Chapter 26

Jennifer turned on the holo-computer for what seemed like the hundredth time that week. She searched endlessly for more information, but the majority of it had been deleted, reminding her of before the asteroid hit.

"Every time I look online to see something about the storm, every article has been deleted.”

The memory only induced anger in her. It was less about what happened before than what happened after. She hated Emily and Jake, whoever they were, more than anything else. Jennifer remembered Jake from when she had amnesia; he had tried to take her back to do more tests on her.

They did this to her. And she was going to get revenge. They were the reason she had amnesia, and they were the reason she was like this now.

Ben had called her back to the room that they both shared multiple times, but she wasn't tired. He gave up after a while, and Jennifer assumed that he just fell asleep. She didn't know what time it was, but the last time she checked, it was around 3:00 AM.

"I assume you didn't sleep well?"

"How did you know?"

"First of all, I've known you for 7 years, and also, it's 3:00 am."

"It's 3:00 am?"

She shook her head. No, she couldn't think about that now. Ben was the only thing that could hold her back, though she hated to admit it. For a brief instant, she didn't feel hatred anymore. She didn't want to.

The moment ended, and she continued to search once more, her energy never waning.

Then, finally, she found it. She smiled. It was the one thing she had been looking for. The one thing that would help her get revenge.

She found the location of Thunderstorm.
