Chapter 01: The Lonesome Boy

A lone male walked through the remains of an empty city. The city was large and vast, it used to be known for it's thriving life just like all the other cities on the planet. However ever since that day...most of humanity has vanished, this man doesn't know if there are others who are still here...He occasionally hears echos of the past where a bright civilization used to be at it's peak. Where children would play, and adults would work and make ends meet. Where a couple would be arguing about the most pointless things, now there's nothing but silence....this dark silence that haunts his life.He would occasionally see dark silhouettes of people far off in the distance but would come to realize that it was just his mind playing tricks on him.Knowing that he was utterly and entirely alone filled him to the brim with sorrow,he didn't know why he kept on moving why he continued to live,he just did simply following his instincts now. This city was empty a dense white fog has covered most of it.There are some glowing particles floating through the air like dust,it's not known what they are but they seem to be harmless, maybe a left over of what happened on the day when most of all living things disappeared? He wouldn't know....

This man has ice blue colored eyes that almost seem to radiate the sheer amount of will power he has.His silver gray hair was long and wild,a lot of people said it was in the style of your typical anime main character's bed head,it's coloring the result of a genetic mutation caused at birth,he was at the age of 17.He wore a black turtle neck military sweater, over it he wore a light all climate coat,it's coloring was white with black accents. He wore a pair of matching pants that went rather well with the coat, similar color scheme and effects. He had on a pair of black boots and gloves. He had a backpack slung over his shoulder that he used to carry supplies. He also had a Vector sub machine gun holstered on his opposite shoulder, the fire arm was positioned on the back side of his waist. Not that he's ever used it before. His right hand wrist was equipped with an odd bracelet, when activated it would display a holographic computer system that could be used for several occasions. He primary uses it for it's map , locating, and his most favorite discovery the internet function. When ever he stops and rest's he uses the internet function to learn of what the world used to be;He occasionally plays music off of it,so he could forget the dreading silence that was all around him, most of the time it just reminded him of it.Of course there are other functions in it but he hardly ever uses them.

The buildings were still in tact as was everything that the civilization made before him.In fact the buildings and nature seemed to coexist now in perfect harmony where plants would be growing off of them, it would still allow perfect use of the facility. He remembered that in the past wars would brake out so very often, he was afraid that war machines and such would still be active, still hunting for targets that there long missing leaders have ordered them to execute.Luckily for him he hasn't run into any as of yet.He decided to take a rest in front of a plaza, there were several things nearby, shops still filled with many things and such.As well as the subway entrance directly to his left.He activated the terminal on his wrist and decided what else he could search up, he remembered something about programs that acted a lot like real life people. These programs were referred to as A.I. they were digital clones of a person's mind and were used for many countless reasons. He decided to run a search on them, wondering if he could still find an active A.I. system. He discovered that there were several that were still active the closest one being in an apartment complex several miles away. He couldn't fathom why such a program would be inside a personal apartment room, but he'd rather not waste time and head towards there any way.

Ben Gauger: Kudos go to Liz Aguilar, author of To Have And to Hold a fast-paced, gripping, adrenaline rush from start to finish, one of perhaps the finest pieces of writing I've ever read, in particular because of its' telenovela-like feel, May she continually find success as an author. Bravo my dear, bravo!

Chris Rolfe: BOY!!! I sure love what Aer-Ki Jyr did with this series. IMHO he captured the essence of what stargate is all about. Thru out the Stargate stories Aer-Ki wrote Stevens and John Shepard some of the main characters in his stories are pursued by a corrupt I.O.A.. All the while Stevens is changing in...

Tanya Daigle Rusheon: This book is a long and twisty tale full of sweet romance, adorable fluff, anxiousness, trust issues, mind games, things that don't make sense until suddenly they do, heartache and reconciliation just when you need it the most. If that all sounds a bit vague, it's because I really don't want to s...

Janaki Sundararaman: The frame of the story has a beautiful structure on which the narration is spun with twists and turns tolook forward with lots of expectations about the coming chapters. There are many characters in the story line, all woven into intricate style to speak the story in its own way.The protagonist is ...

_JosephJacobson_: I don't understand why this has such low ratings. I really enjoyed it!I think that the whole idea behind the plot had something very special and that was something that I really enjoyed. It was new, unique. rajastreet: I enjoyed this piece! I loved the treatment of time and the premise! Some of the wording seemed a little out of place, but easily overlooked for a good a plot.

Steve Lang: I thought this story was imaginative, and well thought out. I also think it was an original piece, and not a rehash of previous scifi stories I've read in the past.Thank you for the effort put into this tale, and I look forward to reading more of your work!

cwoelk: I enjoyed reading this book, thought the characters were interesting, the premise exciting, and liked the happy ending.

aeratheninja: Interestingly enough, this story touches on different psychological states and was very informing, on top of being a solid story. Although somewhat predictable, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this; I could feel the fear and the frustration of the characters, and was happy when they were happy.Even ...

Ashley Stryker: So I'm writing this review, keeping in mind that this is a work in progress and it's part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), so my "deeper" critiques will be saved until it's all finished up.+ Chapter One: A stewardess would not talk to anyone quite like that, particularly a clear minor...

CookieMonster911: The story overall was an adventure that is appealing to any age. The way the characters develop adds a more human characteristic to the novel.
