The sands of truth
It was September 5, 2005. I was a green beret of the U.S Army, I was deployed to Iraq on a mission to assassinate a Al Qaida general of the name Abdullah Yusuf Azzam with five other green berets. We we're clearing out a village he was supposedly in, but then everything went dark, my ears were ringing and I couldn't feel my legs. When I woke up my legs were gone, the stumps that were left we're covered in blood stained bandages, I was tied to a chair in a dark room with two Al Qaida soldiers with AK-47 's staring at me, then the silhouette of another person came in through a door. It was Abdullah and he had a machete in his hand. He then went over to me, kneeled down so we were looking at each other face to face. He muttered something in Arabic and then said in English,
"You Americans are so gullible, we destroyed two buildings, you get emotional and here you are in my country trying to kill me. You weren't too smart about it were you. Don't worry, I'll make it so you'll never hurt anyone again." He then raised his machete and hacked at my right shoulder until my arm was completed severed from my body. I screamed with pain as blood hit the sandy floor. He then looked at my other arm and raised the machete again, but before he could continue, green berets came bursting through the windows of the building and started to shoot the Al Qaida soldiers, however Abdullah escaped. Before the other green berets could say anything to me, I passed out from blood loss. When I woke up, I was in a room that looked like something from a movie, there were suits that looked like they could have weighed tons. I sat and was startled to see I had some sort of bionic arm and legs. That's when he walked in, a tall and skinny man with a labcoat on. He then introduced himself,
"Hello, my name is William Near. I am a scientist of the A.M.F or Allied Military Forces, and I have something very important to tell you..."
