Prologue

Be careful what you wish for.

It's a statement I had never really thought about until all of this started. People spend their lives wishing to be something they are not.

I’m sure all of us have wanted to be more than human, to be something extraordinary. We've all heard the stories and seen the movies, superheroes are all the rage these days.

Quit wishing, quit wanting. Be happy with what and who you are.

I’m going to tell you my story, my side of the superhuman experience. It's had its ups and downs, but overall I just wish it had happened to someone else.

I'd give anything to go back to the way things were before all of this.

Power can heal, power can help, and power can destroy.

Power changes people, and not always in a good way.

I hope the mark I make on the world is positive, I hope as we stand together we can overcome those who only seek to hurt.

I know that I have caused a lot of pain, I know as we stand together we risk destroying everything.

Is it worth it?
