Departure
“Do I really have to go?”, I asked my Father, Beta of Crystal River Pack. I would be going on a trip with my school specially for Seniors. My school was a Werewolf only school located in South Dakota.
“You might meet your mate since you are going to turn 18 while your there”, he added. He did have a point. When my wolf Reese heard that she started walking in circles in my head as she started getting excited.
Where are my manners? Hi, I’m Alexis Jade Sterling, member of Crystal River pack, daughter of Beta William Sterling. I am a Senior at Olive Grove High school. My wolf’s name is Reese, like you would suspect from her named she is a warm chocolate brown wolf with golden highlights, she has ice blue eyes. I was an average height of 5’6” with brown hair, I had tan skin and freckles. My eyes were also blue to match my wolf. And now my father is trying to convince me to go on my Senior trip with my school.
“Fine I will go”, i said.
“Well you better start packing then, you have to meet at your school in 1 hour. With that I ran upstairs, I didn’t want to upset my father. He was already is so much stress, yesterday had been two years since my moms death.
Once I was done packing I walked outside to my drive way where my blacked out Dodge Charger was sitting. It had been my sweet 16 present.
On the way to school I stopped at Starbucks and got my usual Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte. I loved the smell of Cinnamon.
When I got to school I parked next to my best friend Cora Black. She was on the taller side of
5’9”, she had brown hair with silver highlights. Her eyes were a soft green with a touch of brown. Her wolf’s name was Willow. She was the daughter of our Alpha and she had a twin brother, we never see him much since he is always busy looking for his mate and getting ready to take over the position as Alpha.
“Okay people, get with a partner and choose wisely you will be staying with them in your cabin and you will participate in the games and activities”, our principal Mr. Windsor explained. Me and Cora were already partners. We got into the Greyhound bus and we were seated next to each other. Girls were on one side and boys on the other.
People were still getting on the bus and I noticed a tall guy who looked similar to Cora.
“Cora, is that your brother?”, I asked her. If it was he had changed a lot.
“Yeah”, she added. “Hey bro come and sit over here”, he looked over to where me and Cora were sitting. He and his friend Ashton walked over and sat in the seat across from us. We locked eyes as he sat down. His eyes were a deep grey color. They looked like storm clouds.
“What’s your name beautiful?”, he asked.
“Alexis Starling, I’m Beta William’s daughter. What’s your name?”, i asked back.
“Preston. Preston Black, Cora’s brother and soon to be Alpha.”, he added. There was something about him that made me not want to take my eyes off him. The bus started moving and we were off to our Senior trip.
