Summary

"I don’t believe she plans to cohabitate with them as we do. I think she wants to kill them all.” Earth is dying. Resources are dwindling and the air itself has to be synthesized. The groups sent out to find life are the last hope for the human race. They need a new planet and they need it fast. This time can't be like the others. This time they can't just take enough to get by. This time they need somewhere to stay. In the Cosmos, there has always been unity and peace. Each of the five planets needing one another to survive. Unlike Earth, magic is still alive and well. Some can change shape at will and others can summon the weather. When an outsider threatens them all, there is only one thing the five planets can do, stay united. For a galaxy that has always done that, it's easier said than done.

Prologue

“Earth could only dream of what was in space. For many decades we hoped for the discovery of a great unknown. We aren’t alone. We have never been alone. There is life out there, in many forms. The eldest of every world had long since passed away. Many millennia had come and gone, and many things had changed. The greatest of them all resided in the Cosmos.

These five worlds all revolved around on bright burning star called Nexus. The planets all had their own native tongues that was unique beyond anything we had ever heard. They communicated to each other with one common tongue to promote harmony. As long as anyone on these worlds could remember, war was an idea, but never considered. Each planet was so different, inhabited by completely different life forms. They all needed one another to survive. Without one there would be a crucial missing piece in their lives.

War has a way of twisting its way into even the best of societies though. The beings of the five planets soon realized that they were not the only ones in the massive universe. They learned that the others out there were not always as friendly as their neighbors. My name is Jimmy. Unlike the others, I didn’t want to do this to these creatures. We should have left, pretended we saw nothing or made alliances and left in peace. We could have stayed and coexisted with them. The year is 2118. This is my detailed account of the lives before we came and the lives we changed forever.”
