Hello and welcome to the world of man made monsters, where blood is the currency for all...
I have spent the better part of two years refining this story, and even now there are still bits and bobs I would like to change, but I think it’s ready for your viewing.
The manuscript for this novel is already complete and edited (THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION), so if you’d like to have a read of the polished work, it’s currently available on my Patreon. The entire story is 70k words long encompassing 40 chapters, so it’s a bit slow, but stick with it. I promise it’ll be worth it at the end!
This story is copyright protected.
There’s a lot of character thought documented in this story, which will be illustrated through italics, underlining and bold text. But I’ll let you know what is what at the start of a new chapter, so it’s clear. If you catch any spelling mistakes or plot holes, please please please, tell me in the comments, and let me know what you think.
I’m so excited for you guys to see this; I’ve been working on this for so long now. It’s been a very long journey but here we are!
So without further ado, it is my utmost pleasure to present Subject Xero...
‘There are worse fates than death.’
I never knew what it meant until that day. Everything changed the day I found out. The day he died. The sun, caged by the horizon, provided no ease to my frost bite. Fingers, toes, limbs lost their connection as I lost my connection to compassion. To hope. To dreams.
Worse fates than death, surely there can’t be?
Believe me. There are.
I am one of them.
And it’s all your fault.
