Spin off 1

Hi,

I just got this old draft of a spin off that I wrote three years back. It’s in third Pov. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Xavier looked up at the night sky from his terrace to see the stars twinkling and shining brightly. He felt a presence behind him and instantly knew from the familiar fragrance of his wife Angela. “Your coffee” she handed him his favourite coffee.

He smiled and took the coffee mug from her feeling grateful. “What are you doing up here? It’s freezing!” she exclaimed as she rubbed her palms together shivering, feeling the chilly wind touching her skin.

“You Cold?” Xavier asked looking at her state to which she just shook her head no, smiling. “Come here!” he asked her by holding the coffee mug in his one hand and stretching the other one asking her to get closer to him. She obliged and walked into his arms.

He wrapped his arms around her body and felt her cold skin against his warm palm. “You are cold! Let’s get in!” he said and both of them walked inside the warm house and they went to the living room where the room heater was on. Angela was relieved to get in.

“So? What are you thinking?” she asked once she saw him relaxed and sipping from his coffee. “Nothing! What made you think that I am thinking something?” Xavier asked amazed at how his wife is noticing his every single movements of him. Angela smiled at this.

She took the loose strands of her hair that was falling on her face and twirled it between her finger before tucking it behind her ear. Xavier looked at her quiet behaviour and shook his head smiling. “I know that you have found out about it” he blurted out.

Angela looked up at him with a questioning look. “I know that you have already found out about the business deal and about my one month trip to Europe!” he said to which Angela bit down on her lips hard looking the other way trying to hide her emotions.

They were already married to each other for more than a year and yet it feels as if he had got to know her just yesterday. He loved her from the bottom of his heart and the mere thought of her getting hurt because of him made him go crazy.

Angela sat there playing with the hem of her black reversible riddler dress. “I was just going to talk about it!” she exclaimed nervously. She didn’t quite understand how her husband has find out that she already knew about the upcoming business trip.

It was his secretary Ron, who told Angela about the trip. Though it was unintentional but Xavier wanted to talk about it by himself to Angela. Xavier was really angry when he got to know that the most finest man of his company has managed to spill the secret.

But eventually he forgave Ron, and decided to talk about it with Angela when he gets back home from his office. “I am not going!” he said all of a sudden. Angela looked up at him steadily studying his facial features and expressions. “What?” she whispered.

“Why? I know its really important” Angela said once she registered that Xavier was being undoubtedly serious about not going in that trip. “Nothing is important to me than you” he said and closed his eyes as a horrifying memory came flooding into his mind.

Angela noticed his balled fists and instantly she knew that he was being haunted by the memories of John Winters who once abducted her in his absence wanting to satisfy his own perverted ill feelings towards her. It was one hell of an incident for Angela too.

Though that wicked man is no more alive in this world, but it still doesn’t change the fact that John still managed to scare her only by thinking about him. The topic was delicate to Xavier and the fact that someone tried to harm her made him go insane.

Angela knew that she had to move on in her life and Xavier too needs to move on. She got up from her seat and took a seat next to him on the lounge and held his balled fists releasing it from the tight grip. His hands were giant as compared to her small ones.

The mere touch of Angela soothed Xavier and he pulled her closer to him relieved that it was just a dark past. She was fine and was now sitting in encircled in his arms right next to him. He kissed the top of her head softly whispering how much he loved her.

Angela felt honoured to be blessed with a caring husband. He was a darling to her and like him she too loved him the most in this entire world and wanted nothing but to stay wrapped up in his arm’s protection. But as much as she wanted that she had to hold up.

She knew that the business was really important to Xavier’s company and because of her he was willing to slip it off his hands which she couldn’t let it happen. So she retreated back from his arms and stood up from the lounge. “I am going to pack your stuffs.”

She said and turned around to leave only to be stopped by Xavier. “I am not going!” he said as he held her forearm stopping her from leaving. “And I said you are going. It’s important, Xavier!” Angela said and tried to pry her hand out of his grip.

When she succeed in getting her hands free, she picked her phone up from the table and walked towards the direction of their bedroom. “I don’t want to go!” Xavier argued as he trailed after her like a puppy. She sighed at his stubbornness and shook her head.

She took out a cotton ball and a cleanser from the dressing table to wipe the makeup from her face. After she was done, she went inside the bathroom to wash her face and she came back all refreshed ready to pack her husband’s bag for the one month trip.

“Angel!” Xavier said and jerked her up towards him which made her gasp. All of a sudden, his mouth was on her kissing her passionately trying to make her give up on the idea but she knew it all. She got back to her senses and pushed him away, her lips swollen.

Xavier smirked seeing her swollen and red lips proud of his kissing tactics while Angela narrowed her eyes at him and she took the water bottle from the nightstand and gulped down the water feeling hot all of a sudden. Xavier never really seemed to amaze her.

He was always unpredictable. One second he was all aggressive and angry and the next moment he was the most sweetest and darling to her. His mood swings were even worst than her. Her pale skin had a tint of pink because of the way Xavier was now looking at her.

She made up her mind. Now it was her new resolution not to let Xavier touch her whenever they argue else she knew she would definitely lose her sanity if he goes on kissing her like that whenever they had an argument. She kept the bottle down and sighed.

She walked inside their walk-in-closet and took out the navy blue travel bag and kept it on the bed before opening it. “I am not going Angela!” Xavier exclaimed as he walked to her and tried to snatch the bag away from her. “Xavier!” she snapped.

“Angela!”

Both of them had a staring contest to which Angela won after Xavier’s phone rang and he had to get the call. It was from Dominic, Xavier’s best friend who was also joining Xavier in the one month trip. Angela was relieved that Dominic called at the right time.

She began to get his stuffs while he talked on his phone glancing at her way giving her narrowed eyes look seeing his stuffs being packed. Angela just smiled and mentally she made up a plan to make him agree on the trip.

A perfect sexy gift to him, from her.
