said.
“I missed you too,” Bree said.
“Bree!” Faith said.
“Hey Faith!” Bree said. They hugged. They all sat down.
“Okay the real reason you are here is because I’m getting married,” Brad said.
“What?” Congratulations,” Bree said.
“Thanks sis, you may not like with who,” Brad said.
“Just tell me,” Bree said.
“To me,” Faith said.
“What okay so you are marrying our stepsister?” Bree asked.
“Twinnie, we aren’t blood related and we can’t help who we fall in love with,” Brad said.
“I know that, I’m happy for you, just in shock but happy, that’s all I want for you, when Dad called me, he made it seem like something horrible happened,” Bree said.
“Will you be my maid of honor?” Faith asked.
“Of course,” Bree said.
“Sis there is something else, we kicked Beth out of the family because what she did was horrible,” Brad said.
“What did she do?” Bree asked.
“A few days after you moved to Denver, we found her in bed with Kyle,” Faith said.
“Turns out that they have been sneaking around ever since before you guys broke up,” Brad said.
“So he was cheating on me,” Bree said.
“Yeah with Beth,” Faith said.
“I can’t believe this,” Bree said.
“We all yelled at her and I told her she was no longer my sister,” Brad said.
“I disowned her,” Thomas said.
“Dad,” Bree said.
“Sweetheart, she betrayed this family,” Thomas said.
“She’s always been jealous of me,” Bree said.
“Sis, she’s always wanted what you had,” Brad said.
“Well she got something I had, my first love,” Bree said.
“We have a guest coming tonight,” Thomas said.
“Who?” Bree asked.
“You will see, sweetheart,” Thomas said. She hugged them and went to her room she had at the house. Her dad showed James and Rachel to one of the guest rooms. She got settled into her room.
