Chapter 1
Samantha Nicole carter was fifteen years old and was going to her first rodeo in
Kentucky. She and her horse, Moon, a black quarter horse mare, had been practicing for years. Meanwhile on the other side of the world lived Logan, a sixteen-year-old girl who'd been practicing to compete in roping on her horse, Mugsy, an Appaloosa. Five months later sam had finally gotten to the rodeo after five days of driving with her horse. She had gotten moon settled in his pasture he would be staying at the rodeo and had left with his bucket to get him some water. Sam had accidentally bumped into a girl leading a beautiful appaloosa and fell over. “I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there!” Sam apologized frantically. “It's alright, I'm Logan.” said the girl leading her horse as she stuck her hand out to help sam up. “Sam,” she replied. “Pretty name, darling,” Logan said matter of factly before she walked off with her horse. Sam was flustered but continued off to get moon water.
