The boy in the band

My friend dragged me to this concert one night. A few small bands were playing and then some artist I'd never heard of was headlining. The fact that I'd never heard of them was probably a good indication that they were good.

"Are you okay?" I heard. I looked up to see one of the guys from the band.

"Yeah. Shouldn't you be, erm, meeting and greeting?" I asked.

"They could be, you never know," I shrug.

"I do."

"You do? Already met yours then?"

"You see that guy over there?" He pointed at one of his bandmates. I think he was the singer but I wasn't sure.

"I'm gonna marry him." He said it with such certainty and pride I couldn't help but smile along with him.

He chatted to me for a minute, then his soulmate strolled over.

"You ready?" He asked putting his tattooed arm around the drummer.

"For anything," he smiled.
