Chapter 1

One of the worst medical disasters in European History was the Bubonic Plague, also known as the Black Death. It started in the Far East and traveled westward, killing millions on the way. It reached Europe in 1347 and killed one third of the population in its initial bout.

It has been taught in schools for decades, but no one truly knows its origins. It was a failed experiment by a nameless organization. Their goal? Create a pathogen that increases the abilities of the immune system. What they created instead? Something that attacks the immune system.

No one knows about this because in the "official" historical records, the technology to create super pathogens did not even exist then. In truth, a lot of secret organizations were ahead of their times.

Pindaro: Great premise and style - wasted endingWhile the story itself was more than entertaining I wouldn't have minded a less abrupt ending - maybe he could have kept his fake collar instead of trowing it away and he could have forced himself to join the herd, gradually giving up on any dream of rebelli...

Sarah Chartley: The e ding was unexpected but the last chapters set the scenes perfectly for the end to be possible. The only thing that needs to be changed is tbe rules around this universe because they lack some crucial elements to the making of a distopian world such as a control on informations and limitatio...

Stormie Stafford: This story had me at the edge of my seat at every turn. A great read and written so beautifully.

Lilitia: Despite cutting off your story halfway with a bunch of links (yes, I know, free copy if readers sign up for your newsletter, unsubscribe any time - but it's still inconvenient and perhaps unnecessarily puts readers backs up), I really enjoyed the plot and development so far. It's an unusual and in...

JZachReview: I have only started to read some of this, but it keeps you guessing. The story line is something that hides in the back of ones mind and that adds to the eerie feel of the Novel.. Look forward to reading more of this Novel and others. Thumbs Up!

Thessa: I love the plot of this story. Very beautifully written that you couldn't stop until your done. Maybe more details about the life of Tristan and Victoria. Also I would rather the ending be more realistic.. I thought it was unnecessary for her to see the old Tristan in the modern time from that li...

Anke Richters: Loved it! Your falling from one amazement in another throughout this book.Generally not really a fan of the constant changing POV's but it works for this book.Overall a must read!

ccsoutham: Great plot, character development, and structuring, but needs editing for gramma; that's easy- it is everything else that really makes a great sci-fi novel, and I can't put this one down. I would be more than happy to proof read your work! ccsoutham@yahoo.com.
