Blurb

A 14th century vampire, born from the ashes of darkness, delivers a horrifying truth into the world of religious conflict. He seeks his final act of revenge against the one who betrayed him: God. Shedding light onto a ground-breaking truth that will uproot the religious foundations on which we live, Roconn Romano finally reveals to the world the truth about God. Free will is just an illusion. The truth will shake the world.

Prologue

My name is Roconn Romano. I am a vampire, the very first of my kind, turned by the Devil itself. I have been forty-nine years old since the thirteenth of December, in the year one thousand three hundred and fifteen. I have a story to tell you, one that may shake the very foundations on which we live. I am going to reveal to you, the truth about God, who he really is. I’ve had many years to draw my conclusion, if you would but spare some of your time to hear my reasoning. It began many years ago, like you, I saw only the righteousness and the truth of my faith. I’d served my whole life as one of the Lord’s faithful servants. At the moment, as I sit at my desk, writing these words for you, my wife readies herself for the cinema. We are going to watch a film, yet another of my many depictions that have surfaced over the years. What I’m going to tell you will undoubtedly cause a lot of confusion, maybe anger. Some will call me a blasphemer, but I am going to tell you the true story, what really happened.

Sara Grover: Being that this is your first story and I assume first draft, a lot of little mistakes are common, we all have made them; little things like your instead of you're, missed capitalization, missing punctuation, etc. As for the plot, I have a lot of questions and I did leave comments on certain sect...

heavyreader: great scifi novels but needs a better spell checker (check auto-substitution level) and grammar checker!!! otherwise, ready for mass market publishing!!

TonyHeredia: I've been reading science fiction and fantasy for many years and I still don't think I've read a story like this before. It is realistic, lusty and techy all at the same time. It jumps back and forth in time giving the reader two different versions of the same man. I found myself reading for h...

CookieMonster911: The story overall was an adventure that is appealing to any age. The way the characters develop adds a more human characteristic to the novel. The writing style itself is amazing because you can learn every character's thoughts and emotions. The awkward love triangle and jerk moments adds to the ...

genlynne2379: I read the other review of this book and I must say that I disagree with it wholeheartedly. I do not believe the author put the apostrophes in the names just to be unique, but because the characters are supposedly of a different race than humans. They are Anmah. They should have different names a...

ernbelle: When I first started this story I was a little unsettled by all of the information that appears in the prologue, and wasn't sure if I would continue. However, I am very glad I did. The plot was very well thought out and really interesting. There were not any page breaks or markers to acknowledge ...

Melissa Davis: Interesting book and an enjoyable read. Had something different to it, that made me glad I picked it up.

Kasei Bulloch: At the beginning I wasn't very into the story but I kept reading and was more hooked than I was with Battle of the Wills. All of a sudden I had devoured chapter after chapter then the book was over. I am dying for The Compact. Please help a girl out!

themyronus: Vanessa has made 'amazing' the norme. I didn't want to read this as I am waiting for the finished and polished book to come out. But then I decided to read one chapter for kicks...well hours later I finished what was posted. Fortunately, my memory is not to good and I hope I will read the book wi...

Alexis Dredd Zarcal: Overall, it's a rather thrilling piece, merging superstition, psychology, slice of life, and the usual Japanese risque fare. All the elements have rhyme and reason in being placed together. The respective background stories of the characters involved so far also give a sense of flair and thrill.I'...

mullikin902: Do not start reading this book unless you have enough time to finish it in one sitting, because you will not be able to put it down! Superlative! Addictive! Deliciously wicked characters you can't get enough of. Impatiently waiting for the sequel!

Karl12: This is a very unusual sci-fi mystery. I enjoyed the suspense which was present throughout the story. I loved how I never knew what to expect from the characters. This made the story thrilling and made me suspicious of everything and everyone. You have a great style of writing – one which captiva...
