Chapter 1 - The beginning

"Ravenna, could you take your belongings up to your room?" Charlie asked as he pointed to the stack of brown boxes in the hallway.

"Okay dad," I said. I picked up the boxes and I carried them up the stairs. I placed them on the hard wooden floor and then jumped onto the bed. I snuggled up into the blankets and I breathed in the fresh fragrance of aftershave. It was lovely.
Wait... Aftershave? There was a faint sound. I sat up and looked directly towards the drift of an unfamiliar odour. I rubbed my eyes to get a clear view when suddenly the window slid open.

"Did I wake you?" Said a manly voice.
I jumped up off the bed in shock.

"Who are you?" I questioned as I stood back to admire this being in front of me.

"Jacob Adams, but the real question is who are you?" He said, climbing into the room.
There was silence, I couldn't bring myself to say anything. This guy was hot and I mean really hot. He smirked and walked closer to me.

"I'm Ravenna Jordan," I answered. His sleek black hair glistened in the sunlight, his muscles were big and sturdy, his shoulders were broad, his smell was overwhelming. His ocean blue eyes locked with mine.

"I have never had a neighbour out here before," he said as he looked back out the window to the endless, dark woods.

"Is that a bad thing?" I asked. He turned his head towards me.

"I'm glad you're here," he said. His smile made me feel butterflies.

"Do you go to Stanford college?" I asked.

"Yes I do, are you going there?" He replied. A spark lit up in his eyes. I knew he wanted me to go there.

"I'm starting tomorrow," I said as I walked over to my calendar.

"Great, I'll be seeing you," he said. Everything about him made me smile.
But he had to go now.

"It's getting dark you should go," I said as I looked at the sun that started to set. The full moon would rise soon.

"If you say so," he agreed. He walked over to the window and clambered out. He looked back, winked and then he was gone. Wow, I like him. His hair, his eyes, his lips, his body, his personality. Focus Ravenna. I opened my boxes and unpacked them. I laid out an outfit for the morning and hung it on my door.

This is my new beginning.

Jacob - Wow, I like her. I sat at my window and looked across to her house, to her window. Everything about her made me smile, her long black hair that touched her curvy hips, her gorgeous blue eyes that looked flawless, her rosy fragrance, her cute button nose that sat above her irresistible, glossy lips. Ravenna, what a beautiful name. I stared at her every action. How could someone be this perfect? She took her shirt off. I froze.

"Jacob, what are you doing?" Said a voice from behind him.

"What, oh nothing," I said as I shut my curtain and stood up.

"Well, your father and I are going hunting, do you wanna come?" She asked.

"No thanks I'm going to stay," I said, hoping she would now go away.

"Ok we will be back in a couple of hours," she said, then left the room.
Finally. I opened my curtains to see her looking out to me. We both blushed. She waved nervously and I exchanged a wave back. She wore a red silky nightie that made my jaw drop. She was elegant and stunning. She waved good night then her light went out. Sweet dreams to you. I got up and walked to the bathroom. I turned the shower on and thought long and hard about her. I had concluded that she was going to be mine.

This was my new beginning
