Not a date

You may ask who chose this restaurant and I will tell you I did. We wanted a place that is quiet and nice where we could hear each other. I went there before with one of my friends and there were barely anyone there.

"Your dad is asking if you changed your mind?" My mother asked as I was applying my make up on.

"Change my mind about what?" I asked as I tried to focus on blending because if you don't blend well, you will just end up looking like a clown.

"About giving up your family for a man you don't even know." She said teasingly and I sighed.

"No, I didn't change my mind." I rolled my eyes and got my mascara now. I love my lashes so much. "I fucking hate my acne, I want it gone!" I groaned and shook my head as I tried to hide it once again.

"Didn't you say you will go to the doctor and try this final treatment for it?" Mum asked as she came beside me to check how I look.

"Yeah, I won't. The doctor said I cannot have babies for a year if I take it and it is already a six month course so I can't risk it." I shrugged and she frowned.

"Okay, you had been depressed and hating how you look like because of your skin and once you found the solution, now you will give it up because of him?" She asked me shocked.

"Yeah, basically." I nodded and got my lipstick.

"Kitten, you need to slow down a bit. You can't give everything up when you didn't even meet this guy. I don't want you to get too attached to him when you don't know what the future hold." She said. Too late, I am already head over heels with this one. He is definitely my soulmate.

"Don't worry, I totally understand what you are saying, but he feels the same way." I shrugged and looked back in the mirror. "I just hope he accepts me the way I am." I said nervously.

"You are absolutely beautiful..... I still can't believe that you are going on your first date after all these years and there is a guy you actually like." She said.... actually tearing up.

"Mum, it's not a date. It is just a casual meeting where we are trying to get to know each other." I pointed out to her and breathed in. "You didn't get to live teenage time where I get crushes so now you get to catch up, but don't worry, he is the only one forever." I grinned before I went to put my shoes on.

"Are you nervous?" My sister asked and I shook my head.

"No, I am totally fine." I said and she was surprised. I don't know why does everyone expect me to be nervous. I was chill.

To be honest, I was just extremely excited to see him in person and have those conversations we share online face to face. It was going to be absolutely fun time.

We had to stay in touch throughout the way to know when the other arrived. Apparently we were passing the same road signs and I just had to look around as if I will catch a glimpse of him in one of those cars before I meet him behind the mall.

"Okay, I arrived. Where are you?" I asked him as I passed the security check at the mall. So far so good, I just felt excited.

"I actually didn't arrive yet. I am still in the car, about to head to the parking." He informed me and I had to groan mentally. "Just go to the restaurant and wait there."

"Dude, no. You have to be in there waiting for me so I get to walk in slow motion. We have spoken about this. I will just walk around until you are in there and call me once you are in. I will pretend that this wasn't planned at all. Act surprised when you see me and I will pretend you weren't late." I stated to him.

"I am not late, I am just parking my car!" He said and I just knew he was rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, you are late. Just move quicker." I told him before we hung up.

"Let me take some pictures of you. I want to have the pictures of you on your first date." My sister said excitedly.

"It's not a date." I rolled my eyes. How many times do I have to stress on this?! They keep calling it a date as if I would go on a date with someone and drag my sibling on it.

We had taken pretty good pictures and I must admit that I felt absolutely comfortable. I answered the phone pretending that I am totally surprised. "Okay Kitten, I arrived. You can come now." He said sighing and I grinned.

"Oh wow, really? Sorry for being late. I will be right there." I said dramatically before I hung up and I led my sister to where the restaurant is... or was.

"Where is it?" My sister asked confused.

"It is right here where the construction is at." I pointed out. Fuck. "Don't panic, we will figure it out." I told her as I started to get nervous. I immediately pulled my phone out to call him.

"I am not panicking. I don't care." She said casually.

"Wolf, help! I am lost." I said panicking on the phone. "Come and get me!" I told him almost in tears.

"What about your huge entrance?" He asked me confused.

"Dude, I am lost. I don't know where the restaurant is at. Just come find me!" I said and then sighed because he was right. "Okay, just describe to me where to go. I can see stairs." I told him vaguely.

"Get to the fountain." He began to instruct me and I followed. "I am standing outside now, you will find big stairs, the restaurant is at the top. I am wearing a purple shirt." Wolf told me and I began looking till I found him.

"Oh found you, I saw you!" I said excitedly.

"Really? Where are you? I can't see you." He said as he looked around.

"It's fine, it's fine. I got you, bye!" I said hanging up as I cut his 'No wait'

"Is that him? Why is he dressed like a businessman?" My sister asked and now panic started to hit.

"Shit, why is he dressed so seriously? This is too serious. I am scared..." I started to panic.

"Hey, it's a good thing. He is dressed formally like businessmen. Businessmen are good. They are responsible." She tried to calm me as she led me towards the restaurant. Now I spotted him sitting inside by the glass window with his sister. My heart could burst out of my chest.

"No, I can't do this. Let's leave!"
