While it is often said that necessity is the father of invention, it is indeed an irony that some of mankind’s greatest technological advancements were born out of the human race’s propensity for power, greed, violence and destruction.
October 24, 1945 saw the birth of a global power called the United Nations in a bid to prevent yet another devastating world war. The world could ill afford a third global conflict which could wipe out the human race forever.
The steep increase in regional conflicts and terrorism during the late 22nd century followed by the collapse of a number of major world economies once again threatened to bring an end to civilisation.
January 1, 2201, the beginning of the 23rd century coincided with the birth of the United Earth Government, created by the United Nations in an attempt to bring about global stability. This fearsome force expeditiously carried out its objectives with extreme prejudice crushing all who dared stand in its way ushering in an era of oppression.
