True Origins of the Black Death

Chapter 1

One of the worst medical disasters in European History was the Bubonic Plague, also known as the Black Death.  It started in the Far East and traveled westward, killing millions on the way.  It reached Europe in 1347 and killed one third of the population in its initial bout.

It has been taught in schools for decades, but no one truly knows its origins.  It was a failed experiment by a nameless organization.  Their goal?  Create a pathogen that increases the abilities of the immune system.  What they created instead?  Something that attacks the immune system.

No one knows about this because in the "official" historical records, the technology to create super pathogens did not even exist then.  In truth, a lot of secret organizations were ahead of their times.

kim: This is great! Maybe it could just be a little more specific. One of the keys to great writing is describing things in detail. I think you're off to a great start. I wish you much luck.

Ayesha Shaikh: I love the twists. 😆I like how the writer describes everyone's point of view and the character development. I'm gonna read all the books by this author (current and upcoming). Melissa Davis: Interesting book and an enjoyable read. Had something different to it, that made me glad I picked it up.

Meri Amber: The plot is creative, fun and addictive! The writing is superb and the characters are really well put together. Definitely highly recommeded!

Andria M. Redlin-Author: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD-READ WITH CAUTION: The book was an enjoyable read overall, with many surprises I wasn't expecting. There were only a few things that bothered me: 1. There were times when the characters (mainly Opal and Lee) were talking too much, which got in the way of the action.. ...

Jasmine Chow: As I read this story, I was reminded some what of Terry Pratchett, especially some descriptions of politics and economics. The sci-fic setting is quite intriguing. Writing style is quite lovely and grew on me slowly. I was also slightly reminded of Mark Twain, especially his book A Connecticut Ya...

PaulSenkel: If you like Arthur C. Clarke's Odyssey, especially The Final Odyssey, then you will probably also enjoy this book. I definitely did.It does, however, address a more adolescent public than the above-mentioned book.I enjoyed the story and finished it in a few days. The overall situation on earth an...

SandraHan1: This story is very descriptive, with vivid scenes from the very beginning, which made for a good scene setting. I love the symbolism in names, such as “Naysayers”, “Hadd”, etc .
