Summary

Falling in love with you was the easy part; it's admitting to myself that it happened that's hard. You see I've had these very efficient defenses for so long and you didn't even notice them. How rude. I guess they were meant for others and you had your own door. I could ask why, but what's the point? You're here and I'm so glad, even if I'm sometimes hiding, imagining a distance instead of seeing you right there. ~ ❂ ~ Or one where an art student on summer break in the heart of Paris believes that love will never find her. But once she looks closer to the girl with hair as waves of pure earth and God-given features, that always sits by the windows at the local cafe every morning the art student knew she was home. ~ ❂ ~ I'm really not good at descriptions, so please just give it a chance

Pre-story explenation

~ ❂ ~

I wished to inform you that I have dyslexia. If you’re not familiar with this is a condition I was born with. Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that can cause problems with reading, writing, and spelling. It’s a specific learning difficulty, which means it causes problems with certain abilities used for learning, such as reading and writing. There is a failure of the left hemisphere rear brain that affects the brain’s language processing areas.

I myself mostly struggle with spelling, especially in English since it’s not my first language. So I warn you that there are most likely misspellings and sentences that may not make sense, so if you see any of these, feel free to point them out so it’ll be easier for me to edit later.

I also wanted to add to the fact that I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety, so if I don’t update in a while it’s most likely because I have logged off until I feel better.

i really hope you enjoy the story : )

Nopichic19 : I like the story and the plot, I think they should have explored Maya’s home life and rejection a little more before she was able to move on. There are some sentences that aren’t structured right but not enough to cause confusion. Overall lovely story.
