A figurine of a penguin added a nice touch to the desk of a new teacher who was in classroom 122 this year. She picked up a paper with no name. She announced to the class, “I found a paper with no name! I’m going to read it out loud. Please raise your hand if you recognize it!” She moved closer to the front of the class and read, “What I want to be when I grow up is a teacher. I want to be a teacher so I can be an NPC…” “That’s my paper, Ms. Satchel!” a boy in the back corner interrupted. The teacher walked closer to him and asked, ”What’s an ‘NPC’?” The boy replied, “Oh, it means ‘Nice Person that Cares’.”
“Oh, so that’s what it means. Good work, my friend! Write your full name at the top please. Don’t forget it next time. We’ve got two days off for the weekend - I don’t want you to forget what I told you!” The boy wrote his name, Maxwell Cody, in a penmanship that screamed, ’I’m crazy but sane when I need to be.
