CHAPTER 19: Unwanted guest – Part 1/2

We had finally made it back to the house, and I was exhausted from our journey, feeling it throughout my body. I haven’t been on an excursion like that since the day I was brought here. However, it felt wonderful to get out of the house and venture around, especially with Damon by my side.

I followed Damon up the stairs, heading towards his bedroom and slightly dragging my feet with each step. As we entered the room, Damon turned to me, “Would you like to have a shower?” He asked casually.

Before nodding my head, I sat down on the bed, needing to rest my aching feet. “Yes, I smell.” I chuckled.

He cocked a brow and snorted, “Just a little babe. But don’t worry, I do too.” He replied, trying to make me feel better about my current state.

I pursed my lips and shook my head at him before standing from the bed. I slowly sauntered towards him, swaying my hips with each step. Now standing mere inches before him, I ran a hand down his chest, causing a low rumble to come from him. “You always smell good,” I said in a soft and enticing voice.

He smirked as he brought a hand up, tangling it within my hair and pulled me flush against his chest. Damon bent down, bringing his face closer to mine. “You’re not going to make it to the shower if you keep that up.” He whispered.

I placed both of my hands on his chest and pushed away from him, but he only tightened his grip, keeping me right where he wanted me. “Down boy!.” I said in a teasing manner, and Damon raised a questioning brow, obviously not finding my comment as funny as I did. “We both need to wash the filth off first, then get some food. After that, I’m all yours.” So I told him, then kissed his cheek.

Damon grinned wickedly. “We can always shower together.” He said with a wink, “And no matter what, you are mine, baby.”

A broad smile spread across my face as my cheeks tinted red. “Always and forever, Damon.” My expression turned neutral now. “But seriously, I need to go shower and eat before we engage in any other exercises,” I said.

Damon pouted and gave me those sad puppy eyes. “Don’t do that; it’s not fair,” I told him solemnly.

He chuckled. “Ok, fine.” Damon then kissed my forehead and released me from his embrace.

After I finished in the shower, I got dressed and exited the bathroom, but Damon wasn’t in the room. I looked in the closet, hoping he may be in there, but Damon was nowhere in sight. So I walked back into the bedroom, and just as I was about to leave, Damon came bursting into the room, anger written all over his features.

My brows furrowed. “What’s wrong?” I asked, concern lacing my tone.

His head whipped in my direction, and some of the tension eased as our gazes locked. He shook his head softly. “Nothing that you need to be worried about.” Damon told me, as he kissed my forehead, “I’m getting in the shower now.”

I stood there watching as Damon went into the bathroom, he seemed so upset and furious, but I had no idea why and wished that he would have talked to me about it. Then, shrugging things off, I decided to go downstairs to find us something to eat.

As I entered the kitchen, my eyes went straight to the kitchen window, taking notice of the sun setting in the distance. I walked outside and into the backyard, sucking in a deep, relaxing breath as I watched the sun begin to set around me, its bright, beautiful light illuminating all the land.

A deep and unfamiliar voice rang from behind me as I stood there. I jumped, being caught off guard and thinking that I was alone. I whipped my head around to see who the voice belonged to, and there stood a man I had never met before.

“Hello, my dear, you must be Amelia.” The man said in a cold and sadistic tone.

He was older but held youthful features. The man had dark brown eyes, hair that was short and peppered, adding distinguished masculinity to his physique. His cold and calculating stare drank me in as he stood there. “Who are you?” I cautiously asked the man.

His thin lips curled into a cruel smile. “I am Xavier, Damon’s father.” So he told me, and a shiver of fear ran through my body from the man standing before me.

Damon POV:

I stood there watching as Amelia walked into the shower, and I couldn’t be happier knowing she was all mine now; I felt like the luckiest bastard on the planet. She opened the bathroom door and walked in, but before closing the door, she looked back, staring at me with those lust-filled eyes, causing a grin to spread across my lips.

I shook my head, fighting the urge to go in there and shower with her. However, if I did that, there wouldn’t be much showering going on.

I walked over to the closet, needing to grab some clean clothes, but before I even reached for the door handle, Luca mind linked with me, informing me that he needed to see me immediately. I groaned out in protest, wondering what the fuck was going on now.

I went to Luca’s room, and before I had the chance to even knock on the door, he flung it open, clearly sensing my presence. “Dude, get the fuck in here.” He said in a rush.

Now Luca had my full attention, as he never acted like this unless it was something serious “What’s going on?” I asked hurriedly.

“Did you mark Amelia?” He asked, getting straight to the point.

I exhaled heavily. “Yes, I did, but….”

Luca cut me off, not letting me finish. “Damon, we can all feel the bond, it’s faint, but everyone feels the connection to Amelia, our Luna. Not only that, I overheard your sister talking about it with Mira, and Mira said she is telling your dad.” He said anxiously.

This made my blood boil; if Mira told my father, he would be furious, and there is no telling what he will do. My jaw clenched as I tried to suppress the rage building within me. “Where is Mira now?” I asked through gritted teeth.

Luca shook his head. “I don’t know man, Samantha was trying to convince her not to tell your dad, but I don’t know if it did any good. I haven’t seen either of them since this afternoon.” He regretfully told me.

I closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. “If you see either of them, tell them I want to speak with them immediately.” I quickly told him before leaving the room.

If Mira told my father, he wouldn’t hesitate to come here, and the thought of him hurting Amelia made my wolf stir and howl within my head. I went back to my room and stormed in, not seeing Amelia standing there at first.

“What’s wrong?” She asked worriedly and catching my attention. My head whipped in her direction, and some of the fury melted away just from the sight of her. I walked over to her and shook my head. “Nothing that you need to be worried about,” I told her, not wanting her to worry. I softly kissed her forehead, feeling the warmth of her skin against my lips. “I’m getting in the shower now.”
