Chapter 3
Bree sat there staring at the pool. She felt someone beside her and she looked and saw Evan standing there. He sat on the chair beside her.
“Bree, I’m sorry about this,” Evan said.
“Why do you want to marry me?” Bree asked.
“To tell you the truth, I have always had a crush on you, I wanted to be with you and Kyle got you first, he knew I had feelings for you and he got to you first,” Evan said.
“Oh Evan,” Bree said.
“Bree, I want to have a chance with you, I promise you that I will be totally devoted to you and I never will cheat or anything like that, if we got together, you would be the only woman in my life, besides my sister of course,” Evan said.
“You seriously want us to get married,” Bree said.
“In my heart, I know you are my forever, I would wait forever for you,” Evan said.
“And if I don’t do this?” Bree asked.
“I would say that you know what happens but I am not that heartless, I will give your father the money regardless, but I want to be your husband,” Evan said.
“So you seriously want to get married,” Bree said.
“Yes, I can arrange for us to go to Vegas tomorrow morning, and as soon as we say I do, the money will be deposited into your dad’s account,” Evan said.
“Okay,” Bree said.
“Okay?” Evan asked.
“I will marry you,” Bree said. Evan smiled and took her hands and kissed them. She felt tingles go through her body. She looked at him.
“Can I kiss you?” Evan asked. She nodded. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her softly. The kiss deepened as he pulled her into his lap. Their tongues met in their mouths. She moaned in his mouth. He held her close. They pulled apart and rested their foreheads together.
“Wow,” Evan said.
“Wow,” Bree said.
“You feel it, Bree,” Evan said.
“Yeah, I think I made a mistake back then,” Bree said.
“What?” Evan asked.
“Being with him, I should have never been with him,” Bree said.
“You do realize that if you were with me that she would have tried to get me,” Evan said.
“Oh right,” Evan said.
“But it would have never worked, I would have never believed her, I’m nothing like him,” Evan said.
“I know, you are so much better,” Bree said.
“I am never letting you go, I am going to make you the happiest you have ever been,” Evan said.
“I believe you,” Bree said.
“So what is the verdict,” Thomas said.
“It’s a go, we are leaving for Vegas tomorrow, as soon as we are married, the money will be in your account,” Evan said.
“Okay then,” Thomas said.
“Wait so it’s just you and me going?” Bree asked.
“Yes sweetheart, we will have a family wedding later,” Thomas said.
“So who is going to be a witness,” Bree said.
“Me and Faith, sis, we are going to have a double wedding with you,” Brad said.
“We figured we could do a double family wedding as well,” Faith said.
“Oh okay so I won’t need to be your maid of honor then,” Bree said.
“We will be each other’s maid of honor,” Faith said.
“Okay,” Bree said.
“Don’t unpack, Bree, when we get back, you will be with me,” Evan said.
“Are you going to move to Denver with me?” Bree asked.
“What?” Evan asked.
“I live in Denver now,” Bree said.
“We can talk more about that after the wedding,” Evan said.
“As soon as we get there, we will be going shopping for dresses,” Faith said.
“Okay, I need to get a shower and get to bed,” Bree said.
“We will be leaving at 9am,” Evan said. She nodded and he kissed her before he got Erica and left. Bree hugged her dad and brothers and Rachel and James and went to shower and went to bed.
