Chapter 14

Waking up, I stared at the ceiling wondering how I managed to reach this room which I know is Xavier’s.

Did that Devil carried me up here?

Why did he bring me to his room? There are hundreds of other rooms in this house he could have taken me to one of them or much better to Ace’s room but why did he had to bring me here. If I slept in here..then where did he sleep?

Don’t tell that bear slept beside me.

“Good morning, Angel.” I heard the Devil say and turned to see a showered, water dripping, wet haired Xavier walk out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around his waist.

Can this get anymore cliche?!

I let out a squeal and turned around in the bed and covered my head with the comforter.

“Aww, Angel. Don’t be shy. You can look if you want. I don’t mind.”

“Go away! Have you got no shame?”

“Nah. Can’t do. Come on. Just one peek. I will even remove this towel for you so you can assess me from head to toe.”

“Nooo! Don’t. Just go away!” I yelled and curled myself under the comforter. Why is serious Xavier acting goofy now?

“There. Now the towel is also gone. You can now appreciate this body without any barriers.
Come on, stop hiding.” He said and I felt the bed dip.

“No. Get away, you pervert. Get your naked ass away from me.” I yelled and scooted to the end of the bed.

“Aww, don’t be like that.” He said and tried to pull the comforter off me and I struggled in pushing him away.

“No. Don’t. I don’t wanna see your ‘thing’. Get your body off me.” I said feeling him hovering over me.

“You have to. Let go of the comforter.”

“No!” I said and struggled more but the Asshole managed to pull it away and I closed my eyes tightly.

“Open your eyes, Love.” He said softly and I shook my head negatively.

“No.” I mumbled.

One peek wouldn’t harm right?

And it’s not like I have to look at his ‘thing’. I will just look into his eyes and tell him to screw himself!

I opened my eyes slowly and then gazed at him. I let my eyes wander a bit lower..

“You should have seen your face.” A fully dressed Xavier said laughing uncontrollably.

“You are not naked!”

“ sound disappointed. I can remove my clothes if you want.” He teased and I repeatedly hit him with the pillow.

“Stop it, Woman.” He said trying to grab the pillow from me.

“No!” I said stubbornly and continued to hit him. He snatched it out of my hand and then to my horror started tickling me.

“No.. hahha..stop..haha...”

“Mamma..Daddy?” I heard Ace call and soon felt him climb on the bed but even then his father didn’t stop cruelly trickling me.

“Ace...tell..hahah..him to stop..please.”

“Daddy, stop tickling her.”

“No.” The Devil replied.

“I...can’t breathe..” I said and acted as I was fainting which was a struggle as I couldn’t stop laughing.

“Daddy, you are killing her.” I heard Ace yell and soon Xavier stopped tickling me and slowly pat my cheeks to wake me up.

“Angel..” He called softly but I remained quiet and kept my eyes closed.

“Angel, open your eyes.”

“Mamma, wake up..please..”

“Eva, you are scaring us. Baby, please open your eyes. I’m sorry..”

“Mamma..” Ace whimpered which broke my heart.

“Boo!” I yelled and snapped my eyes open all of a sudden making them flinch back out of shock.

“Mamma!” Ace called and jumped into my arms. I now feel so much guilty for scaring him.

“Ace, it’s okay. I’m fine.” I said held him close as he clung onto me.

“That was not funny. You scared the shit out of us. You know we can’t bear the thought of losing you.” Xavier said angrily and I removed one of arm from around Ace and used it to throw a pillow at his face.

“No cursing infront of Ace. And..I’m..sorry. I shouldn’t have gone that far. Sorry.” I said and he let out a sigh before coming closer and engulfing both me and Ace in his arms.

“Just don’t do that again.” He said and I nodded at him.

“Ace..I’m sorry..” I said and slowly pulled away wanting to see his face. I felt like beating myself seeing tears in his eyes. Without any word he got out of the bed and walked out of the room.

“Shit.” I cursed out.

Why am I feeling like crying see the tears in Ace’s eyes and the way he walked out?

“He is just shocked. He will come around. Don’t worry.” Xavier comforted and I gave him a small nod. I then walked out of the room hoping to find Ace. I can’t have my little munchkin upset with me.

“Ace, please forgive me.” I said to him upon seeing him sit on his bed.

“Ace, I’m sorry. I acted stupid.”

“Ace, please talk something. Please, Ace.” I said kind of desperately and sat on my knees infront of him and he slowly looked at me. My heart clenched at his teary face.

“Mamma...” And then for the second time in the day he jumped on me. I stood up with him in my arms and mumbled ‘sorry’ over and over.

“I hugged you didn’t I? It means I forgave you. Stop apologising.”

“Thank you.” I said and kissed his head.

“Why am I always left out of hugs and cuddles?” I heard Xavier mumble and Ace laughed at this. The loving gaze of Xavier’s towards his laughing son was heart touching. And now I knew how to use the ‘one week of making Xavier obey me ’ well.

I’m going to bring you father and son closer. I promise.

“Ace, you have school. Go get ready.” Xavier reminded making Ace groan out.

“I don’t want to go.” Ace mumbled.

“No, Ace. Education is important. You have to learn to have a good future. There are millions of poor children’s out there whose dreams are to go to school but they are not able to. We are lucky enough to get the opportunity so don’t waste it. And you want to be successful like you father, don’t you? And for that you have to get educated. So little one, you got to go to school.”

“Okay, Mamma. I want to make you and Daddy proud and for that I will.” He said with determination.

“Good boy.” I said and kissed his forehead making him blush at the compliment.

“I will get ready then.” Ace said and I placed him down.

“Ace, you usually get ready by your own, don’t you?”

“Yes, Mamma. I’m a big boy so I can get ready on my own.”

“Hmm..but today you are Daddy’s little boy so your Daddy over here will help you get ready. He will help you bath, dry your hair, dress you up and even help to put on your shoes and will also pack your bag for you. That’s the task that I’m giving him for now. So please let him do it.”

“Okay..” Ace replied hesitantly.

I looked at Xavier to see if has got anything to say and was pleased to him give me a small smile instead of protesting.

“Well then I will let you both to your own and will cook breakfast.” I said and walked out of the room.

I hurriedly made waffles and juices once I entered the kitchen and also prepared and packed lunch for Ace. I then returned to Ace’s room to see the father-son interaction.

“Woah, Ace. You look so cool with this hairstyle.” Xavier said looking at Ace’s wet and ruffled up hair. They were both standing infront of the mirror and Xavier was running his hands through Ace hair and styling it while Ace stood on a chair posing at the mirror with only a towel wrapped around his waist.

Like father, like son.

“Do you think Mamma will like it?”

“I think she will love it. She loves everything about you.”

“She does?”

“She surely does.” I said making my presence known.

“So you love me?” He asked hopefully.

“Is that even a question? Of course I love you. Very much even.” I said and walked towards them and once again Ace jumped to me and I caught him laughing. I twirled us around making him laugh along with me.

“Now, go to your Daddy so that he can help you with the uniform.” I said and handed Ace to Xavier.

I sat on Ace’s bed and silently watched their interaction with a smile on my face.

“Done.” Xavier said ten minutes later and stood next to a smiling Ace.

“How much mark do you give your Daddy, Ace?”

“10/10.” Ace said making Xavier grin proudly.

“Good job, Mr. Whilson.”

“Thank you, Angel.”

“Breakfast is ready and is served. I will join you guys after having a quick shower.”

“We will wait for you to have breakfast.” Xavier said and I objected but the stupid man was stubborn and so I had an extra quick shower and once again had to wear Xavier’s clothes.

After breakfast Xavier insisted that I go with them in in his car rather than mine. He ensured that he will have it dropped by my office later on and so I gave in.

“Here is your lunch, Ace. You should eat them all, Okay?”

“You made lunch for me?” Ace asked shocked.

“Yeah. I don’t want you to remain hungry or have the school food. And yes, I have also packed snack for you which you should have during the break time. No wasting okay?”

“Okay. Thank you so much, Mamma. I love you.” He said kissed my cheek.

“You are welcome. Love you too. Let’s leave now or else you will be late for school.”

We first stopped by my house for me to change and then we went to Ace’s school.

“Be a good boy okay?” Xavier said and Ace nodded in reply. Xavier kissed his son’s forehead and then let him down from his arms infront of his classroom.

Their relationship sure had some progress.

“Mamma..kiss.” Ace said pointing at his forehead. I smiled at this and placed warm kisses on his forehead and either cheek.

“See you soon, Little one.”

Xavier then drove to my office and we had small chats in between.

“Bye. See you later.” I said as we reached.

“Thank you.”

“What for?”

“For everything.”

“Huh?” Xavier however didn’t say anything more. He smiled at me and drove off only to appear during lunch demanding me to go out to have lunch with him.

“Okay. Okay. Let me just finish with this.”

“You can finish that off later. I’m hungry.”

“Fine.” I huffed out knowing he wouldn’t hesitate to drag me out.

After lunch I expected him to leave but no. The Devil made himself comfortable in my office while I worked.

“Don’t you have work to do and an office to return to?”

“Whatever you say. Now that you are here tell me which one is better. I have already made few designs for the halls and bedrooms. You may choose what you like the most.”

And that’s how we spent the rest of the office hours. We both discussed on the designs and I made some minor changes in them as I deemed fit and Xavier was pleased with them.

“They are perfect. I can’t wait for our home to look like that.”

“Do you think Ace would like it?”

“Definitely. I mean he already likes everything related to you and so he would surely like them as it was you who made them. Come on, let’s go. It’s actually time to pick him up.”

“I will come in my car so that I can directly go to my home from there.”

“I still haven’t had the driver bring your car here. Sorry.” He said not sounding sorry at all. I elbowed him and then walked ahead of him making sure to send a deadly glare in his way.

“You are so abusive.”

“Want a punch?”

“No, I’m fine. Thank you.” He said quickly making me chuckle.

“Mamma, Daddy!” Ace called out while running towards us as soon as we got out of the car. Both Xavier and I sat on our knees and soon he hugged both of us wrapping each of his arm around us. I blushed when I noticed people were watching us and slowly tried to pull away but Ace wasn’t having any of it. Even when Xavier picked him up he had an arm wrapped around my neck.

“How was school?” Xavier asked while we were walking towards the car.

“It was boring. I already knew everything about whatever the teacher was teaching.”

“Isn’t our son smart, Angel?” He asked while I was busy checking Ace’s lunch box and I hummed absentmindedly.

“You had finished your lunch and snacks. Good boy.”

“They were tasty. I loved them. Can you make my lunch everyday? Please?” Ace asked with a pout looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

How can anyone say no to that?

“Sure. I will send them to your school.” I said and he nodded with a smile.

“Why can’t you just stay with us, Mamma?” He asked and I gaped at him in shock.

“Because then I would miss my home.” Was the excuse I gave and looked at him with a sad pout and seeing that he didn’t ask further about it.

“So you guys want anything to eat before heading home?”

“Ice cream.” Both Ace and I yelled out together.

“Ice cream it is then.”
