Drama / Romance

Blurb

Sebastian Harrison is now the leader of Harrison Incorporated--one of the most successful real estate and brokerage empires to have ever existed. And not only do the pressures of being a CEO get to his psyche but the memory of the fallout between him and Leslie King, his publicist, linger around him as well. Leslie has tried to make an effort to move on from her romantic feelings towards Sebastian and dysfunctional last meeting with him as well. She has a new job at a PR firm (thanks to Sebastian), has taken up new clients (one of them still being Sebastian) and has even started growing interest in someone else. Who happens to be a new business partner with Sebastian. Leslie and Sebastian soon realize that no matter what they do to move on from each other, their lives continue to intertwine with each others' after every move in the opposite direction. But, the new additions to their lives prove to be permanent residents that clash against each other with every step they take--regardless of if it's a step away or towards each other. And eventually, they learn that these new additions have dangerous and destructive influences.

PART I

I’ve always wondered what it’s like

what it’s like to be part of the other side of order

the other side of right. The other side of perfect.

who’s to say I was any of that ever, anyway?

my whole life has been centered around expectation.

my whole life has been centered around calm.

who is to say I was any of that ever, anyway?

now that I think about it, when have I ever been who I wanted to be?

when have I ever done what I’ve wanted to do?

when have I ever gone wherever I’ve wanted to go?

when have I not projected my dreams around the concerns of a man?

instead of a man projecting his dreams around the concerns of me?

i always say sorry. i always cry. i always give. what’s it like to not give a fuck?

what’s it like to do what I want to do

and go where I want to go?

what’s it like to be expectation’s antonym

and calm’s antagonist?

i want to visit the other side of order sometime

maybe that’s where I belong

maybe that’s where I’ll move on

maybe that’s where I’ll learn not to give a fuck.

Laraine Smith: My only suggestion on the grammar is to use www.grammarcheck.net. I have it bookmarked on Google Chrome. I see myself in the determination in this beautiful story! I have Cerebral Palsy, and I have dreams that I have been working hard for, too! The humor made me laugh!

zoheusher20: What more can I say? The writing style and little details drew me into the book and for the entirety of the story I was Juliet. I felt her turmoil and emotions and every trouble or triumph as they arrived. This story was very different and had quite a few little but unexpected twists that made it...

Katie: I absolutely loved this book, there was so much passion and love behind every character and their story. Everything about this book I loved, from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read more from you as an author. I highly recommend this book.

KerryMI: One would think the idea of vampire loving man has been over flogged, yet this story's fresh perspective on Vampires, how they live and how they connect with humans is so effortlessly narrated that it almost becomes truth. Your writing was fast enough to keep me greedily turning each page but slo...

William Elliott Kern: Long story, the plot uncovered midway through the story. From beginning, the story was fast moving. Then dragged on for quite some time. The Author was good in describing her characters, their clothing, etc. but a lot of that disclosure distracted from the story moving fast. Not withstanding, the...

Ro-Ange Olson: This is such a different romance story. I loved it. The book was very long and could be split into 2-3 books in my opinion, but I'd hate to have to wait to read the next part too. I loved the chapter from Darius's point of view. It was a really different way for the writer to cover time and also ...
