The Week That We Met

Saturday (Afternoon Onwards)

“I want to stay with you,” I whisper, but I made sure that it was audible enough for her to hear. “Not just for now, but also on other days.”

“That can be arranged,” she replies. “But wouldn’t you get sick of having me around?”

“Isn’t that a bit too soon to say?” I wonder out loud. “Besides...”

She tilts her head a little bit, waiting patiently on what I’m about to say.

“What I really want to say is... I want to stay with you more often.”

“Don't you mean always?”

“I-If possible,” I look away, embarrassed. “Isn’t that a bit too much for me to ask?”

“I don’t think so,” she answers me in a tone as if to tease me. “I do want the same.”

As her face rests on my hand, she closes her eyes— her comfort being evident. I lean in closer on instinct, but she notices this and looks into my eye. Our hands let go: hers on my shoulder, and mine on her waist. We both lean in closer for a kiss. Only the whistling of the wind can be heard as we stay still.

The skies turn a bright orange as we depart from the park and the shops and streets fill with lights; the vibe making it seem as if the day has only just begun. While I notice the sun still far from being swallowed by the horizon, I immediately suggest that we take to the rooftop. And we did.

We watched the skyline in its glory: the city buildings from afar slowly illuminated themselves and boasted its urban jungle façade, and the sky slowly shifted from a burning orange to a vibrant lilac revealing a bit of the stars and the full moon in turn as the winds proceeded to breeze through us more than often. It was a chilly evening, but with her right beside me, it felt cozy. Damn, I wish we could’ve brought some drinks up here. Cunningly, I put my arms around her for an embrace. She instantly notices this and responds by opening her arms to welcome me. This is the first time we’ve held each other like this and it went on for several minutes before we decided to let go. We looked into each other’s eyes and realized that we really do feel the same: we really do want to be here right now with each other, and that we want each other.

“This is it,” I whisper. “This is all I could ever ask for. Thank you, Amy.”

“I love you, Ollie,” she whispers back. “Stay with me forever.”

“I-I love you too, Amy. I’ll be with you forever.”

“Please be mine.”

“Even right now, I’m all yours.”

We shared a kiss as we exchanged our vows like that. The pace was slow, and we kept it that way just to prolong it. We no longer gave a damn whether people could see us from up here. We didn’t care— all that mattered was being in each other’s arms. However, we didn’t give up the chance of being able to witness the sun set together. Even as the sun was out of sight, its rays still trying to reach out just to be seen. But with its departure came the moon’s chance to shine. The stars alighted and made themselves known. We discussed about constellations for a while but there wasn’t much of a moment for it since stars were barely visible in the cityscape. After that, I shared my goal of being able to bring someone up here.

“Someone special?” She asks.

“Yeah, and the dream has finally come true,” I answer.

We enjoyed bathing in both moonlight and starlight before finally deciding to descend back onto earthly perceptions of having to look for sustenance.

“Ugh, I didn’t notice my hunger with all that. I usually eat as often as I can.”

“Doesn’t seem that way,” I reply. “It’s not like we can eat when we’re at the library.”

She gives me a slap on the shoulder even as she clings close to me. “That’s because I eat before going to the library.”

“Ow,” I wince in faked pain. “Look at you, showing your violent side right after the peaceful times.”

“Shut it,” she sticks her face on my upper arm and clenches my hand.

“Right! That reminds me...”

She’s surprised to see me suddenly react like that. How adorable...

“What are we now?” I ask as we make our way outside the apartment.

“We’re... lovers.”

“Girlfriend and boyfriend?”

“Y-Yes...” she answers while continuing the act of shielding her face using my arm.

“A dinner date with my girlfriend,” I whisper, again making sure that it’s audible enough for her to hear. My objective is achieved as she tightens her grip on my hand. We chose to go for the fast food option just so we can go back to my unit immediately after buying.

“Are we splitting the bill now?” I ask. “Or like, I can just pay for it all, really...”

“No,” she sternly answers. “I believe I made it clear that I will be paying for everything.”

“Eh... alright. I’m not gonna engage in an argument about that,” I chuckle.

After reaching home, she decides to ask me why my family seem to be conveniently missing.

“Are you actually living alone?”

“No, I can’t do that just yet. Like I said, they went to the other house we have for a week. I didn’t go because school is closer here than there.”

“Point taken. That just means we have to make the most of tonight, then.”

After having dinner, we chill out for a few minutes listening to tunes that we fortunately liked. Most of it were just chill and easy to listen to, nothing too much to make you feel as if the world’s falling apart or against you. Finally finishing our beverages, she takes advantage of little old me relaxing on the couch. She faces towards me as she seats herself on my lap.

“You know, you’re awfully clingy,” I remark as we put our arms on each other. “I did not expect that from you.”

“You don’t like it?” She asks, her tone slowly sinking.

“I do. Please continue,” I answer as I give her a kiss on the cheek.

Her eagerness returns and she proceeds to give me kisses from my forehead to my cheeks and then to my lips. It then surprised me as she went for my neck.

“H-Hey, you sure you wanna do that?”

“Yeah. Why?”

“Uh, yeah. I’m gonna get turned on if you do...”

“You’re not turned on yet?”

What a tease.

“You wanna take this somewhere else?”

She smirks.

“I thought you’d never ask.”

We entered the bedroom while carefully making our way to the bed as we made out. She maneuvers around me so that I’ll be the one falling to the bed first.

“I want to lead, is that alright with you?”

“Yea—”

“No, that’s a rhetorical question.”

She takes off her clothes and dumps her shirt on my face. I put it just beside the pillow and proceed to strip as well. The contact of our bare skin, while familiar, feels even more stimulating since we’ve craved for it to happen again.

“You know, I couldn’t stop thinking about you ever since that day. I did my best to be distracted.”

“I do realize that now. I’m also amazed at how well I kept my thoughts in check even tho—”

Amy kisses me before I could finish my sentence. Rude, but it’s something welcome. She did convey that she’d already done her best to hold it in. And now that we’re all alone together, she wouldn’t just let the opportunity slip away so easily. Now that we’re both bareback, every single contact is just pure pleasure. The way we shuffle through the bedsheet and the way we match each other’s pace while making out served to be akin to a hypnotic ritual. I only noticed that she was already putting it in when it was already inside of her.

“We’re doing it raw?”

“Shut up and let me feel you raw.”

The night went on with us doing the deed unprotected. Now that’s not something I promote— by all means, commit to protected sex— but this was an exception that couldn’t be helped. It’s not like I don’t want to know how it feels...

“Ollie... Don’t worry too much, okay? I’m on the pill...”

Saying those words only enabled me losing control of myself. I let her take the lead for now, but in the consecutive times we alternated. After being satisfied with about five rounds, we finally pass out together on my bed, not bothering to wear anything to cover us. Just the blanket seemed to be enough.
