As Kayden is in deep regret and could never forgive himself, he is determined to win his Alora back into his arms (where she belongs.) But Alora isn't making it any easier for him....will she overcome the harsh pain and hatred towards him and let down her walls?

Prolouge

“Mommy! Mommy don’t go!” cried 6 year old Alora. Alora miserably watched her mom walk away leaving her in the hands of her first grade teacher.

“Now sweetie it’s gonna be fine. I’m sure you would love it here just fine,” the teacher smiled warmly. Alora pouted not believing a single word she said.

She mournfully looked down at her new pink shoes she adored wholeheartedly. She began to slowly walk towards the play area. On her way to the swings out of nowhere a red ball collided forcefully to the back of her head. As it took a few moments to process what just happened, Alora’s face flushed with embarrassment as tears were forming from the back of her eyes. Few kids had witnessed what happened and broke out into wild laughter. Alora wouldn’t have thought that this day couldn’t get any more worse.

Through her teary-blurred vision, she saw a boy around her age standing in front of her with guilt in his warm hazel eyes. Sniffling she noticed that he had honey brown hair flowing and glistening from the sun light. She blushed at his handsomeness and then noticed ....the red ball in his hands. Instantly she realized that he was the one who threw the ball at her resulting absolute humiliation on her behalf. Great fury started fuming up within Alora, that all her distress from before straightaway turned into anger.

“Hi...I’m so sorry for what happened I-”

He didn’t get to finish what he had to say because she furiously pushed him forcefully to the hard ground. The classmates all became quiet watching with great interest. The boy looked up with an unreadable expression on his stony face. Alora watched the boy’s mesmerizing eyes shift color from golden to a deep black.....uneasiness stirred up inside her. Her eyes widen at the animalistic predator look on his face. “What’s happening?” she thought “Why does he look all scary all of sudden?”
Alora took a step back where she was now aware of every single tiny detail.....his face darkening, his canines sharpening, claws sprouting out from his fingernails, and the sheer sound of bone snapping.

Her heart stopped-- frozen she watched the blood curdling scene right before her eyes. His bones were crackling, snapping into different directions slowing morphing into a hairy beast. Her face was washed over with extreme shock as the creature snarled at her sharply.

“It’s a wolf....” thought Alora as her heart tried escaping by jumping so far up to her throat. With a millisecond later, the wolf lunged itself at her with raging eyes. She got slammed backwards with razor sharp canines piercing through her skin on her right shoulder. Alora screamed in pain and terror. All the young children looked horror-stricken as they frantically ran for their lives while repeatedly looking back. The animal continuously took out it’s anger on the poor girl clawing it’s way through her fragile body. Thick blood poured non-stop from her deep wounds.

“Stop! Please...Stop!” Alora cried agonizingly. She tried kicking and punching with all her might at the wolf, but the wolf kept on aggressively attacking. A pair of sharp claws slashed at the left side of her face severely tearing at her soft skin. The girl screamed out in searing hot pain. With cheeks damp from tears she peered at the wolf’s golden hazel eyes. Suddenly the murderous expression on the pup’s face vanished and now looked taken back. A variety of mixed emotions came flashing in his eyes. Realization, disbelief, shame, guilt, regret, and lastly dreadfulness...

The young wolf quickly took his blood stained body off of hers and ran off into the mysterious woods. Loud sirens ringed in Alora’s ears. Her droopy eyelids made out a blurry figure of paramedics coming her way and red lights blaring. She became very drowsy and lightheaded. Her eyes begging to close she was soon pulled into world of darkness...
