Chapter 6

A few days have gone by and I’ve settled in fine into Lucas's apartment where my daddy and me share. I haven’t really done much just topping up my tan for when I go back to England. It’s actually what I’m doing now. Sunbathing on the roof top of the apartments, lounging around the pool.

There’s this guy who’s always up here around this time who’s so attractive. He must be mid 20s, tanned, toned and when he smiles I swear the whole world around me stops. He’s such a beautiful human being but I’m to scared to go over to him and talk to him. He probably has a girl friend and he looks like one of those guys who knows there hot and anyone who’s not on there level he just looks down his nose at you. I’ll just lay over here and admire him from a distance.

“Can you make it any more obvious?” I jump out of my seat and turn to see Lucas standing by my sun lounger.

“I.. Wasn’t.. Looking” my voice shakes.

“What ever you say. He’s a d*ck, don’t go near him”

“I wasn’t.... I don’t know what your talking about” I innocently say laying back down and covering my body with a towel.

“It’s fine! I’m not judging you” he says sitting on the sun lounger next to me in just a pair of swim shorts.

Making my self comfortable again I close my eyes taking in the sun rays.

“Wait.. How did you know I was up here?”

“Where else would you be at this time?”

“Have you been spying on me?” I sit up and remove my glasses. He sits staring back at me shaking his head with a slight smirk.

“No I’m looking out for you. I know what guys are like around beautiful gal like you”

Did he just call me beautiful. My cheeks feel warm, I feel my self blushing from his soothing words. Be cool, don’t make it show how much his words effected you!

“Thanks” is all I say. The only words that leave my lips is thanks. Lucas smiles and lays down on the sun lounger placing his sun glasses down over his eyes. My eyes quickly scan his toned chest and stomach before he looks up at me catching me looking at him and I quickly lay back down.

The hottie stands up around the pool, dipping his feet into the water and I can’t help but admire him. He’s literally perfection and he’s roughly age appropriate ish. Maybe I’ll grow some confidence next week and go talk to him.

“You really don’t know how to play it cool do you?” Lucas laughs beside me.

“I’m not doing anything!”

“You’re checking him out and he knows it.”

“He does?”

“Of course he does! You haven’t stopped looking at him. Have you never talked to a guy before?” He laughs and I sit up facing Lucas.

“Of course I have! It’s just that I’m in a different country that’s what it is. Guys here are different. Do you know his name?”

“Well he is British him self! He visits his old man every year around this time. I think his name is Gerri or something like that. I heard he’s a complete d*ck to gals. No respect for em.”

“You shouldn’t believe everything you hear. Maybe he’s a real sweet guy!” I look over to Lucas whos just laying flat looking up at the sun.

“I’m just warning you so you don’t get hurt.”

“Did my daddy put you up to this?” I say sitting up.

“Nope. He’s to busy trying to figure out how to get Lisa to forgive him to worry about who is little gal crushes on”

“I’m not little any more! I’ve lived in London by my self for the past 2 years, I can look after my self” I stand up and wrap my kimono around my body and walk away.

“Poppy wait!” I hear him sigh and catches up to me. Lucas grabs my arm and turns me around to face him.

“What!” I say loudly stopping and shaking him of me.

“Just take it easy on your dad! He’s going through a tough time but he’s so happy and excited that you are here with him” I sigh knowing he’s right. I don’t know what happened between them but I do know he loves unfortunately.

“I know he’s going through a tough time. I wish he told me what happened between them and fine i’ll listen to you about Gerri or what ever his name is”

“Im sure he’ll tell you when he’s ready” I feel Lucas’s warm arm over my soulder pulling me against his topless chest. He smells so manly, a mixture of cologne and sweat. Its a pretty warm day so I understand the sweat but i’d rather not be this close to it.

“What do you say we go back down to the apartment and I give you a taste of my awesome summer’s day cocktails?”

“Like alcohol cocktails?” I question looking up at him as he still has his arm around me.

“Obviously!”

“But I’m not 21!” I say innocently.

“Like you’re one to stick by the rules. I’ve heard about you and all your rule breaking you use to do here, god knows what you get up to in London” he smirks opening the door for me and places his hand flat on my lower back gently edging me in.

“I just wanted my daddy’s attention back them, I’m not like I was any more”

“So you’re not going to try my cocktails? More for me then”

“Ohhh I want to try them! I just wanted to make out I’m a good girl”

“I highly doubt you are” he winks at me as we step into the elevator. Wrapping my kimono tighter around my body I look across the elevator as Lucas looks back at me.

“Why would you say that?”

“Because you live in London and you don’t have anyone to stop you from doing the things that don’t make you a good girl” my cheeks burn and I feel my self turn a shade of bright pink so I quickly look down and unlock my phone pretending to text someone.

The lift gets to our floor and Lucas unlocks the door gesturing me to first and he follows from behind.

“I’ll just go get some clothes on and i’ll be down in a little while” I smile rushing to the stairs still conscious of how much skin is on show.

“No problem. I’ll have the best cocktails you’ll ever try ready for you”
