Chapter 1: Accidentally on Purpose

I looked at myself in the mirror. I hope I can get through my senior year of high school peacefully without any problems.

I was enjoying my life with my besties at a club. We were at the club, Sophia, my best friend, was working part-time as a waitress. I was in the washroom with my other best friend, Kara, touching up my makeup.

Suddenly, Sophia came running into the washroom. She looked upset. I wondered what has gotten her worried now. You see, she is a total softie, who gets troubled easily.

“What happened Sophia, why do you look upset.” I asked her.

She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.

“Come on, you know you can talk to me about anything.”

“I- I was delivering the drinks to a table, wh- when a guy sitting there dropped his lighter and asked me to p- pick it up…” She started while dissolving into tears again.

“Then? Then what happened Soph?”

“Th- then, when I bent down to get it, h-he groped me. He grabbed my butt.”

She started sobbing again.

“That little piece of- Doesn’t know how to behave with women. Perhaps, I should just go ahead and collide my fist with his neck.” Said Kara flaring up.

“Calm down dude. I don’t think we can do that even if we want to.” This girl can be really scary when she’s angry.

“You don’t worry Soph, I will show him what he gets for misbehaving with women.” I said.

“Here wipe your tears and come with me”. I said handing her a tissue.

We came out of the washroom, and I asked her to show me who the guy was.

“He is the one in the brown jacket with fur collar. Sitting beside the pillar next to the dance floor. The clean shaved one.” Said Sophia.

“Hmm, I see him. That jerk. Wait till I show him what he gets for messing with my friend.” I said.

I need to make a plan. He should get what he deserves.

Hmm…... YES. That’s it.

“Sophia, I need you to get me a tray of drinks.” I told her.

“What are you going to do, Tess?”. Sophia asked.

“Just listen to me, you’ll see in a minute.”

Sophia handed me a tray of drinks and I made my way to that jerk.

When I was heading towards him, he looked up.

Oh my God. His eyes, it’s so beautiful. And his face is so well made, his chiselled jawline and… Oh Gosh. His Adam’s apple.

I don’t know why, but I find Adam’s apple very attractive. Not all kinds, but the perfectly made ones, not too big and not too small.

But why do I feel like I’ve seen him before?

Okay, you’ve got to focus. You’re here to get revenge on the jerk who misbehaved with your bestie, not to gawk at him.

I moved forward, looking casual and when I was beside him, I purposely tripped and dropped the tray of drinks onto him. HAH.

“Oh my God, I’m so sorry.” Not Sorry

“What the Hell? Are you blind? Can’t you see where you’re going?” He barked.

“I told you I’m sorry, it is my fault that I didn’t see a huge piece of trash sitting here.”

“Excuse me?”

“This is what you get for misbehaving with women, and especially my friend.” I spat and walked away.

I walked back towards my friends. Sophia had a look of shock on her face. I bet she didn’t expect that.

“See Soph, I told you right, he’ll get what he deserves.”

“You got the wrong person.” She mumbled

Huh? What is she talking about? Wait what?...

“What do you mean? Don’t tell me that I…….” I stuttered.

“Mhmm… That’s exactly what you did girl.” Chuckled Kara.

“Wait a minute..., so you’re telling me that I dropped a tray of drinks on a guy who did nothing to me, and I walked away after insulting him. Because I got the wrong guy?”

“Yep.” Said Kara and Sophia in unison.

“What do I do now?” I asked.

“Well, right now what you can do is either find the guy and apologize or enjoy your night like nothing happened.” Said Sophia.

“You think I can face him after doing that?” I turned to look at him, but he was not there anymore.

“I don’t think I can enjoy the night anymore. Let’s just go home. Sorry for ruining the night guys.”

“It’s alright. Come on, I’ll drive you home.” Said Kara.
