Chapter 1
Abby sat there on the dock staring out at the lake watching the sunrise. She heard the boards creak on the dock.
“Sis, what’s wrong?” Alex asked.
“I just turned 18 and I am at the time where I should be getting my wolf and find my mate but nothing has happened,” Abby said.
“Give it time sis, I didn’t get my wolf until I was 19 and I’m only two years older than you,” Alex said.
“What if I never get it,” Abby said.
“Sis you will, you are the daughter of the Alpha and Luna who are both wolves, it’s highly unlikely you will not have a wolf, you have alpha blood in you, I remember when you were born, Mom didn’t make it to the pack doctor and had you on their bed, I watched from the playpen and heard Dad name you Abigail Ann Parker,” Alex said.
“That was one of the best days of my life,” Alan said.
“Morning Daddy,” Abby said.
“Morning precious, what’s going on?” Alan asked.
“She’s worried she won’t get her wolf,” Alex said.
“She will come, precious, when she’s ready, we have guests coming today, Alpha Trevor, his Luna, and his sons and daughter,” Alan said.
“I’ll help Mom get things ready,” Abby said.
“Okay precious, your brother and I will be going on our morning run, I can’t wait to go with you,” Alan said. Abby hugged them and they took off into the woods. Abby went to the house.
“My baby girl,” Alice said.
“Hey Momma, what can I help with?” Abby asked.
“You can go make your famous lasagna, you do much better with it than I do,” Alice said.
“Okay love you Mom,” Abby said.
“Oh baby girl I love you too, and don’t worry, you will be complete soon,” Alice said.
“What if I never am, Mom, what if my wolf doesn’t exist,” Abby said.
“That would be impossible for you not to have a wolf when you come from a long line of them, you have your father’s blood running through you along with mine, she will come,” Alice said.
“Aaron is lucky,” Abby said.
“Why honey?” Alice asked.
“He found his mate and she’s human,” Abby said.
“It’s how it came to be, baby girl, the moon goddess choose her for him and she will have the choice of becoming a wolf like us or stay as she is, Aaron is not forcing her to choose,” Alice said.
“And I never will,” Aaron said.
“Hey bro,” Abby said.
“Hey baby sis, what is wrong?” Aaron asked.
“She’s scared she’s not going to have a wolf,” Alice said.
“With our genes, sis, it would be impossible,” Aaron said.
“That’s what I said,” Alice said.
“Need any help Abs?” Sarah asked.
“If you would like to,” Abby said.
“Love you both,” Aaron said. He kissed Sarah on her lips and kissed Abby on her forehead and his mother on her cheek and went to find his brother and father.
“So Aaron said another pack is coming for dinner?” Sarah asked.
“Our strongest allies, Alan and Trevor grew up together as best friends and both took over their packs at the same time and worked together,” Alice said.
“They know about me right?” Sarah asked.
“They know yes and they understand completely that it was the choice of the moon goddess, they know we don’t choose our mate, they are chosen for us,” Alice said.
“When did you know Dad was your mate?” Abby asked.
“When we first met, I walked into the room at the banquet hall where they were having the summit for werewolves and I smelled the most incredible smell of pine and cedar and I turned and saw him standing there staring at me smiling and said Mate, I finally found you,” Alice said.
“And that was it,” Abby said.
“Oh yes, I was drawn to him,” Alice said.
“What did he say you smelled like?” Abby asked.
“Lavender and vanilla,” Alice said.
“Aaron said I smelled like roses,” Sarah said.
“And you still do my love,” Aaron said. He hugged her from behind and kissed her neck.
“I love you,” Sarah said.
“I love you too, baby, and I love you sis and Mom,” Aaron said.
“Love you bro,” Abby said.
“Love you honey,” Alice said. The doorbell rang.
“I will get the door,” Alan said. Abby went back to work on the food with the help of Sarah and Alice.
“Honey, they are here,” Alan said.
“Trevor hello,” Alice said.
“Hello Alice you are looking as beautiful as ever,” Trevor said.
“But not as beautiful as Gloria,” Alice said.
“You’re beautiful but she is the most gorgeous woman ever,” Trevor said.
“Thank you my love, hello Alice,” Gloria said.
“You remember Lance, Paul, Tyler and April,” Trevor said.
“Alpha,” Lance said.
“Alpha,” Paul said.
“Alpha,” Tyler said.
“Alpha,” April said.
“What the?” Alex said.
“Oh my,” April said.
“Mate,” Alex said.
“Mate,” April said.
“Wow,” Trevor said.
“My son and your daughter,” Alan said.
“I believe I found mine,” Lance said. Abby pulled out the lasagna and set it on the stove and turned and found him standing there.
“Oh geez you scared me,” Abby said.
“You remember Abby, Lance,” Alice said.
“Yes and she is my mate,” Lance said.
“Oh god,” Abby said.
“Honey,” Alice said.
“And I can tell she is not complete yet,” Lance said.
“Her wolf hasn’t come,” Alice said.
“Maybe she will now that I’m here,” Lance said. Abby stood there frozen. Lance stroked her cheek.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to reject you, I’ve found you, I’m not going anywhere,” Lance said. Abby collapsed in his arms as everything went black.
