Everything Changed That Spring

Gilmore Girls. That’s what Scott was doing with his Friday night. Watching Gilmore Girls. He wished he could say he was trying to get laid. Instead he was watching simply because it was Natalie’s favourite show. She never missed an episode. She’d actually cancelled a few dates to watch it instead. Tonight Scott had finally decided to see what it was all about. So far he was completely lost, and he hadn’t understood one of the pop culture references.

“I thought this was about a mother and daughter.” He said to Natalie.

“It is.”

“They haven’t had one scene together.”

“They’re fighting right now.”

“Because Rory dropped out of Yale.”

“Right.” He nodded. “Who’s that guy?”

“Logan.” Natalie replied, rolling her eyes.

“Do we not like him?”

“He’s fine.” She said, snuggling close to his side. He dropped his arm from the back of the couch and wrapped it around her, tracing light circles around her shoulder. She snuggled closer, her hand tightening around his T-shirt for a moment before she elbowed his hand away from her shoulder. “Stop doing that.”

“Because I’m trying to watch.”

“Am I distracting you?” He asked, dropping his hand lower so it lightly brushed against the side of her breast. She trembled in his arms, making him feel like the king of the world.

“You know perfectly well what you’re doing.” She said, shifting so his hand was safely away from any areas that might set her off. She was naive to think that’d stop him, and he brought his hand back, eager to distract her some more.

Like a bolt she shot up, jumping off of him and sitting straight up on the couch. Panic filled his gut and his mind traced over the last few minutes, trying to figure out what had happened. Had he done something wrong? Had he made her uncomfortable? Had he…

“Oh my god.” She exclaimed, her voice loud, interrupting his internal monologue. “Oh my god.” She squealed in delight, smiling from ear to ear, her eyes glued on the screen. Okay he was definitely missing something. “It’s Jess. Oh my god Jess is back.” She squealed again, barely able to contain her excitement as she bounced in her seat.

Then all of a sudden she got serious, leaning forward to see better as the show carried on, the goofy grin on her face not wavering for a second. Scott tried to pay attention, see what all the fuss was about, but he just didn’t get it. What was so exciting about some guy writing a book?

For the rest of the episode Natalie’s eye were completely glued to the screen. She didn’t even notice whenever he ‘accidentally’ touched her. She just watched, and when that Jess character, whoever he was, popped back up she squealed again, happily taking it in as Jess yelled at Rory for dropping out of Yale. And just like that, Rory realised her mistake and called her mom, ending the feud Natalie had tried to explain to Scott.

“Of course it was Jess.” Natalie gushed. “Of course he was the one to get through to her. Oh Jess. I love him.”

“Careful there, I’ll start to get jealous.”

“Oh, you should be jealous.” She said. “If I had a Jess in my life you wouldn’t stand a chance.”

“Now there’s a confidence booster if I’ve ever heard one.” He replied, kissing her on the nose before getting to his feet to grab a snack.

“I love you.”

The words stopped him dead in his tracks, hitting him, hard, harder than anything ever had. She loved him. He hadn’t thought about it much, hadn’t sat around analysing his own feelings. Instead he’d pushed them away every time they tried to surface. He didn’t want to admit it to himself, have it hang over him, slip out accidentally only for her to not say it back. Now he didn’t have to think about it. He knew. He knew with absolute certainty that he loved her too. He may even love her more than he loved anyone else.

He turned, facing her. She sat on the couch, staring up at him, vulnerable, waiting for him to react. His legs carried him to her before his brain even registered what they were doing, and then he was kissing her, starting at her lips, then trailing down her neck, kissing hungrily as he let the emotion finally take over.

He lifted her up, practically throwing her into the air and she let out a gasp of surprise as gravity brought her down into his arms with a thump. Then he was kissing her again, carrying her to her room, thanking god her mother was out right now.

He threw her onto the bed, shutting the door behind them before reaching for her dress.

“These sundresses drive me fucking insane.” He rasped, pulling it over her body and throwing it on the floor. He kissed her mouth, her neck, the tops of her breasts, her stomach. A growl sounded from his chest, and he brought his hands to her hips, playing with the elastic of her briefs before gently tugging them down.

“Scott.” She breathed, her chest rising and falling rapidly as his hand settled between her legs. He easily slipped a finger inside, and her breathing only grew louder as he touched her in just the right spot. “No. I want…” She sat up, his hand slipping away as hers found the button of his jeans. “I want you. All of you.”

God, he wasn’t going to make it. She was too much. Fucking perfect. God he loved her. Her hands trembled as she undid the button, and he helped her take off his jeans, grabbing the condom he’d started keeping in the pocket ever since that jersey striptease she’d done a few weeks ago.

Her eyes went wide as he tore open the packet, and she bit her bottom lip, nervous with anticipation.

“Can I?” She asked once he had the condom free.

He struggled to form words, he wanted nothing more than for her to do it, but he wasn’t sure he’d be able to keep it together if she did. Before he could reply she took it from him, gently sliding it across his length. He closed his eyes, concentrating on breathing, slow and steady, he couldn’t lose it yet, not yet.

He was concentrating so hard he didn’t even realise she’d finished putting the it on. It was only when she kissed him again, her lips gentle against his, that he snapped out of his trance. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and slowly pulled him down so he lay on top of her. He took a moment to admire her naked body, her beautiful naked body that he never tired of seeing. He lowered himself over her, and kissed her again, long, slow, hungry, letting everything he felt flow from his lips.

Her legs fell open, and gently he eased himself inside, filling every inch of her. She let out a loud gasp as he broke through the barrier, and when she settled he began to move, slowly at first and then harder, her hips drawing him in deeper, pulling him close to the nirvana he was heading towards.

“Scott.” She breathed, a moan escaping from her beautiful plum lips. “Oh Scott. Scott. Oh my god. Why weren’t we doing this sooner?”

Her hips buckled beneath him, and she threw her head back, each hitch of her breath driving him more and more insane. He was close, so close, her body hugging him like a glove, consuming him better than his hand ever would.

“I love you.” The words ripped from his throat as he reached his climax, exploding inside of her. “God Natalie, I love you.”

The world faded away, his vision blurring as waves of pleasure took over, sending him to a state of bliss so much stronger than anything he’d ever felt before. Nothing, nothing had ever been this good.

Slowly everything came back into focus, and he became aware of Natalie, squashed beneath him, still breathless as she recovered from her own release.

“And I thought you were good with your mouth.” She said laughing. He laughed right along with her, rolling onto his back. She curled into his side, and he wrapped his arms around her waist, loving the feel of her naked body against his.
